09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

I have never taken more than 2 weeks together for vacation. I couldn't even imagine. BUT I would sure like to try.:rotfl2:

Me either! The most I have ever taken was two weeks exactly for our honeymoon. Before that I had only ever taken one week max. Maybe someday again............... :goodvibes

I have a question for those of you that have done back to back cruises. How does it work when you come back to port? Do you have to get off the ship? Can you leave your stuff in your cabin if you do?

Oh Boy... you guys are going to through rocks at me for this one!:lmao:
Dh and I are retired, and do our art part time. We have been together for the past 21 years almost 24/7! He's my best friend:hug:
We were born with a spirit of adventure.. going, doing and seeing.
No... we are not joined at the hip! We both have our own time away from each other and enjoy our time alone.

So the 3 weeks on the ship is going to be wonderful:banana: :cool1:

Our first back2back we didnt get off the ship when it got back into the port. We just stayed out of our room to do laundry. Played basketball, and chatted awhile with Capt. Tom. We did however have to get new KTTW cards for the 2nd part of the cruise. I recently heard that we had to get off each time we came into port.... I found out that was wrong.:thumbsup2

I think it is great. No stones from me. Many couples can't handle being together for an evening out. I think it is wonderful that after 21 years you are still so great together. My parents had a really hard time when my dad retired and they were together 24/7. They each had to learn how to make time for themselves. My dad decided that part time work was what he needed and my mom decided that becoming a full time grandma was what she needed (she is going to be in a world of hurt when we are on the cruise because I don't think she has ever gone 10 days without seeing Kendyll).

No stones from me either! We are thinking of doing B2B cruises next year instead of a 7 night. Just weighing the pros and cons of each option! Any tips from those b2B experienced cruisers would help!! (yes I am already thinking of our NEXT cruise:thumbsup2 gotta rebook! )

But we've been married for 37 years in August !!!:cool1:

Back 2 backs...pros: you pay for just 1 air flight.
You can stay in the same room.
You can keep you wait staff.. just ask.
You can play basketball without getting knocked down.:lmao:
Start on the next weeks tan at 9:30 am and find a lounge chair :thumbsup2
Have your laundry done before everyone arrives back on.
And you get another sail away gift.
Know that you may be the only passangers on the ship.
Wave at all the new passangers coming aboard.

Best of all......
champainge and strawberries from the Captain.

cons:
see all your new friends leave.:guilty:

I guess that's all on my list. Everyone needs to do a B2B !! It's a blast.

Ann:yay:

B2B Cruising sounds awesome!!!! Maybe someday we will get to do something like that!!!! I am just thrilled to be going on a 7 day cruise AND getting to spend a couple of nights at Disney before we go... We are very blessed that I have such a great father who is willing to watch his grandkids for 10 days so DH & I can have some alone time :cool1:

I have been pretty busy lately and have not done anything with the website but I am going to be working on it this week so if anyone wants me to make any changes, please PM me or E-mail me at LisaC0503-misc@yahoo.com (Kamy - I got your e-mail with the pics so I will be changing that on the website this week)

I am also thinking about Fish Extender gifts for our cruise since I just bought one on E-bay....right now it doesn't look like we have too many of us that are particpating in that. If you plan on having a Fish Extender and are not on the list, let me know. I am sure others want to have idea of how many gifts they should bring also...

Long time no see Lisa... Keeping busy???:laundy:
Thanks!!! :happytv: Actually my daughter was sick with 102 temp for 3 days and was sick in total for about a week then my son got it (but thankfully not as bad). That has been fun. Then I just became president of my local Moms Club and the books were a total mess from last year so I had to straighten that out. I also "won" a photobook from Shutterfly but I had to get it ordered by 7-15 so that has kept me really busy putting it together...I ordered it today. I have been lurking here but I know I have neglected the website so I want to make that a priority to work on for this week.

Now that everyone is getting to know one another you can't lurk. Everyone will wonder where you are. Glad your kids are better. I always worry about getting a stupid summer cold when we go on vacation. I get a cold once a year whether I need one or not. I just don't want it to be on vacation.;)

welcome back Lisa!!!:goodvibes Glad the kids are better....:thumbsup2
I have been sick with a cold for about four days now, dh was so sick yesterday we had to take him to urgent care and he is off work for two days and ds has a terrible runny nose and is cranky! Oh well, lets get it all out before cruise time!;)
No worries about the website, I know you are on the ball!:cutie:

Ann- B2B sounds awesome and we are really considering it for next year. Instead of a 7 night, doing a 4 night and a 3 night...not quite your 3 weeks, but it still sounds good to me....two castaway cay stops and no formal night (which dh is REALLY thrilled about)!

My DH wants to know if he can wear shorts to dinner on Pirate night with his pirate shirt? I wasn't sure, does anyone know? Also, what about the kids, I took a pair of jeans for my DD and cut them off like knee length, so they have fringe now for her to wear with her costume like pirate shirt, but not sure if we can wear this or will have to change after dinner for the Pirate party.
