Just caught up, wow...

And a funny story about our cat loving friends in Indiana.

We went to dinner with them to a bar/restaurant in a small town outside of the town we lived in. Not the most redneck bar I been in, but most everyone knew each other, and knew that we weren't local.

The restaurant side was dimly lit and full of people enjoying dinner. We ordered drinks then dinner. Our friend's husband had a Corona, which of course is served with a lime wedge. When it arrives, he does this little trick where he pushes the lime into the bottle, then holding his thumb over the mouth, inverts the bottle a few times to distribute the lime flavor. This causes pressure to build up in the bottle, so he then continues to hold his thumb over the mouth until the pressure has settled down.

Out of the corner of my eye, I notice an older lady with a big hairdue at the table next to us, kinda flapping her hands over her head and looking up at the ceiling. So I start look at the ceiling too, expecting to see a water leak from the roof. In the dim light, I can just make out a thin line of liquid spraying right into that hair! As I shifted around a little, I could barely make out that it was coming from his thumb-capped Corona bottle.

I couldn't say anything, rather just hoped it would subside before they were able to trace it to us. Her husband, who was rather stocky - mostly from muscle, was helping to find the leak too. Luckily for us the pressure quit before they could track it to us. And since no one at our table ever had a clue, they just continued their converstion as normal. Except for me. The only thing that kept me from laughing out loud, was the fear of getting beaten in the parking lot.

To this day neither of the other two know what happened.

OMG, I'm so stuffed...Had a Halloween Potluck and I think I tried everything.

We had one too....

chili, hot dogs, homemade pound cake, mac and cheese, these incrediable spinach and pesto sandwiches with sun dried tomatoes and cheese... strawberry cake, apple salad, fruit, veggies.... I need caffeine!!!

Must have nap.... I'm wondering how much trouble an employee would get in for climbing under her desk and taking a nap.

John - your story about the Corona is hillarious!!!! Why didn't you ever tell the other couple what happened? Would it embarras them too much? I think the next time you're out with them you need to tell him to make sure he's got his thumb over the entire mouth of the bottle. And then when he asks why tell him he gave someone a beer shower last time.

Hi Debbie, it's been a long time ago, but I seem to recall him kinda making a deal about the method he had (almost) perfected. The steam was spider web thin, but I bet that lady's hair still smelled of beer when she got home. It still cracks me up just thinking about it.

The game was SO MUCH FUN!!!! To actually be there, it was crazy, so many people. My husband and I both born and raised in San Francisco, so we had to be there! ATT Park is one of the nicest ballparks around. So if you come out to SF, visit the ballpark then hit the Walt Disney Family Museum. Not too far from the park.

As my husband put it, you just never know what the SF Giants are going to do......I was
when we were down 2, and Allen kept on saying, "don't worry, the SF Giants will surprise you...And that they did! They must have did their research with Lee, he was flabbergasted......In the 6th inning, he ran off that mound. Wow, it was a great game!!!
