Amanda, my DD is seven. She will be eight on Nov. 15th.

Ok cool...well I didnt start playing basketball until I was in the 9th grade. By that time, all the other girls had been playing since they were your DD's age..so obviously they were all MUCH better than me. She will be a superstar by the time she gets to JV if she is still playing ball then!

Hello all! I have what I feel will be the first of many fall/winter colds. How is it possible that my head feels like an over inflated balloon? Anyway I wanted to touch base to let you all know that I haven't forgotten our thread. Trust me all I want right now is to be on CC sipping a pina colda, chatting non-stop with Amanda and watching our DH's swim and catch starfish! Thank goddness friday is so close. All I have to do is make it through work tomorrow and then I have a 3 day weekend to rest! Oh thank you Mr. Columbus!

I, Unfortunantly do not have Monday off - It is a teacher workday - which is ok - but not as good as a day off! Although I guess I can't complain since we had our early snow days when it was like 85 degrees here in GA huh? (I know you all feel so sorry for me LOL)
Oh well - whats one to do?

Hey Cruise Buddies - it sure is great to see all of these new posts and new people joining our group!!

Darcy - congrats on the new kitty. I like kittens but I am afraid Amanada and I feel the same about cats. I am definitely not a cat person but I do think kitties are very adorable

Amanda - yes my dh is still willing to do a photo page for us. Darcy sent us her picture but he hasn't done the page only because one picture (okay 2 with ours) seemed kind of lonely - lol! So, if we can get a few others then we'll put it up so we can all see it. You can email them to rhonda.hare@verizon.net

Your picture of Nassau was gorgeous! I always try but dh is really the only good photographer in our family. I do pretty good with my ebay pictures but anything that moves or smiles is apparently beyond my capabilities.

Karen - you out there anywhere????? We're headed out to CA in only a couple of weeks and I am so hoping we can meet up. I still have your phone number so I'll try to get in touch with you before we leave, okay?

Amanda01 - hope you are feeling much better soon!!

Busy around here as I am sure it is for everyone. DD5 is having a major problem with her right eye. Had to visit the pediatric ophthalmolagist on Monday and scheduled to return tomorrow. Hopefully she'll be on her way to good health again soon. We are closing in on our trip to CA - we leave in only 2 weeks - can't wait!!!

Gotta get to bed - have an early morning tomorrow. I'll try to stop in again tomorrow and see how everyone is doing!

Yeah you sounds real sad about those 2 days off last week! LOL My kids felt real bad about it too! (NOT!!) LOL I did feel bad for parents who had to find last minute child care! Luckily I have an anwesome sitter! Are we going to have to mkae those days up, do you know?

See what a little shameless beggin will get ya? People who feel guilty and post! Woohoo! LOL I am so glad that I was not the only person brave enough to admit how I feel about cats! But shhhhh because my cruisin buddy loves hers, all 23 gajillion of em,,,,huh AManda??!!? I just sent you an email with a picture of Steve and I. Now we have 3 pictures, and I think that is enough pictures to officially start a page I have a picture of Amanda01 and her DH too if she doesnt send you one soon...hmmmm let me see what kinda blackmail I can do!

NO 3 day weekend for us either....my kids have to go to sat school and school on MOnday because they started school late due to a renovation at their school...so they have 10 days to make up before the 2 that were called "snow days" last week...

Whoo hoo 8th is exciting LOL. As for the snow days - you do not have to make them up unless we miss 5 days for snow - then the kids have to make up all 5 at that point - so pray for a very calm winter- Us teachers have to make them all up regardless - so we really dislike snow days in that respect.
