when does world series end, laura and i are driving to corning on sunday for our anniversary and usually if that is going on the hotels are booked solid for up to 50 miles away or so>

I think it ends this weekend Ian. Not positive though.

Hope you and your lovely have a great time. Watkins Glen is not very far from Corning and is a beautiful little town on the shores of Lake Senneca. There is an AWESOMESAUCE racing museum and library there, as well as some nice local restaurants and places that just MAY (and don't quote me on this ) serve some adult malted beverages as well as some fermented and aged grape drinks that come in a variety of colors and flavors.

we have been to that area a few times> we enjoy driving around. We go up into the keuka lake area to try wines. We also enjoy the glass blowing. We were on a celebrity cruise on the solstice and they have corning glass blowing on top of the ship. We are only 3 hours away from that area.

It IS a beautiful area. When we visited it, I was so impressed by the little towns and the countryside.
