This is my best guess at what we can expect on Embarkation Day (In part from Kelly's cruise this spring on the Dream):

11:00ish Approx. time doors open for Terminal Entry & Check-in.
First look at your dining rotation (expect one restaurant to be duplicated on 4 nighters).
This might be a good night to make reservations for Palo/Remy ($20/75 per person).
Noonish First groups allowed to board; Pools open and not crowded.
Guest services has short lines if you need anything (maps, check OB credit, pillow case)
View or photo Vibe/Edge/Oceanears clubs during preview before they open.
Cabanas Restaurant and Enchanted Garden should be open for lunch.
12:30-3:00 pm AquaDuck is Open. (Also have seen hours as 12:15 to 2:45. Wear swim gear onboard)
1:00 pm Ship tour (meet at the Port Adventures desk, Deck 5, midship)
1:00-3:30 pm Palo & Remy Bookings and Dining Assignment changes (D Lounge, deck 4 midship).
Check Navigator: Later reports are to book Palo & Remy AT the restaurants themselves.
1:30 pm Allowed access to room for first time (luggage should arrive before 5:30 pm).
2:00 pm Ship tour (meet at the Port Adventures desk, Deck 5, midship)
3:00 pm DisBoard Meet and Greet (all ship services suspended 3:45-4:30).
3:30-4:30 pm Palo & Remy reservation and dining schedule changes via phone (7-1831 / 1832).
3:45 pm Mandatory muster drill for all passengers (bring KTTW card; do not WEAR life jacket).
3:45 pm All Aboard.
4:30-5:15 pm Adventures Away! Sail Away Celebration, 45 min (meet us on Deck 12 at the forward funnel).
4:30-8:30 pm AquaDuck is open.
5:00 pm Cast off
5:45 pm Early Dinner (consult Key to the World or Tickets for Dining Room and Seating Time).
6:00 pm Gift shops open with Ltd Edition DVC gifts for sale (usually sells out by end of cruise).
6:15 pm Early Show in Walt Disney Theater, 3 & 4 Forward (Disney’s Believe).
8:15 pm Sunday Night Football (?).
8:15 pm Late Dinner (as a courtesy to your table-mates, please be on time).
8:30 pm Late Show in Walt Disney Theater, 3 & 4 Forward (Disney’s Believe).

Room keys work! No charge for chairs either.

Thanks for the info. Now what Kind of items will we need to purchase on the island? That is if we want too. Like Bottled water, etc? First time here so I have questions and I thought this would be the right place to ask.
What about beach towels? do we get to take off of ship and use theirs or do we bring ours along?

Hi Sandy! Let's see. The beaches are loaded with beach chairs and a few hammocks, all of which are free. You have probably heard that the limited number of cabanas are pricey, but apparently sold out. We enjoy renting bicycles ($6 per cycle per hour) and riding around the island. There are only a couple of paths (which can also be walked), so an hour should do it. They also have float cushions ($6 each) which are like those air mattress floats, but made of a flexible closed cell foam. They also rent snorkling gear which is fun for underwater photos. Lunch and soft drinks are included. There are shops for pins, beach gear, etc. Plus the larger excursions which generally should be booked in advance.

So to answer your question, none of that will take cash. They only take the Key to the World Card (KTTW). If you want to mail anything from the local Bahamas post office (which has limited hours), they only take cash (US dollars, I'm pretty sure). That would be the only thing you need cash for.

Well, we didn't get to go for ice cream. :confused3 I don't know what is going on with Lilly. She was potty-trained this summer and now she is having a "setback" or something. She is supposed to be potty trained for preschool, so I don't know what I am going to do. The school allows pull-ups for the first month...so wish us luck.

Emilee always had potty accidents the first couple weeks of school and the first couple weeks of Summer camps. I think it's the change of the normal routine. I'm sure Lilly will be fine...she just needs to get used to her new Pre-school. :thumbsup2 How did it go otherwise? Did she like it?

I know this has been answered..but I wanted to add (and remind everyone) GO TO THE POST OFFICE EARLY....they tend to run out of stamps. And take some extra $$$ to buy stamps to save for yourself...they make cute souvenirs. :thumbsup2

Ok...I have to come clean. I don't really know "Steamboat Willy Nilly" aka "Julio". I have never met him. I don't know his real name or where he lives.

(Can you tell I am thoroughly embarrassed by the picture he just posted?)

:sad2:

There are somethings that are just WRONG!

This is one of them ... I will help Karen wield that sword! :scared1:
