Ok it's taken me days and a phone call with my wonderful techo no geek brother in law Dan aka Truffel, to get this working!:cool1:
I now have my own log in and can rip on my DS with out using "his" log on to do so!
So here my info for all of the stuff that everyone is keeping track of:
Michael and I are shacking up with Dan and Sue in room 8656 for the member cruise. We have already sent email to participate in the fish exchange. I am already a friend on facebook. DH and I will have to get a photo and info in for the gallery. I don't get up well, so I probably won't do the coffee club, but I may change my mind. We can increase the count by one for Wisconsin (Go Badgers) and I don't expect to get any pirate: or :bride: so I should not be a threat to others.

It's great to be back as me and not M & N Potter! We'll let Michael use that log in!

Hi Nancy,

Nice to meet you (again)!

We don't allow Badger fans here on the DISboard ... Just kidding (I'll update the list).

Nice summary, by the way. And really cool signature line.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MICHAEL! Dan & Sue's (Truffle) DS

Okay, you all are confusing me. Why does Michael appear to be everyone's son (DS)? Is he such a great guy that everyone wishes he was their long lost son, or did I miss something?

I never heard for certain, but always assumed the abbreviation stands for "Dear whatever", right? For example DSIL would be Dear Sister-in-law?

So Shellie May's got herself two men? What a hussy! :rotfl2:

I just figured she's lucky! :rotfl2:

Strumpet, tart, double timer? Or just very, very lucky?

Ah, you read my mind!

If Snow White can have seven dwarfs, then Shelly Mae can have two fellows.

Great idea! The more the merrier :thumbsup2 Might have to hit up Build A Bear for variety :lmao:

If I pick up even one Angel before the cruise, you won't be seeing me there ... and when I explain to Lara that you said it was OK, you had better hope you don't see her on the cruise either.

That might depend on how you spin it :rolleyes1 Wally can bring home an angel and I'd be ok with it as long as her "duties" were relegated to ONLY to cleaning, cooking, running errands ... you get the idea.

YAY! Love the siggie it's way :cool2: Since I don't speak sports, are the Badgers, football, baseball or hockey :confused3 or are my first three guesses wrong  Now, now, you must at least try to get a pirate: and :bride: it's fun!

Good morning everyone.
All of my IN neighbors did you feel your earthquake this morning? I hope all is well. Our news said it was felt in IL. and OH., we did not feel it. They said it was small but still hope all is well.:goodvibes

Wooohooo go NY!!!!!

John I absolutely agree with this all being so confusing. :confused3 I have spent countless hours trying to figure out who was a "Potter" and how they were all related. I even took into consideration a long-distance relationship with a certain pixiedust: wizard :wizard: as someone (cough, cough) has that magical ability to just snatch up pirate: & :bride: right and left...

This whole "Michael" issue now has me perplexed. Unless each branch of the family tree sprouts out a Michael, someone is sharing dna where it does not belong... :rolleyes1 :lmao:

As a side note, I have managed to make it through the worst of this darn storm here in NY. My area was hit pretty hard and the local town did a really bad job of managing the snow cleanup. Thankfully, with my local fire dept we had zero responses to injuries and no deaths due to the storm. We were able to continue full response with no delay. Unfortunately, at work we were not so lucky. We lost a Master Sgt. to a heart attack when the medical crews were unable to respond in a timely fashion due to the snow.

I really feel like it is time for this cruise already... :hourglass I keep seeing Rachel showing us more of the dream every couple of days, now it should be time for us to see it ourselves. :boat:

I hope everyone is doing well and for those leaving early, I hope each of you have a fantastic, safe, happy and healthy new year! party:

Guess I have to turn on the news to find out when and where it was centered. We felt nothing here in Indy.

A few years ago there was one centered around southern IL, which we felt here. Lara thought it was the guy upstairs doing something (or someone). I told her it was an earthquake, so we went back to sleep. I know Californians will criticize me, but we were tired.

It was late and I was not doing well. Here is the family tree

Dan (Truffel) is married to Sue (clayfolks)
Dan's brother is Michael (M & N Potter)
I (stitchnbead3) am married to Michael
Dan and Michael have a sister Laura (lpotter) who is married to Jim (not currently on disboards)

I hope that clears things up!

I heard the guy filling in for Rush Limbaugh (it was a 3 hour drive to northern IN by myself, so I don't want to hear it) talking about the weather in NYC. He said folks were getting pretty upset about the snow removal, or lack thereof. Outside his hotel was a bread truck stuck in the middle of the road. A day later ... still there. There was a hot dog cart abandoned in the middle of the street too. Hopefully by now they are making some headway on the snow, especially so emergency services can be restored. Very lucky to not have any calls for that day. Do you think you could have even made it throught the snow? Do you install snow chains on the trucks when the weather is like this?

Sorry to hear about the Master Sgt. One of our friends from IN or IL reminded everyone to take it easy while shoveling snow this year. I forget who it was, but wise advise. I need to get into better shape for the heavy wet snow.

By the way, any of you who work along-side roads, listen up. I also heard that roughly 150 police officers were killed last year. Only about half were firearm related. The rest were roadway accidents! So be very careful. This applies to a lot of people besides officers: firemen, ambulance, construction, utility, surveyors, etc. As a surveyor I know you get numbed to the traffic flying by at 60 mph, but the threat is always the same. So please try to remain alert.
