I always love the first snows. About Feb. I have had enough

In Michigan there was an email about the excitement on the first snowfall, then slowly progresses the pure hatred of the stuff by the end. I wish I could find that, but it was on an old computer and I haven't seen it since.

Hey friends.

If I could ask for some prayers to head my way I would appreciate it. My dad, 55 years old, was diagnosed in 2007 with prostate cancer. He went through the robotic surgery and they removed his prostate. He was fine for a while, then the cancer came back in late 2008. He then went through agressive radiation. He has been cancer free since 2009, however he just had another PSA test today and his levels are starting to rise again. I just called him and he is devastated.

If you could just say a prayer for my family and send "Whitey" good wishes I would appreciate it. He is the best!!

Isn't that why you go to the southern Caribbean? Just to have that tropical paradise (and temperatures!) as a contrast?

Yep, exactly!

I thought we had timed it so well when our temps here dropped out of the 70's we left. But now that we're back, it is getting considerably worse. May need to go back.

Kelly, I'm no expert, but I would say you should do what ever you can to lift his spirits. Feeling down cannot be a benefit at this point.

I got that several years ago too. I may be able to dig it up eventually.

That could be the exact same one. I got it roughtly 8 yrs ago. It started out slow and serine then just became hilarious (at least for those who have dealt with tons of snow).

Ian should know what we're talking about. We lived in southwestern MI about 20 miles offshore where the the lake effect snow really started to peak. Our average snowfall was 75 inches a year, but there was a lot of variation.

WELL ANOTHER DAY ENDS AT DISNEY. DUDLEY HAS MADE SOME NEW FRIENDS. TONITE WE ATE AT THE CAPTAINS GRILLE AT THE YACHT CLUB. WE TOLD THE WAITRESS DUDLEY WANTED TO MEET THE CHEF. SOOOOOOOOO THE WAITRESS WHO HAD ALREADY HAD HER PHOTO WITH DUDLEY, WENT AND BROUGHT OUT THE CHEF. HE THOUGHT I WAS DUDLEY. I SAID NOOOOOOOOOOOOO THERE IS DUDLEY. THE CHEF LAUGHED AND I NOW HAVE HIS PHOTO IN MY COLLECTION OF DUDLEY DOES DISNEY DUDLEY ENDED UP IN A COUPLE CHRISTMAS DISPLAYS AT THE RESORTS. PUT HIM IN THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE AT BOARDWALK, AND THE CHRISTMAS DISPLAY AT THE YACHT CLUB. HE EVEN RODE THE STEERING WHEEL OF ONE OF THE BUSES. TOMORROWS ANOTHER BIG DAY FOR DUDLEY AT EPCOT.

Ian, you've had a very long day! I've been following your exploits throughout the day. Sounds like a lot of fun ... wish I were there. Did you tell Laura about your adventure this morning? Is she embarassed or is she a team player?

I still remember her explaination of Deer Nuts to the bus driver last time, so I would imagine she rolls with the flow ... a real trooper so to say.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Ophie will always be within your hearts, and there will be days when life is so rough, she'll think about you (in doggie heaven) and you'll know why you're smiling. Oh, my eyes are tearing up, looking at my 2 year old "puppy", I can't imagine what it must be like, here's a BIG CYBER HUG for now till then, hang in there sweetie, it will be nice to actually meet you guys...

Arrived yesterday.. spent the afternoon at MK. The girls loved the castle! Dinner at Boma last night was wonderful.. This morning ostriches outside our balcony and the sun is streaming in the room. Jim is making breakfast and we are headed to Epcot for the day. Looking forward to meeting Ian, Laura and Dudley tonight!
