Gail,
They dont have to mial it out, it just made it easier on PAM aka YOU to not have to lug a huge box of Tees and bags to the port...remember we also did special bags. Find out from GI when the cut off dates hould be. How long will it take them to make the tees etc etc ..I think ours was the end of March/beg of april....so soon I think not sure...and no excuse on the pics! hahah snap a self portrait and upload it girl! lol

Speaking of brunch. those who have said yes, I think Joanne was the only one who actually had a scheduled brunch on the first sea day? I need to know if anyone else does, because I cant use you as our 12 person min count..they check the ressies..which is why I needed your res number

ok now I really have to go I promised DH since $900 of ours has vanished that, that money would have bought him a maid for a a few months at least, so guess what I must do....5 letter word cover your little ones eyes...CLEAN

I have bi***ed enough about not getting Brunch, so you know I didn't. If I get it on the 75 day mark will that mess us up? I don't want to mess us up.

I told Eric's Amanda that I have a bumper sticker that says "will work for disney cruise"...I am gonna' have to go snap a photo of it to show you guys...

the Photobucket Saga continues.....

I have not paid in full yet so no brunch right now....but they specifically told you this? We shouldn't have to pick since we might want to do one with family too...

No, I did not make myself clear. Sorry. I am trying to get brunch on the 1st sea day which is Monday. If any of you have brunch for that same day, obviously I cant use you as my min of 12, because they will see you already have brunch scheduled on that day, and can not be in 2 places at once.

Ahhhhhh. Now I get it

Julie I have just seen your family for the first time and how beautiful you all are!

Thanks- the kids make up for the grown ups.

Chemistry is still really annoying. Googling things just makes me more confused-- Too much information in my hands is a dangerous thing.

Julie

We don't have brunch any day, so we're fine for either.

A question- has anyone ever eaten at Palo the first night? How is it? We're planning to eat there on Parrot Cay rotation and for our first 2 cruises we've been PLA, so I'm figuring since we're going with more or less the same crowd, we'll get it again.

I'm so ready for this vacation. Maybe I'll try that photobucket thingy too. We have some nice pictures from previous cruises and China.

Julie

Hey Everyone.

Glad to see all of you chatting away so much! I will try to get on here a bit more since we are getting relatively close at this point!

DH posted the 2 new pictures we received (Thank you Julie & Thea!) and I had him delete tstobb since they have changed plans. I know we should have a picture up of us too but we really don't have anything recent with all of us in it - with the kids changing so quickly it really shows when the picture is out-of-date, you know? I'll try to come up with something though :)

Gail - thank you so much for looking into the shirts for us. I know we would like to have 4 for our family and hopefully we'll have enough to make it worthwhile ordering. Don't forget that you could always mail the box of shirts to the port ahead of time so that you don't have to use up valuable luggage allowance for it!

I did some preliminary checking on lanyards. There are lots of them available and they aren't too expensive ($2.xx each) but almost all of the places have a minimum of 100 and I doubt we'll have that kind of demand. I'll keep looking though in case I can find somewhere that has a lower requirement while still having reasonable pricing. Does anyone have an opinion on lanyards? Any particular style/wording/material preference or any info on a good place to order from? Just let me know and I'll see what I can do!

Amanda princess: - we do have a brunch scheduled on Monday but it is under dh's room (I am in the other room so I don't think my name is "officially" associated with the brunch reservation but correct me if this sounds wrong) so you shouldn't have a problem if you are just trying to book me. We would, of course, cancel on Monday if the group booking comes through.

Gotta get the kids to bed - I'll try to check in later and see how things are going around here!

Had to come back and say
YOO HOO TOP OF THE PAGE!!

Hi all!! :wave2:

Okay it has been awhile (again!) but now I am in full Disney Cruise mode (and driving most everyone around me crazy). :p

We paid off the final amount and I have made the following reservations:

Sunday / Castaway Cay: Walking & Kayak Nature Adventure (9:15am) and Parasailing (2:30pm-3:30pm)

Is anyone joining me on the above adventures?!?

What do I need to do to get in on the brunch thing? I LOVE Palo Brunch!! Is this one just for the ladies or are we allowing DHs?

Okay, I need to go back and read about 40 pages ... WOW have you all been busy!! :surfweb:

Rhonda - no excuses! we want to see pics :)

Karen - you are finally back! we had a few more DISers join us while you were MIA.

Stop rubbing in all your ressies! I really only want Palo dinner so it shouldn't be that big of a deal to get it, right?

As far as beach excursions go, I've noticed that they don't tell you which beach they go to. Does anyone know if we (2 boys, ages 3 and 6) are better off just going to Mahajual on our own, or taking an excursion that includes a beach trip? I'm a bit confused on this topic. Our last trip, we took the tour to the Chacchoben ruins, and it was amazing. We are not the "lay on the beach" kind of family. My boys are very active and will enjoy a lot of activity. Any thoughts?

CandyCole ...

We are taking a short morning excursion ('cuz we want to go out the fun snorkeling reef), then having lunch in town ('cuz we LOVE "real" Mexican food), then taking a private car (who ever looks fun and trustworthy) up to the beaches that are just far enough out of the "tourist trap" to suit us. We have info on renting kayaks and jet skis once we are there.

We are (for the first time ever in my whole life) leaving the kids (now teens) with Grandma/pa as we are celebrating 15yrs :cheer2: so we will be "childless". But you are all welcome to join us in the afternoon if you like. Or we can share our info and you can find your own (fun and trustworthy) guide to the beach.

Karen :wizard:

I wanted to do the ruins (with my DS1 and DD4) but I (AMANDA) changed my mind and now plan to go with the flow. I want to do some shopping and go to the Mahajual beach on my own to get that massage!

Good Afternoon, all! I just moved DD from one sitter to another and now I am back at work for what should be my last long night for a while, and decided to do what is most important before getting started working. Everyone knows that catching up on the boards comes before work.

Rhonda, mailing the shirts is a good idea. I am already planning to mail a large box of personal items for myself. I am traveling alone with DD8, and know that it will be hard to manage a lot of luggage. Anything that will be used up or that can just be disposed of at the end of the week is being mailed to lighten my load.

As of now, there have only been six families to express an interest in the shirts. This is my first cruise, so I thought that maybe it is just still too early to be planning these things, but some of the more experienced cruisers say that it is almost too late. I'm starting to worry about our little group. I've been reading some of the threads for some of the other cruises and they have so many more Disers on line.
