Thanks, I need to give Milford my info :goodvibes

Hey guys....did we ever decide on the location of our 3:00 DISmeet on the ship?

Based on a report (from Milford?) I am currently listing it as: DisBoard Meet & Greet (onboard, Embarkation Day, 3 pm in 687 at The District, Deck 4 Aft, NOT District Lounge )

There was talk about the Outlook lounge, but I'm afraid people will have trouble finding it and I'm not real sure if it will be available for sure.

Okay I found my source. It is what Milford has posted on the first page. But when he wrote it he was assuming a 4 pm Muster Drill. Since we now believe the Drill is at 3:45, should we advance the Meet? We would need to do our whole meet in a half hour and allow folks 15 minutes to get back to their cabins.

I've never been to one, so I'm not sure if that's enough time? Alternatively, we could ask people to show up early for some social time, then hold the "meeting/information" part shortly after 3pm for anyone who didn't hear about the change.

What do we need to cover? Hand out the Mini-Navigators, remind people of our DISonly events, remind people who want to join us on Deck 12 for the Sail Away Party, and maybe some thank you's? It sounds like we can do that in a half hour. If we also want to socialize and/or take photos, that could take a while.

Should we say Cocktail Hour 2:30pm and Meet & Greet 3:00pm Sharp?

PS Here is what Milford posted, "These are the three venues that according to DCL do not have anything planned during boarding: District Lounge or Skyline Lounge or 687 Lounge These all appear to be about as large as the Promenade Lounge was on the Wonder."

I just picked 687 Lounge, because it sounds most interesting to me. Does anyone know if any of the venues has a raised stage that we can stand on to make announcements? And have we ever tried to reserve a lounge in the past?

I agree with all except for the time, I'd say 2:00 because of all the goings on and how crowded it might be, parking the car and checking in. Plus, there's a lot of newbies like me here! I've read that some might not be onboard until 12:00-1:00.

I just found this, a Dream Navigator, 4 nights July 15
Clicky
It says the mandatory drill is at 4:00 pm.
HTH,
Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer, I glanced at it but I'm too tired to really dig into it tonight. Were you suggesting the earlier 2 pm time because of several things scheduled around the 3:00 hour on the bar (Gant) chart (the 2nd scan of the Navigator)?

Keep in mind that the Port Shopping events, won't apply to us on this cruise, but DVC may put something in those slots. I can think of a few reasons not to go too early. For those with kids, I think you need to do a sign-up during their open hours, and like you say some folks might not arrive until 1pm. This would give them a chance to grab a bite to eat and drop off their carry-ons before we meet.

I'm open to discussion, though. What does everyone think?

Good morning Happy Dispeeps! :wave::wave::wave:

:coffee::coffee::coffee: for all of you who are awake and semi functional! (like me! :thumbsup2)

:banana::banana: I'm counting the minutes (12049 minutes to be exact)

Well...gosh....why don't you count down the seconds? :rotfl2:

To answer Deb - - if Wally and Terrie had 12049 minutes when he posted that last night, they had 722,940 seconds ... but REALLY, who's counting? I mean there is nothing to get all :hyper2: about is there? (DAN! We NEED that sarcasm font! Pronto tito! :rotfl2::rotfl2:)

Yea, I know. Now if you had also mentioned the PM just before the game, it would haver really looked suspicious ... SQUIRREL! (a quote from UP, in case others reading this haven't seen it)

yeah, that's why i posted after the dust had settled

...and mr. potter always uses that trick (don't think it's ever worked though)

"Hey Rocky! Watch me pull a Rabbit from my hat."

"Oh no! That trick NEVER works!"
(From Rocky and Bullwinkle :thumbsup2)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

And it hasn't worked yet! :confused3 (But I do keep trying!)

Found my Pirate Costume!!

A meeting would be great! Another WW leader posted earlier this summer with educated guesstimates of some point values of DCL meals. I will round it up in case you have not seen that thread. DH and I joined WW last February and he is now at 53 lbs lost and I am down 42 lbs. We came back from our Alaska cruise last month down a bit, so we know we can do well during the cruise. We will be finding the fitness center and the dreaded scale once on board, lol.

Wally! Thank God! Now I can eat myself to oblivion, LOL!.
I will be seeing you in the fitness center too. I have to try hard to compensate for food and alcohol.

Thanks everybody for the responses. We are planning on bringing our snorkel gear along for the island. As I introduced myself way back in the 5th thread I believe and It is hard to keep up with you all. This is a busy thread for sure.
Anyway I am coming with my hubby Rich and another couple that was so kind to bring us along on this special Dvc cruise. After the cruise we are heading up To our home base resort Bay tower lake. This will be our first time visiting Disney now being a Dvc member. Finally made sense after visiting Disney at least 15 times since 1974 to finally buy into Dvc. This is our first Disney Cruise and what I have read from all of you it will be everything I ever expected. As a Disney lover as all of you, I expect to have a magical first cruise. WE are all on Deck 7 of the Disney Dream. Hope to meet up and say hello. Thanks for letting me join in your wonderful group here.

Welcome back! There are a few of us staying at BLT. See you at TOTWL for fireworks!

Hey Wally! Yes, the kids/mom are all VERY excited about the cruise!!!! Especially Emilee...she keeps counting down the days and telling EVERYONE she sees that we go on a cruise on September 15th! It's too cute!!!

How about you & Terrie? Are you guys super excited, too?

Can't wait can't wait!!!!

Hey guys....did we ever decide on the location of our 3:00 DISmeet on the ship?

I think it was supposed to be at The District :confused3

Hey Wally, do you know if Terrie has had any luck setting up the photo shoot?

You know where this is going ... Time and Location?

I have been e-mailing and leaving phone messages since August for Shutters/Image US and have not received a response. Finally, I decided to call DCL directly and was given another e-mail address to send the request and a fax number to. Did that and am now waiting to hear back.

Good to see you again Sandy! I would like to bring our snorkle gear too, but think we won't have enough room for it.

It's gonna be funny if you have more friends on the ship than your DVC friends do. If I recall, your friends got you on the cruise, because you didn't become DVC members until later, right?
You are right. They invited us on the day you could book this cruise. Just being so excited about going on a Disney cruise. In Dec.2010 when we returned to Disney we signed up for the DVC.

Will everyone be on the ship by 2pm?

GOOD MORNING MR MICKEY:thumbsup2IM NOT SURE IF ALL OF US WHO USE THE DISNEY BUSES FROM THE RESORTS WILL BE ONBOARD BY 2pm. IM HOPING. WE HAVE USED THAT TRANSPORTATION A COUPLE TIMES. IF WE ARE PICKED UP BY NOON WE DONT GET THERE UNTIL AFTER 1pm. IM HOPING TO GET EARLIER< NEED TO GET MY KONK K:thumbsup2OOLER
