OK I really have missed alot by not coming here but I still don't have a computer, will by this weekend. I am using my work computer right now. For those going to the DIS Meet this weekend at Woodfield, wish i was going but can't. Have a good time.

To answer some questions that I have gotten after I posted my "what's been happenign to me" about 10 pages ago or so. the little black cloud still is hovering overhead but it seems to be moving off at a very slow rate :confused3

What is keeping me going is in 3 weeks I will be at the Poly having a much deserved vacation. :woohoo:

Cannot wait for the DIS meet on Saturday!!! We are staying at Springhill Suites Friday, maybe Saturday night....if Jim lets me. What time does everyone want to do lunch? I figured Rainforest Cafe since they are large enough to seat us all at one time. How many people are coming?? I thought I would call on Friday and secure some sort of time. Let me know. I think we will have about 25 people there....counting kids. Yippee!! Don't forget to come prepared with your answer to the question...."What would your dream Disney job be?"

You can count Micahel and Nancy Potter in on the Rainforest Cafe too!:cool1:

Hi Kelly you can count Mark and I in for lunch. We are looking so forward to Saturday.
Everyone coming Saturday travel safely please.

Well, it's been SNOWING here all day long. This may be the third time we've had snow this winter. Very late snowfall here. All the bulbs were already coming up. Hoping this doesn't kill our spring flowers!

So, since I've been freezing my toes off today, I decided to work on my trip plans and went ahead and booked the Poly for two nights after the cruise. (Yoohoo, Andy!!:rolleyes1) I was leaning that way already. I thought about renting some points for BLT, but I think we'll have more space at the Poly. I also thought about booking BCV or just a room at BC. But, as my brilliant DS16 pointed out, if we want an awesome pool, we can just go to a water park.

I may miss the hot tub though. Hmmmm, can you still pool hop to another resort (excluding the restricted ones) as a DVC member if you aren't staying on points? I'll have to look that one up. We probably wouldn't anyway. But, it's nice to know if we have options or not.

Oh, I also booked Portofino Bay at Universal this morning for our first two nights (preWDW, preDCL). Using the AAA discount, it was the same price as the Royal Pacific. Now, if the prices drop at Royal Pacific, I may switch.

Now I just need my Southwest flight rewards to post and then I can book our airfare!! :headache:

Answering my own question: Nope!

Pool Hopping Information

Whenever you are staying on your Membership at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, or The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you and any Guests staying with you, are permitted to use most of the other Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney World® Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the resort hotel at which you are staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you are visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that resort hotel. Please check with a Host or Hostess at the Front Desk of the resort hotel you wish to visit before you go to find out about pool-access availability. You must present your current "Key to the World" card with your "DVC Member" designation on it to use the other resort hotel pools.

Pool hopping is not available at Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, and the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas. There are no exceptions to this policy. As a reminder, during times of high occupancy, please be mindful of the limited number of pool chairs available, and refrain from leaving towels or personal items on unoccupied pool chairs.

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected, Disney Vacation Club Members and any Guests staying with them may not pool hop during the following dates*:

  • February 14-20, 2010 (Sun – Sat)
  • March 27 – April 10, 2010 (Sun – Sat)
  • May 28 – 31, 2010 (Fri – Mon)
  • June 27 – July 5 (Sun – Mon)
  • Sept 3 – 6, 2010 (Fri – Mon)
  • Nov 22 – 28, 2010 (Mon – Sun)
  • Dec 12, 2010 – Jan 2, 2011 (Sun – Mon)

*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity

In case you missed it on the main board, they've lowered the height requirement for the Aquaduck.

http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/di...eight-requirement-for-disney-dreams-aquaduck/

Beginning today, more kids will be able to ride the AquaDuck, the water coaster onboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Dream.
MousePlanet.com first reported and a DCL spokesperson confirmed Wednesday that the minimum height requirement for kids will drop from 48 inches to 42 inches.

To ride alone, however, the height requirement increases from 48 inches to 54 inches. Also, kids must be at least 7 years old to ride alone. Otherwise, they must ride with someone 14 or older.

I was just thinking.....

Will MNSSHP be going on while we are down there in September??? I know most of us will be staying on after the cruise. Is there a chance we could actually go and see it and take part??? Not sure what the dates/hours are. Anyone know?? I am soooo doing it, if we can!!:cool1:

Hi Kelly,

MNSSHP usually starts around Mid-September (select nights of the week) and runs thru November 1st. I believe a few folks did MNSSHP after the member cruise.

Yippee!!! I was hoping. What is included in the price for the party? Is it every night?

Thanks, Wally!

It's only on select nights, but you get entrance into MK @ 4PM. At 7PM, the party really starts and they start "kicking" people without a party ticket out. For the price of the ticket, you get 1)short lines for rides (since they only have party goers there), 2)trick-or-treat stations, 3)Best Parade (hands down), and 4)Best Fireworks (hands down), oh and you can dress up too ;). We've gone on Halloween Day every year, and it's AWESOME!!!
