We finally finished packing. Gotta be up at 5:00 and out the door by 5:30. We have way too much luggage-- 3 suitcases for one week! We go to Dallas for work tomorrow and aren't finished there until Monday. The formalwear takes up A LOT of space. That I couldn't make up my mind about which shoes to take is not helping. The other thing that isn't helping is that I have a really hard time believing the weatherman when it comes to WDW forecasts in January. :confused3

On the way to Disneyland, we were lucky to miss the rain, snow and earthquakes :goodvibes It's very sunny here, not a cloud in the sky, just a little bit of wind and that's all. Rode the Columbia, ate Mexican food, took pics at DCA, got our FP's for TOT and WOC. Resting now at VGC. :cloud9:

Sounds like a great time Jennifer! Enjoy your stay and report back when ever you get a chance.

Have a great time on your Adult Only Vacation! I have never understood women and their shoes. I bet Dan is packing two pair which will suffice just fine. How many pair did you end up packing Sue? Suppose one for ever potential outfit, right? I know I'm not making and friends with the women-folk here, but I think most of the guys know where I'm coming from. Especially when we lug the suitcases around.

I hope you have great weather ... rain-free and warm!

What makes it worse is the Mayor went oin TV and told everyone how good the snow removal is going. Meanwhile the street where I work has still not been plowed! I might smack the Mayor next time he walks in my restaurant. I hired someone to clean my street so I could do business.

We had a blizzard here in March 1998 and we lived 7 houses down the street from an elementary school. Our road wasn't touched for about four or five days. One of our neighbors actually plowed our street for us. Please don't smack the mayor....I don't want a DISfriend going to jail for assault/battery. Just say some really loud obnoxious things to him to embarrass him. :thumbsup2

Debbie sorry to hear about your DD being sick. We've had our share here too. Our DS had a tummy upset for a couple of days. I took MArk into urgent care today and find out he has bronchitis and double ear infections. Poor guy.

Everyone else be safe and Happy New Year!:yay:

Thanks, Lynn! She seemed to be feeling MUCH better after her first dose of antibiotics. I'm sorry to hear about your DS being sick and Mark being sick. I hope they are both feeling 100% better soon!

Debbie - Sorry to hear your DD was sick  Hope she feels better soon!

I took this very early on during the storm. I thought I would share it with all of you.

These are my two little ones. I also have a Shep/Chow/Huskie/Rottie mix (a lover not a biter) who was born for this weather, she was in heaven...

Oh very cute! Post a picture of your other baby, sounds like an interesting combination! Sorry to hear about your Sgt. Master

Terrie: Wisconsin Badgers are a college/university in the Big Ten (although we have more than 10 teams now). So they are active in all sports, with Football and Basketball being the most prominent.

Ah! Thank you for translating :goodvibes

We are off to WDW in a few hours! Checking in at SSR and having NYE dinner at the Yachtsman tonight. Then we will wait to ring in the New Year at Epcot! Tomorrow, is Queen's table at Victoria & Albert's  Can't wait!

Have a great time in the world. Lucky you.

Lynn- have a great trip. Wonderful food choices for this time of the year. Keep us posted of how your trip goes.

Well, I think I have said before my preference in order would be: Purdue (my alma mater), Indiana (still home-state), Michigan & 'State (where we lived before), the Big Ten teams, and then Kentucky & Louisville (where I worked before). So Wisconsin makes the list of teams I root for (as long as they aren't playing against a team I listed higher).

John - I think back in the 90's, UW Madison dropped the baseball program. They wanted to concentrate on sports that brought in more revenue to the athletics program. (but big time college athletics is about the "student" athletes ... :cheer2: :confused3

So excited about going on this disney dream cruise. First time on a disney cruise. LOts of questions. about getting to Port. Does anybody know if when we get off the plane we get a disney cruiseline bus that will take you down to the port right away after departure or do we find our own transportation? thanks for any info. will ask more in the coming weeks.

John,
Good thing you are kidding about the Badger Fans.. :eek:whew! My DH and I are almost rabid when it comes to the Badgers...:lmao: His Disney $ job is actually working concessions for them for Football, Men's Hockey and Men's Basketball..Really wishing we could go to the Rose Bowl.. but alas only so many vacation days and only so much in the bank account

"badgers? we don't have any badgers. we don't need no stinking badgers!"

Hi all!

I pulled an all-nighter on Tuesday night at my boys' Boy Scout "Big Event". Usually the biggest part of the night is taken up by video games, but this year's big hit was the Nerf gun fight. It went on for HOURS! They had a great time. The adults played board games and chatted. My sleep is all messed up now though. I slept from midnight to six and then was wide awake. I got up, showered, turned on the Doctor Who marathon on BBCA and feel asleep on the sofa for about three hours. Ack!

Today is our 17th wedding anniversary. Jason has to work tonight. So, we don't have any plans. But, at least he came home this morning and remembered it was our anniversary. Even brought me a Starbucks. :goodvibes See how easy to please I am? He's so lucky. :rotfl2:
