We do to save $$$ on our bar bill. I would rather spend $160 on jet skiing instead of alcohol.
There's a very reasonable liquor store just south of the port on the east side of the main road called ABC liquors. Hope that helps.

I just left you a reply on our 1/23 thread but it just hit me that there will be a ship inspection for TA's on 1/10!! I won't be able to do this inspection but I believe someone from our agency will be able to, so I will have them take pictures and then I will get back to you on that!

Do most of you BYOB on the cruise?

My wife always "tricks" me into thinking I can just buy at the Duty Free store onboard. But as you all know, they hold that until the last day of the cruise. Then she nags at me every time I buy a drink, even though my drinks are way less expensive than hers. I think we're supposed to get a stateroom credit of $50 for booking with the Disney card.

So this time I got smart and brought a bottle of rum onboard. The plan, a tip from last year's SSMC, was to bring a large insulated mug and refill it at the Coke stand. That worked to some extent, but I also brought a 2 liter of coke onboard to mix drinks in the room, without walking up to the Coke stand. These consumables make more room for the gifts when leaving.

For those who have done a B2B, will you be able to walk through customs between cruises with your Duty Free liquor, and then reboard with it?

Has anyone compared the Duty Free prices with retail? Are some of the "local" liqours (rum and maybe tequila) a better deal than the others?

I ask because when my wife returns from the UK, she claims that they have really good prices on Baileys, but not so great on other stuff.

I BROUGHT MY Eh! bottle holder on board with me. Everymorning i would put a resonable amount of Rum in it and go up top and get a nice Juice that would go good with RUM.
