:)Thanks Dan!

This is my DH Jim.. He sits dressed like this just about every year for Halloween.. The sign says.. Please take only 2 pieces of candy.. Happy Halloween.. The unsuspecting child reaches for the candy.. and lo.. he make a noise or jumps to  them..

This evening as I was watching from the kitchen a Dad approached telling his children.. look it's just a dummy.. Grabbed Jim's arm shook it and said see..It's not real.. Good job on the stuffing but not real.. he proceeded to reach in and Jim simply said I am too real.. He jumped about six feet and I started looking for the AFD device..
The other funny one was when a 12 year old girl reached into take 3 or
4 pieces and Jim said" The sign say take 2 can't you read?!" I think the scream was heard for about 3 blocks!

Too funny! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing::thumbsup2Good trick. Hoosier John (John) use to scare kids that came to our house also.

Believe it or not, this is the first time I've ever carved a pumpkin. I did it all on my own from start to finish, nobody else wanted in on the fun! They aren't perfect but I'm happy with them! Like I said, it was my first time, and here they are:

Hi! Everyone I am joining you because I have the best sister ever. who is taking me on this cruise. My name is Kristen I am a special education teacher and I live in Williamsburg VA. I have 2 children (age 4,7) who will not be joining me but I will not feel too guilty because we are sailing the Dream on Oct. 27th. So I will enjoy this girls only trip.:dance3: looking forward to all of the fun and relaxation!:grouphug:

Hello, Jennifer! What an exciting morning!
Thanks for posting the images for posterity, Jennifer!
Exciting and you're welcome!!! :goodvibes

Great pumpkin carving!
Wonderful pumpkins! I really like the bat!:thumbsup2
Thank you, my daughters are very creative :artist:
Well, since we are up to our necks in trick-or-treaters, I thought I would take a moment to share something. This is one of our pumpkins: I don't know what the inspiration for that was... :rolleyes1

IF I EVER FIND MY PHOTO OF ME AS A KLINGON I WILL HAVE TO POST IT. I USED TO DO OUR GARAGE AND DRIVE WAY AS HAUNTED DUNGEON BUT CHANGED IT EVERY YEAR. ALL MY OLD OUTFITS BECAME PART OF THE DISPLAY. WE USED TO gET BETWEEN 300 TO 400 KIDS. THE YEAR I WAS THE KLINGON I WENT THRU DRIVE THRUS AFTER TO HAVE A LAFF. :rotfl2:I MISS DOING IT. GETTING TO OLD:rotfl2:
Never too old!!! :yay:
:)Thanks Dan!

Did y'all get done in by vampires?
Yes, was it Edward or Jacob?...:confused3....Actually, we had to put a sign up because we ran out of candy!!! :sad2:

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing::thumbsup2Good trick. Hoosier John (John) used to scare kids that came to our house also.

Yeah, that was the MOST fun I have ever had for Halloween. Very similar to what Jim (lpotter's husband) did. Different mask (Jason), overalls, and showing more stuffing.

I learned not to do anything to the very young ones. They lost too much candy in the yard. And the young, but experienced Tric-or-Treaters seemed to take the maniquin coming to life with little problem.

It was the seasoned trick-or-treaters that I really enjoyed. When they first saw me, they talked amongst themselves trying to decide real or fake. Once they convinced themeselves that I was fake, they went about collecting candy, and were VERY shocked when I came to life. I got the sense that the younger ones were less scared because they never had to decide real or fake. Thus coming alive was less of a surprise to them.

Like I say, and I'm sure Jim would agree. This is too much fun not to try at least once in a lifetime. Get them when their eyes are on the candy. They are very distracted at that point. I was slumped next to the door. So two of us could enjoy the reactions, because the candy was passed out as normal from the house.

Karen -Sending prayers and pixie dust:wizard: to your BIL

Thanks! He's doing much better now. I got a message from him that said he was in the exact same hospital room that my sister-in-law was in when she was in a car wreck back in 2007 and broke her neck in several places. We're hoping for the same miraculous recovery for him as well. You'd never know that my SIL was almost killed (shouldn't have even survived the crash, never mind all the injuries to her spinal column) by looking at her. She had the Christopher Reeves type break as well as others and was internally decapitated. She now has full mobility after a new procedure they tried on her. :thumbsup2

About to chow down on cornbread, fried chicken, BBQ beans & ribs and finish it off with strawberry shortcake @ HOOP-DEE-DOO REVUE :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Does anyone else see anything wrong here?

Anyone?

Isn't Wally on vacation?:confused3

Didn't Terri mention how excited she was about vacation and not having the phone or computer.....or something along those lines?

Didn't Wally just join the DIS as a result of booking the SSMC11?

I think someone has a serious addiction. :lmao: :lmao:

Wally hope you, Terri, and your friends are having a great time. And, I hope you leave WDW with some food for the rest of us on our upcoming vacations.

Off work today, but did not accomplish much. Still tired from working the weekend. Checked out K Cup supplies at our Super Target. They were $1.00 off, but did not find any I liked in particular. Husband's pirate costume came in and it does fit. My vest is just a wee bit tight. Reason for me not to overindulge this holiday season. Ordered our limo service to the airport for our Dec WDW
trip. Our DME came today as well. Love when everything comes into
play. I want to wait one more week before pre- ordering our
photopass CD. I want to make
sure our Sept pictures are all
cleared first. Tonight is hand bell
ringing practice. We are getting
ready for Christmas. I must say,
I am having fun reading everyone's
posts and getting to know a little about everyone. Have a great
evening and hopefully your phone will not keep ringing. I must have
had 10 political calls already
today.

<snip>And, I hope you leave WDW with some food for the rest of us on our upcoming vacations.
Me too! We arrive on Friday, and I don't think that leaves much time for WDW to replace that food before we get there! :duck:
Have I mentioned that I love to eat? ::yes::

WOW!!! That sounds like it was a real life nightmare! I'm glad she has recovered so well!!! What a scary ordeal!!!

:eek:Have a Blast!!! Wish we were there.. Oh yeah..29 more days and we will be! :rotfl:

WE ARE ALSO THERE IN 29 DAYS. DID I MISS OR FORGET WHEN YOU SAID YOU WOULD BE THERE.:confused3 MAYBE I HAD BRAIN FART:rotfl2:

16 days till my Thanksgiving trip:love: Dreaming of a great time in some great resorts

17 days until my Birthday trip. That one hour drive to WDW just takes too long. ;)

21 days, 12 hours, and 56 minutes until my flight takes off for WDW. :woohoo:
