I know exactly what you mean, not only are they corny but I have become so use to better picture quality and special effects.

Tried to get my daughter to watch an episode of Little House on the Prairie and it was like pulling teeth!

My kids (when I have them ) will grow up watching dvd's of The Muppet show, any and all my fav 80's movies. When they are older they will have to suffer through Steel Magnolias, Say anything, Working Girl, God I hope I have a girl! And the music, that's a whole other story. Eric used to be a DJ, so our home and cars are nothing but music. It's every where. There is a cd player in every room. My alarm clock is even a cd player. It's crazy! By the way this is how Eric dances --> I am a mean wife today!

Joanne is it hard to let go of the kids? To see them go off on their own?

With 3 Universitys and several colleges in our city, I have assumed that my kids will be at home post high school. Actually I was hoping till they get married

I am watching HSN (HSN and the DIS ~ I really don't want to clean the bathroom!) and they have huggable hangers... you all DO know what huggable hangers are, right? I am addicted to the stupid things, but they REALLY are the best! They have DIS GREEN huggable Hangers now. That's too much! I bought the nice low key mauve set years ago and Mekayla has the powder blue set (blue's her favorite color) and now they have Bright yellow, and Hot Pink and Lime Green! Neon Lime Green! Geee... I might have to get a set for the cruise. It'll be the lime green set that'll live in the Joy Mangano Closet-all. (Ya'll know what that is, right?)

So, who else has spent as much $$$ on cruise stuff as the cruise itself? I think I have.

Im thinking of bringing a duffle bag empty, and then buying the kids back 2 school clothes and shoes in Florida.

I have to keep reminding myself that the 3 days in Orlando pre cruise is for the kids to experience WDW and not for me to shop!

Jeff ~ I have no heartburn about taking DD out of school for family vacation. I am a single parent, and the only affordable time to vacation is the "off" season. In 2004 we went for a week at the parks and a week long cruise and DD's teacher sent her off with homework assignments (which we did ~ yes I helped ~ on the plane ride home on the last day) Since we're only going to be gone for 12 days this time, I am not even going to bring up the topic of make up work. We're leaving the second week of school...she's in 4th grade... we'll be allright... she'll catch up.

Three posts in a 30 minute period... I'm just here to help Princess Amanda reach her goal!

Huggable hangers are amazing. they're hangers that are coated in Velvet (it doesn't shed, though) and your clothes don't fall off...they really don't and they're thin (but strong) and they help make space in your closet. I like to take them in my hanging bag cause you really can get a ton of stuff in the garment bag with them. Makes the cabin closet seem Gi~Nor~Mus! They earned the Good Housekeeping seal (whatever that is) they are worth the $$$.

Gotta' go make a pot of coffee and get motivated. It's 0940 and I haven't gotten out of bed yet!

Hey guys, it is 1:15. If this was Sept 16, I would be stretchout out at the Mickey Pool watching DD enjoy swimming before the pool gets crowded. What would all of you be doing?

Oh, by the way, I have set me a goal in the posting war. This should be post 569. My goal is to hit 650 posts by Sept. 15th which is when I leave for the cruise. I know, my little 650 doesn't sound like much compared to you guys, but this is my first cruise and my first time being on these boards.

DD wants me to ask those of you who are in the know if it would be possible for me to order one an extra desert at Palo to bring back to the room to her. She is so bummed that she doesn't get to go. I still haven't told her that I may be getting brunch also. She still has recouperated from finding out that she can't go to the salon for hair and nails. I tried to make up for that by schedule her for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at DTD during our Christmas trip, but she said that she thinks she is too big for that. I'm going to hold off on canceling the appointment just in case she changes her mind.

Yeah! I have company. I was beginning to think that everyone had abandoned me.

I'm sure that by Dec. DD will want to go to BBB also. She is just bumbed out about not getting her hair done on the ship. It's my fault. Before I started with this board, I didn't know that it was adult only and I told her that we would go together and have hair, makeup and nails before having our formal pictures taken. Then I had to tell her that she couldn't go. Still, there are so many things that she looking forward to that it's really only an issue when she wants to make me feel guilty.

Do you know the final word on the Palo Brunch?

This is what we are doing. That is if we don't get so carried away with all the activities that we end up throwing ourselves together at the last minute and running out the door.

By the way, there is no age limit on BBB. There is a thread and some of the women 30+ have already been and posted pictures.

I am bringing the laptop to document for my trip thread, I don't know if I will do a live thread. I just love reading them, too but I don't want to spend too much time tied to the cyber cafe.
