We are planning on doing the fish extenders. Need to make/find the perfect one - another obsessive planning project for this cruise!

We are planning on doing fish extenders again! We have ours from the last cruise, but need to get great grandma, and grandpa one!

I didnt even know there was a CC member party...Thanks for the update, I will watch for it, and maybe we will go!

No fish extenders for us. DH is one of those people that is convinced it would get stolen. This is the same man who won't leave the garage door open unless he is outside. He just knows someone is going to walk into our garage and steal things. We live in a nice area too. He is just paranoid I guess. For anyone thinking he is a kook, don't worry he isn't.

I thought I read somewhere that you could attached them to the fish with a twisty tie so they were a lot harder to steal.

I guess I look at it as "Isn't it better to love and loose than to have never loved at all" We are making our so it will not cost too much. I am will buy the fabric when it is on sale.

I think the fish extenders are cute. Can you buy them anywhere? (Is there maybe a DisMember who makes them as a side job?) I would love one but I am not crafty at all and would have no idea (or desire) to make one....

Since we're going down 2 days early (staying at Dolphin), we're now considering driving down versus flying. We're figuring at least $600 for airfare (if we get a good deal), and by the time we rent a car or pay for transfers, we've got another $350-400 into it. We have days lefts on park hoppers from previous trips, so that won't cost us anything. Driving will cost us 2 extra days, but at this point looks like the most economical route. I keep telling myself "it's worth it for all the stuff we'll want to get on the cruise". Anyone else driving?

Sorry for being MIA for so long everyone. With the wedding plans and everything else going on we have been rediculously busy. Our wedding is 41 days away so i have been informed by megan. Cant wait to be married to the woman of my dreams. Planted a bunch of flowers this weekend as part of my yearly ritual. Last year i had some nice ones growing but they were annuals so i had to plant more this year. Seeing as that we will have jeoy, her 5 year old son with use we may participate in the MNSSHP. Other than that not much to report on our end. We will probably pay ours off soon and then start worrying about what excursions and palo day we want to choose. See everyone soon.

I have read that there is someone on ebay that sells them but I could not find them. I know that between my mom, sister and I, we can pull it off.

I can't even imagine driving from Chicago. I have been watching air and the best I have seen is $187.00 but I am sure it will come down.

Heck... I still have 2 other sewing projects for myself... Now I have to add a fish extender???
We have a front patio almost finished... next the decking and plants and rocks. Thank goodness... it's one project at a time


No driving for me! It would take 3 days one way. Put me on a plane and get me there Fast! I want my vacation asap

Heather- I have driven down from MI a number of times.....but we plan to fly for this one. Dont want to do the drive with a 2yr old and a 9mth old....

Well if there is a hurricane, we will end up with one of those SURPRISE itineraries....on the bright side....
WE ARE GOING ON A DISNEY CRUISE!!!!

I know Lisa made the great page with our cruisers list...but do we have anywhere set up with meets or anything else we might be planning or trying to plan?/ and other details like who is participating in secret Mickeys or fish extenders??
Just curious!!!

Kamy - I updated the webpage to add that you are celebrating Ryan & your birthdays....

As per hurricanes, as long as we can get onto the ship ontime...no worries!!! Last time I cruised was in Sept '05 and that was HUGE Hurricane season. We were actually on the 4 day Wonder and at Sea with Hurricane Rita. The only changes we had was that we spent that we didn't get into Nassau until just after noon. Since we had no excursions planned, this was no big deal for us. And they did switch our sea day/CC day. Many passangers (and crew members) had a hard time with sea sickness on night though since we were in VERY rough seas with 20+ foot waves. I took my dramamine the first instant I started feeling a bit queesy (since I can be prone to seasickness) and I was fine. I was just glad that we were on Deck 2 and not higher up on the ship since I have heard you feel it more the higher you are...

Thanks Lisa! Are your kids not coming on the cruise?? I just noticed you have a DS same age as mine! I wont fault you for adult time though! LOL! That is why we have grandparents coming!
