Kam - Cute puppy! You totally need to do Patch...he even looks like him! Well, he has less spots...but my immediate reaction was that he looked like Patch. Soooo cute! Miss you guys tons!

He is so cute. I like patch too and bullseye.

We love the Copperton aerosal sun tan lotion but not the sports one. It is so easy to put on. I use a stick on my 4 year olds face but the spray on on her body. It takes 20 seconds. I use it on my face just close my eyes tight and my mouth. I keep them closed for a couple of seconds after the spray. It is also great for the part on my hair. It can be a little expenses but Walmart and Target have a good price. Also, if you have a Bed, Bath and Beyond you can use a 20% off coupon and that is the cheapest. It does have a different feel but I kind of like it now, it was weird the first time. It also does not go on wet skin really well so you have to dry off for reapplies.

Kamy - That puppy is just toooooo cute!!! :goodvibes I can't let dd see him or I would never hear the end of it - I'm sure she would rally for a puppy.
Actually, Patch is the name of the puppy in 101 Dalmations (part II) that goes to London. I've only seen it 20 times last week. :rotfl: I think it fits wonderfully!

Regarding sunscreen: I like to use a lotion, then spray over it later when we need a touch-up or to reapply after getting wet. We use Coppertone Sport Ultra-sweatproof - spf 50. I know you are looking for a spray, but unfortunately I don't know of one I really love there.

Dh uses the Ocean Potion 35spf and likes it. The Aveeno is good but expensive.

Okay, here are two pics of our little guy! We want a disney name since our other dogs are Koda and Tinkerbell. Here are the ones we came up with so far.
Scamp, Chip, Dash, Buzz, Woody, Bullseye, Magic, Bud, Patch, Cricket, Simba
(But we can't decide what fits him)

thanks for your help!!!

I am probably not going to be any help on the dog name. DH and I are those crazy people that only give dogs human names. That being said I like Patch but with the pirate craze how about Captain Jack???? He does have the eye patch like a pirate.

Kami... the pup is sooo cute. Personally I like Dash. that's my 2 cents.:rotfl2:

Sunscreener... I use Banana Boat Sport 50.
You still tan thru it, and I havent burned. It says it's "Ultra Sweatproof"
But I sure do sweat thur it!!!:scared1:
And dont put it on your face, if you do sweat.. it STINGS your eyes. Not a good idea for kids faces. Im still in search of a good one too.:goodvibes

Hey all. I just got back from Target.
I bought the Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Mist 45. I called my friend before I left. She said this is the one her dermatologist told her to use because it has helioplex.
Bareacuda, I do use the Banana Boat Sport spray now. However, it just looks and feels greasy on my DDs. I was hoping for one for the cruise that wouldn't be as greasy. This Neutrogena bottle says non-greasy. I hope so. I will continue to use the Banana Boat here at home for the pool, water park, etc. However, for the cruise I will try the Neutrogena. I am just trying to avoid the sand of the beaches sticking to the greasy film.

JNorris, I need to ask you a few DC questions so I am going to send you a PM. Check your PM box if you are reading this.

Cindy--:welcome: Questions are always welcome!:cool2: For my first Disney Cruise, I didn't dress up for Pirate night at all. Just the normal attire. This year I'll just have a black skirt and a Pirate t-shirt that I bought at the PotC ride at WDW.

Kam--That doggie is too cute! :dogdance: My vote is also for Patch or Bullseye.

TLHB70--That sunscreen sounds good. I'll have to pick some up at Target tomorrow. About how much did it cost? TIA!

I know a few pages back I mentioned about decorating dd4's room in a Snow White/forest friends/Bambi/DP theme (I dare you to say that 5 times fast!:lmao: ) Happy to report it is FINALLY finished - had to add some more clouds and forest animals yesterday. I would love to post some pictures, but dh & I have vowed not to buy any more film for our regular camera because we are planning to get a digital one (yes, we live in the dark ages at times). So, I am supposed to be researching digital cameras so we can do that, but instead I keep finding myself on the DIS boards. I thought, Why not kill two birds with one stone? I know I should (and eventually will I suppose) go to the photography threads, but was wondering if anyone here could recommend a digital camera that is easy for the non-photographically inclined (me - not dh) and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.??

Thanks for all the votes! DH says absolutely not to Patch...sorry all you Patch lovers....he says it is a boy dog, and that sounds girlie:confused3
We are adding Squirt to the list too....gotta have a Finding Nemo name in there:cloud9:
My mom votes for Bud (from Air Bud) or Cricket (Jiminy) and my dh is leaning towards Scamp and Squirt.....I am still undecided... I do like a few of the names....
Man, this is harder than naming our sons!:lmao:

We appreciate all your input!!!

Kami...what kind of dog is the new pup? I have a dog that looks very similar. She was a rescue that we adopted as a 6 week old puppy. We believe she is part Dalmation or Pointer. She has big patches and lots of smaller dots.

I vote for the name Dash too. Oh, and our dog is named Melody, after Ariel's daughter! We would have given our other one a Disney name (I love the name Belle!) but she was 6 months old when we got her, and she was already named Sadie.

On the topic of sunscreens...is there a spray on sunscreen that you don't have to rub in? We have a pool and DD has friends over, and I insist that they wear sunscreen, and kids just do not have patience for me to slather them up. I'd like one that you can just spray them, give it a few minutes to dry, and go, no rubbing in.

I'll bet if you got him to watch 101 Dalmations part II it would change his mind - Patch is definately a boy puppy that saves the day - the star of the movie. If that doesn't work I like Scamp next. Good luck!

Thanks for all the opinions....it is actually really helpful!:thumbsup2

They told us at the animal rescue that he is part Australian Cattle dog and part hound dog (what type of hound, who knows?:confused3 )
His paws are really small, so it is hard to believe he will get too large...they told us about 30lbs or so....but he could be tall, who knows?!?! When you rescue a pup, you never really know what you are getting...;)

DH says he might have to watch 101 Dalmations part 2, since most of you are leaning towards Patch!

Any other suggestions are helpful!
Still, no name for the dog! LOL!:rotfl2:

Yes. The sunscreen that I bought yesterday is a spray on. It came in SPF 30 and 45. My friend told me that the dermatologist recommended it for her and her family. She specifically asked about a spray one because they are on the go all of the time and do not want to take time to spread lotion. This is the one the doctor recommended. I bought it yesterday at Target. I can't remember the exact price, but it was around $8.

I really like the smell of it. Plus, I sprayed a little on yesterday. It is light, not greasy, and it doesn't go on white.

The copperton is a spray on with no rubbing unless the kids are already wet. Get the regular not the sport. I felt the sport was a little greasy.

Okay Kam, I have to go with Hixski and change my vote to Captain Jack. It does look like eye patch and Jack is definitely a boy name. Too cute!
