Ok, I need info on this event. First off....can any DVCer go or do you have to be invited?? I never got an invitation. My guide, Derek, is based out of DWTD in Schaubmurg...I wonder why I didn't get an invite. Anyway, is the ornament free?? What type of activities, events, promotions did they have? Was this the only weekend for it??

Kelly, We never got an invite either? The only way we found out about it was on the boards.. The ornament is a flat pewter ornament that looks like Mickey as a gingerbread boy. Came in a little red velvet pouch. The movie bit was talking about the construction process a bit and how Disney is honoring the traditions of Hawaii. Then, a bit of food and a tour of the BLT mock up. Nothing much. Explained that they are having a 10% off sale Black Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I have no idea. I do know that CarolAnn talked about one before the holidays. For some reason though, she hasn't been on here in ages. Maybe we should just try to plan one. I would be more than happy to do that. What do you think?? Any ideas??

Would love to have one! After the holidays would be best, I think. DWTD was what was mentioned before. Maybe we could do that and eat at rainforest cafe afterward. Maybe even check into getting some kind of special discount at the disney store! That's all I can come up with for now.

Hi all. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
Kelly we went to D2D today too. It was fun albeit we had a bit of a wait,
30 -40 minutes. They had us lined up along the mall corridor. They allowed only a certain amount of people in the store at a time, so as a group would move they would allow more in. We watched a video and then had some treats and then the self tour of the BLT model. My DD won an Aulani backpack after some trivia games. And the black Friday deals already mentioned. We got the invite via email.
We did however get to meet briefly with Dan and Sue How cool is that? Hi Dan and Sue Part of my family was heading into the theater they almost closed the door before we got in, this cut our meeting short Sorry guys didn't mean to run.
It was a fun time. We shopped a little after and had dinner at Cheesecake Factory.

Lynn, it was good to meet you and Mark. Too bad it was such a brief meet! We were quite surprised that you knew who we were! It will be great to spend a little more time with you! We couldn't resist, and made an appointment for next weekend. We will see how expensive wedding dress shopping is this coming Friday...

We ate at Geno's East pizza. I ordered a large deep dish and ate only 2 slices, I knew if you guys were with us Wally would have finished off the other 6. That's ok, now I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Would have been great to see you guys though.

You had posted a picture of your Dis meet a few weeks ago I can somtimes remember faces just not names Good luck next weekend. I would love to buy more, just can't now.
Are congratulations in order, from your statement above? When is the wedding? Our DD will be married at the GF wedding pavillion on July 20.
