09/18/11 - DVCers Take Over the Dream (S.S. Member Cruise 2011) - Thread #13

Boma was too good. Far too good. We both ate pretty much the same things. Lamb curry Malay with basmati rice was very good and flavorful, without being spicy. Fufu was sweet and tasty with a hint of thanksgiving. Roast sirloin with Masai Mara couldn't have been better. Not too well done either! At least it was as I requested - Medium rare. 4 kinds of soup: peanut - okay, but not worth finishing, mulligatawny - spectacularly delicious, seafood chowder - excellent, and the best of them all was the butternut! They werent serving it tonight and we mentioned that it was our favorite. Our server went over to Jiko, where they were serving it, and brought back a bowl for us. Jeff earned extra kudos (and tip) for that bit of extra! Mac and cheese was okay, and rather bland. The staples were good as usual: bobotie, couscous with dried fruit and nuts, couscous salad, lavosh and 3 kinds of hummus, nut crusted salmon, and a variety of vegetable dishes were all worth having some to try. Desserts are widely assorted and every body has their own favorite. I only had 6 different ones. We were so full that we walked back to kidani. Still miserably full!

One more day of work for me. We fly out early Saturday morning landing at Orlando at 11:25 and DME to Beach Club by around 1. Just finished packing except for the last items to go in right before we leave.

HI WE JUST BACK TO OUR ROOM AT OKW. WE HAD DINNER AT BOMA AT 8PM. WE LOVE BOMA. WE GO THERE EVERYTIME WE COME TO WDW. WEVE BEEN UP SINCE 430am MY LEGS ARE KILLING ME. I THINK IM ONE STEP AWAY FROM RENTING A SCOOTER WE ALWAYS HAVE ZEBRA DOMES AND RUM SAUCE ON THE BANANA BREAD PUDDING. I ALWAYS HAVE BOBOTIE AND FUFU WE WENT TO MGM AND DID STAR TOURS OVER AND OVER. ONLY 10 MIN WAIT.

What are the roolz (rhymes with droolz) about bringing a 750ml bottle of booze on the ship? Carry it on or shove it through checked luggage? Thanks in advance for your assistance. On the way to the airport now!! Don't want it confiscated at the port.

Bring as much as you want as long as it is in a Cary on bag. Which brings up my next point. Change to the wine club last minute! Seems many people expressed that 3 nights was too much. So wine club will now just be Tuesday at 10pm. I will still be there Sunday night with DW and DBFF'S so feel free to come.

My daughter Abbie (DD 20) applied to the Disneyland internship program, she passed the application and online interview.

Now she needs to pass the phone interview.

The interview is on Saturday September 24 at 9:00 am pst, (12:00 est)
We will be somewhere quiet in WDW.

Wishing her all the blessings a Disney mom can bless her with, some pixie dust and all the love in the world I have for her, and all the Dislove all of you have shared with me.
