09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

Thanks for the welcome. I agree I love messing with the kids even at their ages. We got the kids their own cabin so that we can have some time to ourselves. We will be celebrating our 26th anniversary on the cruise. We have told them that they will be in the bottom of the boat and we may let them come up to deck 8 to visit. DD wanted to know if they had mice in the bottom of the boat and I told her "Duh, Mickey it is a disney cruise."

I hope MIL will have a good time. She has been putting extra time in at rehab in order to build her endurance. She has scheduled spa visits the day we are in St Thomas so that will work out beautifully. DD and DS are mad that they are to old for the Oceaners Lab and the other kids areas. They thought those looked fun.

Hi guys I just found this site and am so excited! :cool1: I will be traveling with DH DS DD DMIL and SIL. DS is 22 and DD is 17. This is their first cruise and I am so excited to share the Magic with them. I have been spending time catching up on the thread. I am loving all of the suggestions and hints. Has anyone traveled with a person with disabilities? My MIL is in a wheel chair part of the time and on a walker the rest. We almost lost her in Jan. We were told that she would not make it out of the hospital but she kept insisting that she was going on this cruise. She has suprised everyone. I told the family that it was the Mickey magic that pulled her through. :)

Welcome to the cruise! We are all excited to have you.

Brady961 traveles in a motorized wheelchair herself. You may want to contact her and ask all the questions you may have. She's listed on the Sept 22nd cruise. Marsha is GREAT!:thumbsup2

Welcome again to our chatty group:hyper2:

I am dying to get our room assignment, we are gaurenteed. I am hoping by the end of this month maybe:confused3

WE did book the Under 2 Flags tour for St. Maarten though. I can't decide if I want to book any other excursions. I think I need to get in touch with my DCL contact to get his advice. LOL

We are doing the under 2 flags tour on St. Maarten also! You guys have been busy, we got back late Friday night, and this is my 1st chance to catch up!

Thanks!!! :happytv: Actually my daughter was sick with 102 temp for 3 days and was sick in total for about a week then my son got it (but thankfully not as bad). That has been fun. Then I just became president of my local Moms Club and the books were a total mess from last year so I had to straighten that out. I also "won" a photobook from Shutterfly but I had to get it ordered by 7-15 so that has kept me really busy putting it together...I ordered it today. I have been lurking here but I know I have neglected the website so I want to make that a priority to work on for this week.

Glad that your daughter is feeling better....You mentioned if we were going to have fish extenders, and we will! I'm not sure if I told you before!

Hello all. Just popping in to say I might be AWOL for a bit. My great-grandmother passed away on Friday. I was at her side, holding her hand and talking to her, which was rather rough but very peaceful for her. My family is having a rather rough time dealing with things, so if you could send some good wishes their way to get through the funeral on Wednesday, it would be much appreciated. Hope to get back on soon.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother...my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

Good Morning.

My sister and I have some good visions for the "Mickey's Magical Gang" door sign. We are thinking something along the lines of Mickey's Magical Gang…Sailing To New Heights. We are trying to create clouds that are shaped like Mickey heads with the sail boat in the clouds. My sister is an artist, sorry I forgot to mention that yesterday, so I know this is going to be good.

Also, I am thinking about hosting a door decorating contest. What do you guys think? Anyone who wanted to enter would pm me their stateroom number before the cruise (or if you don't have one let me know you want to enter and then give it to me the first day). I would create a sheet with everyone who entered on it. Anyone who's stateroom number is on the website would then get an entry form. Vote for your top 3 and the most votes gets a prize from me. I think it could be fun.

Heather, thats a great idea...I'd love to get in on it!!!

57 days till we leave!!!

Anyone else already thinking about your NEXT cruise???
I am such a planner....already have our next two WDW trips booked...gotta do that with DVC....but I am already working on the next cruise...well, we gotta rebook onboard....so that is part of the planning for this trip! LOL!:thumbsup2

Has anyone started packing yet??:lmao:

I was just asking DBF when are going to go on the next cruise...:rotfl2: He told me that we have go on this one 1st.

Not packed yet...still have to unpack from this trip...:lmao:

No physical packing for me yet. Just putting together my list.

Is anyone going to be shipping stuff down to the port? I would really like to ship some bottled water since DBF and I drink like fish. :fish:

I'm also thinking of writing a trip report. Anyone else?

We are renting a car, and going to pick up a few cases of water...I dont see a problem with getting another one for you.

:) Hi Everyone,

New to this board. DD and I just booked this cruise today. We are so excited. I have so many questions if you guys are willing to answer I would appreciate it.

This is our first Disney cruise. Gosh I hope the weather cooperates and there is plenty of sun. :)

I didn't read through all 102 pages of posts. You guys have been chatting a long time. I hope you don't mind a newbie.

Cindy and DD Cassandra

Welcome...Glad to have you cruising with us!!! Are you early or late dining?

Yes. The sunscreen that I bought yesterday is a spray on. It came in SPF 30 and 45. My friend told me that the dermatologist recommended it for her and her family. She specifically asked about a spray one because they are on the go all of the time and do not want to take time to spread lotion. This is the one the doctor recommended. I bought it yesterday at Target. I can't remember the exact price, but it was around $8.

I really like the smell of it. Plus, I sprayed a little on yesterday. It is light, not greasy, and it doesn't go on white.

My dermatologist also recommended the same thing...said it helps to keep the pores clean, while still blocking the rays.

You can bring anything? They don't confiscate alcohol? We didn't take any but on our first RCI cruise several people got caught trying to sneak liquor on board. They got in back when we got back to Galveston.

How do you bring on the case of water? Put a luggage tag on it, put it in your suitcase?

So many things to learn! :woohoo:

We brought 2 bottles of liquor on board with us in October, and had no problems, plan on doing it again.

Welcome!

I went to Disney World with grandma, and dad, both in scooters, and the trip was great...they are going with us on this cruise, we have a handicap room for them, and all should be fine!

Well now that I am all caught up, and have posted way too many times in a row!!!:rotfl2: Sorry! We had a wonderful and relaxing trip at SSR...We were supposed to leave on Wednesday and fly to Oklahoma City, but we extended and stayed 2 more days at SSR, and then went to OKC. We seen some work done on the wand at Epcot...They have the name completely down, and are starting on the rest...Every night they did work, so we were anxious to see what they accomplished. We did the parks a little everyday, and swam a whole lot!!!

Was just catching up and saw your puppy Kam, he's so cute. Our dog looked very similar when she was little and got a lot more spots the older she got. She's actually a boxer mix. They could be related, I'll have to post a picture. Been a loyal Ding watcher and talk about NOTHING! I have a bad feeling we're going to be driving down, yuck!
Hope everyone is well
Tara
