09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

Well it has been a crazy couple of weeks at work. One of the girls is out with back surgery and another switches departments on Monday. I have my desk, the one who is out with back surgery and 1/2 the other desk. My poor boss will have it all plus her's when I am on the cruise. I think she plans to handle mine but deligate the other stuff. So, with that being said, I have not had time to orginaze the room decorating contest. What I am planning on doing is giving everyone a small prize who decorates and I will give a nicer prize to the room I think did the best job. I already have lots of gift type stuff in my house because I have to give gifts to my clients when they book trips. I can then just restock after the cruise.

What lengh extention cords do I need?

Anyone had to deal with potty accidents at night on the cruise? My dd still has some accidents at night (I am doing laundry now, wet sheets). She does not like pull ups. Do they supply sheet protectors?

I have a wonderful update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

DH got home late last night. He told me not to get upset that he was late because he was working on something important. He then told me that he talked to the GM at work and the client in Spain, and he is now able to fly home to NC on Thursday!!!!!!!! He will be able to drive to Florida with us on Friday!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Also, I called the friends that had planned to come stay with us while I waiting on DH to get home yesterday evening. I figured I needed to tell them that DH would not be home when they would stay with us next week.
Well, that is all worked out too!!!! The husband didn't have the correct date when he talked to my DH!!!!!!!! The girls' last day of work in TX is the 14th!! They plan to move her to NC the following week. Her first day to report to campus is on the 22nd. So that means we will not be home when they move. They will not be staying with us next week.

I am so thankful! My prayers have been answered!!!!!!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Thats wonderful news!!!! Now, no more stressing, your vacation is going to be wonderful and relaxing!!!

What about the ice cream?? You're telling me you are not having any dessert. That's scandalous;) :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Leaving in a about an hour and a half to head to the port. See you next week.

I know its a little late, but safe travels, and yes we will see you next week!!!

Not sure on the sheet protectors, but I know they will change the sheets, and take care of all of the hard work. You will just have to clean your DD's clothes.

Well our plans for Friday have been slightly altered by Airtran...We had a flight originally leaving at 6pm, well that was changed in July to 3:30pm, and then to 3pm, so we figured, ok, now we work a half day and the kids go to school a half day. Then yesterday, I checked the flight times just to be on the safe side, and Airtran changed our flight again to 12:30pm and arriving at 4pm, well that kills the whole day for us, with work and school, so I called Airtran, and aked to be put on the nonstop flight at 8am, and was told, ok, no problem. So now we get there at 11:26am on Friday. I didnt want to be driving to the port at 4pm in rush hour traffic! So the kids miss 1 more day of school, but they will catch up quickly! Bottom line is that we will never fly Airtran again, unless we are desperate!!! I hate changing flight times!

Question?

Do you think that they will let me get a picture with graduation mickey in my cap and gown? I graduated last year and did not know they had a graduation for the kids otherwise I would have asked to get my picture taken with Mickey and Minnie. Also whom should I talk to regarding coordination to make this possible?

thanks,
S.

Yes, that is where I saw him last time. I just think it would be too cool. I am going to bring my cap, gown, sash, and diploma just in case we can get it figured out. That would be wayyyy toooo cooooool.

Extension cords - we usually just bring a power strip, so that we can plug in all the camera chargers, curling iron, etc. I wasn't planning to bring an extension cord until someone said there is a plug behind the TV. So if you are going to use that for something, I guess at least a 6' extension cord would be good. I'm also bringing one of those nightlights with the 3 extra plugs. We have 2 cabins, so one will have the power strip, and one will have the night light.

Sheet protectors - If it were me, I'd bring one from home, just to make sure.

Good morning everyone....have been a little MIA in the last few days...just so busy and trying to get things organized.....
Got up at 5am this morning:scared1: not by choice...Ryan went down for a late nap at 5pm yesterday and slept through the night till 5am!! Poor kid woke up soaked though, guess you can't expect the diapers to hold 12hrs!:rotfl2: So I changed him and hoped he would fall back asleep, but nope! he wanted to watch Buzz and have his waffle! Oh well, another early morning!;) So here I am, I finally got both kids up and fed and now I have to get some things going:surfweb:
Only 4 days till we leave:cool1: :dance3: :yay:  :cheer2:
But I still have laundry to do:laundy: got to finish my lists:teacher: run errands:drive: and pack!
Hope everyone else is getting things together!

So, we have had a lurker in our presents. Welcome!:wave2:

It has been quite on here today. I kind of thought everyone would be posting like crazy. I guess everyone is just busy packing. I really need to start. I think I will go start right now.

I have a question for those that have had a solid wall verandah. We booked a gty verandah and when we got our room number 6150 realized it had a solid wall but it also is a little bit bigger verandah. Now my question, will my 4 year old have trouble seeing. I am not sure how tall the wall is. He is excited about using his papa's binoculors(he asked to borrow them) to look at things.

I have never had a veranda so I can't help you!!!

I am working on packing today and making lots of list for my dad who is watching the kids for the week. We leave Thursday morning. I can't believe our vacation is finally here!!!! Safe travels to all who have left or leaving early (in case I can't get back on to post...)
