Hey gang!
I need your help! My husband is convinced that there is nothing for him to do on this cruise. unfortunately our only experience cruising was the Hurricane Jeanne cruise of 2004. He seems to think that there is nothing for adults and is pressuring me to change to a RC cruise! Of course I suggested my mom take his place..he didn't go for that!
Anyone else have this problem with their spouse or significant other?

My traveling party is large and we will have a girl your daughter's age with us. I teach 4th grade in a school system that is on a modified calendar and we are out of school for that week - so there may be more kids than you think from schools on the modified schedule!

It's great to see everyone posting again. 
I have spent the last few weeks checking out some of the other forums. I am planning a trip to Disneyland for March also 
and I have been getting some great tips about what to do there to.
Does anyone know the exact days that the Magic will be in dry dock at Norfolk, Virginia. My daughter will not be having school on the 14th of October due to a state wide teachers' professional day. If the Magic will still be in Norfolk, I would like to my daughter to see it. This will be our first cruise and she has never seen a large cruise ship. She has no concept of the size of the ship. I would like for her to see it.

Okay everyone, here is what I have so far, please check to see if you are on the list-this is a modified list-I am not posting cabin numbers or complete names for privacy. the complete list will be emailed closer to cruise. Dinny....Is he nuts? Doesn't he know that you can't just change a cruise you have been counting on and planning for, for almost a year now??!!?!?!?!? Crazy man!!!!!!!!!!! On my cruise last week, remember it was only DH and I, and we had a lot of fun without the kids. We did the wine tasting, Palo brunch and dinner...adult only pool (lovely), hot tubs, bingo, serenity bay...etc etc etc adn dont forget that when we cruise enxt year the Magic will have the Jumbotron up by the goofy pool! Have yall done the rasul? the rainforest??!!??! oh my..nothing for him to do?? he is nuts. My DH is content to lay in the room and watch CNN all day. He is just happy to be on vacation away from work...dont you let him talk you out of this!

I actually told my DH that if he really wanted to go on the RC Freedom of the seas (new ship-isn't even out until June 06) that I would change. (Of course I was BLUFFING ) he said no, we would stay on DCL. He just isn't a "go out and get em kinda guy"-he is a great guy and once you get him going he is alot of fun, but there is a definite shy factor. Anyone have any plans on arriving night before-if so where ae you staying? would be great to do a pre-cruise meet night before. Oh well offto bed I go-take care!

Hello everyone...it has been awhile since I last posted. Gosh I so need a vacation and 9/16 seems so darn far away. Has our group started talking about doing shirts or something? Soooo how is everyone doing? Me...I am insane, we have a 100pound german sheppard and is getting sick so we decided to get a german sheppard puppy. This puppy must be on drugs because she is so darn hyper and already weighs 50pounds

Just checking in. We booked the 9/16/06 Double Scoop to Costa Maya Cruise last night ... should have booked it onboard. We just got back from the 9/17/05 Eastern changed to Western (kinda) due to hurricane Rita Cruise.

Hello Everyone! We (DH and I) are looking forward to the 9/16/06 Double Scoop. It'll be official once I book it on 10/17 with DVC. We just got off the 9/3/05 Magic. Last year we were on one of the Hurricane Jeanne cruises -- 9/18/04.
4Gus-Gus&Figaro -- We're from the metro area of Detroit, too (born and raised in Dearborn). We raised our kids in the downriver area, and then got transferred to the Lansing area.

Ragdoll -- Looking forward to cruising with you and Harry again. We met Ragdoll and DH on the 9/18/04 Magic.
Guess I'm not eligible for the 30 something meet! Dave and I are well into our 50s, although we are kids at heart. Our kids are in their 30s. We have 5 precious grandchildren, all under the age of 3.5 years. One little girl in our lives is like a granddaughter to us -- Alyssa. She is my little Angel -- 8 years old with Down Syndrome. We've taken her on two Wonder cruises.
FYI: The parents on our recent Magic cruise held a treasure hunt for the kids. It was a great success. Our first DIS meet was in the Promenade Lounge on Saturday at 3pm.

Look at our cruise family growing! Hi everyone! I know it's still kinda far away, however just seeing my coundown below 2 years makes me a happy woman. And to see it below 1 year, well lets just say I could do a backflip I'm so excited!
