Andy, what kind of dogs do you have? Don't say dalmatians. ;) One of our local firefighters has a dalmatian. The two of them run all over town together in their DFD shirts.

I guess I can stop after I reach 100:confused3, besides I can't win the competition since I'm giving away REALLY COOL prizes for the winners (errr, highest score after mine :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:).

Would those be the first losers? :rotfl:

I have a Shep/Chow/Huskie/Rottie mix that I rescued from the pound as a puppy. She is my true "dalmation in disguise". :lmao: Whenever my volunteer dept has a call she goes nuts waiting to climb in the car and go with me...

The other two are miniature pinschers. One I bought from a breeder (first and only time I ever did that.) and one is a pure breed that I rescued. Ironically, when I got the papers on the one I rescued I found out her father was the #3 ranked min pin in the nation.

All three get the run of the firehouse whenever they go there. :cool1:

That's awesome! I love dogs that you can take with you! I've got to get our puppy trained. He's a nut. Wayyy too much energy. Maybe if I can get the treadmill back in here, we can get him running on it. He doesn't like being out in the rain on walks and we sure have LOTS of rain here. If we can get him trained by September, maybe he can stay with grandma rather than a kennel. Maybe I'll pay my mom to fly in and stay with the dogs. :thumbsup2

How do your dogs handle the snow?

The mixed breed loves the snow. She was made for that kind of weather and will literally spend hours running, jumping, rolling and laying around in the snow. Her favorite game is playing catch with snowballs and she thinks it is fun for me to throw a armful of snow onto her as she runs past.

The little ones are great if they feel protected. Their coats are too sparse to handle the cold and I have had a couple of small incidents due to exposure to the cold. I got them hooded sweatshirts and if I put them on they are set to play in it for a reasonable amount of time. When they enjoy it most is after an ice crust forms on top of the snow, they got to the edge of the shoveled path and jump up on top and skitter around with very little traction. They appear to like it. After their first major snowstorm two years ago I began to dig the "min pin raceway" in the yard whenever it is more than a few inches. I make a huge circle so they can run around it and take care of their business. This year it even has a "pit area" for them to go to. :rotfl:

Happy Sunday everyone!

I was up before the sun to catch early church and then in training with the fire dept. all day long. It is pretty cold out there when you are in the elements for close to 8 hours straight.

I finally made it home so now it is warm clothes, football and my puppies.:woohoo:

That sounds like HOT CHOCOLATE time to me!!!

I wish I could just push a button and a professional looking, fully-decorated tree just shows up the day after Thanksgiving :confused3

...and that SAME EXACT button makes it all go away the Day After Christmas :wizard:

Maybe you can invent an "easy" button for Christmas decorating! Then you wouldn't have to worry about working multiple jobs for Disney money; you could just sit back and watch it roll in from the "easy" buttons! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I had to dig a path for my dog a couple years ago when we got two feet of snow. I dug it going from the front door around the house to the back door. Ever since then she won't do her business in the grass....she only goes on the concrete! :confused3 Silly dog! :lmao:

Well...I gotta go get ready for work. It should be a fun day. My DD elbowed me on the cheekbone last night and now I have a black eye. :sad2:

HAPPY MONDAY, everyone!

Sadly, I've been sucked in by some other threads. I know I should not read them, or comment on other stupid comments that people make, but sometimes I just can't help myself. :sad2:
We need more chatter here to keep me busy so I can stay away from all the drama on some other threads. :thumbsup2

Drama? Did I hear (read) drama? I love drama ... movies, books, message board threads that make me popcorn::

I wish I could just push a button and a professional looking, fully-decorated tree just shows up the day after Thanksgiving :confused3

Fortunately there is SUCH a button! There are two actually and generally found on a small gray box in front of a cashier's check out counter. One is called "credit" and one is called "debit" :thumbsup2

...and that SAME EXACT button makes it all go away the Day After Christmas :wizard:

No, all Christmas trees in this house must stay up until after my birthday :cool1: Geez, did ya really think all these years we left it up until after January due to apathy  I am sure that the credit and debit buttons work for "tree take down and removal" though.

I was all Team Edward ... until New Moon came out. So glad Taylor Lautner is over 18 now. It makes me feel slightly less creepy for sitting there drooling.
So, Terrie likes pirates AND vampires. We've got to chat books and movies! :thumbsup2

I know what you mean! The movie should have had a disclaimer ...
"Bib and pacemaker may be necessary for some viewers"

Always love to discuss books and movies! Totally hooked on Vampire/Pararomance books. Just finished listening to all of Laurell K. Hamilton's books, both the Anita Blake series and the Meredith Gentry series. Now listening to book one of The Black Dagger Brotherhood series and reading The Confession by John Grisham.

Hopefully it was not Leah Clearwater... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Thanks! I'm still not close to your count though.

No worries, he's not eligible to win

Would those be the first losers? :rotfl:

I would call it the winner of all those eligible to win :thumbsup2

HAPPY MONDAY, everyone!

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear that  Well, since misery loves company ... I cracked my tooth and can't eat or drink anything without feeling sensations that range from "mild discomfort" to OMG why is someone sticking a screwdriver through my brain! Got to see the dentist again today. They will start me with a crown and if that doesn't work the next step is a root canal :scared1:

Ouch Terrie sorry to hear that. Good luck with the crown, too bad it's not a diamond plated one for your head ;)

Debbie ouch to you too! I hope you made up a good story to go with that black eye.

Everyone have a great start to a new week. Remember we are getting closer!!!!!:goodvibes

I'm not that great of a story teller so I just told the truth. Lol. I think my eye actually looks better than it feels...it is really tender.

Terrie - I've had a root canal and they really aren't that bad. Honestly I thought the worst part was getting the crown. I hope you get it fixed quick!
