We went to Palo on our first cruise (not the 2003 Members one). My dh and I really enjoyed it, but I think most of all we enjoyed the quiet couple of hours we had..kids went to the nursery!

I haven't gone on a Disney cruise for 5 years now, I can't remember if we are able to make reservations before we board??

Thanks!

Yes you can. If you are a castway member ( and it sounds like you are) 90 days out. That is how we did it.

Just checking in....

I see alot of new names for this cruise vs the last 2 years. Welcome aboard all.

I decided that this will be my annual tradition, GOD willing.

So I have been on the last 2 and this year will be my third.

I am making less but longer trips to wdw, next trip in May. Of course I say that but one of my 19 year twins got accepted to the Disney College Program and is going down in Jan.... maybe I will have top bring him down to make sure he gets there alright :) .

Imagine being a lifeguard at Disney at 19 !!!! Wow He is living my Dream Job!!!

Anyways Hello all ... I will be talking to you !

Hi Bruce - thanks for checking in. As you know it is one of our annual traditions as well. :) Congrats to your DS on the college program!

Reservations can now be made online (www.disneycruise.com) at the 105 day mark for those in the suites, 90 day mark for castaway club members (those who have sailed before) and 75 day mark for new cruisers. You might want to call DCL before then and make sure they have you marked as a Castaway Club member. Also you will want to make sure you sign off to the DCL site so that you have your log in ready. Reservations happen at midnight Eastern at that mark. Some things like Palo Brunch go fast.

Also you can now check in online (after the 90 day mark) and print out everything at home. Then all you need to get from DCL is your luggage tags. I love online check-in. :thumbsup2

Oh, me too! It makes things so fast and easy upon arrival at the terminal. Now if we could only make dining ressies online!

:welcome:
We were on the Members Cruise 2008.
Congrats to your son on being accepted to the Disney College Program :thumbsup2

Take care.....Monika:daisy:

I can tell you that someone in the group that is going on a 7 day in Oct. 2009 was able to get a group rate at the Radisson of $109+tax so it is possible.

Another SCMC2008 alum

Hey - Our group, the Bash on the Boat, is staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise. Our cruise is in Oct - a little later than the SSMC09. Our group rate is $109 and includes the shuttle and of course, parking. I don't know how many people we have going there (a lot, I didn't make the reservation set-up for the group though, so I don't know how many) but I bet you can do better than the regular $139 rate. Good luck!

Thanks for the updated info. We have to see if we need to save our points for an extended trip to Disney or if we are going to use them for a short stay before the cruise. Still deciding ...

:sunny: Good Morning Everyone.

Hope you have a great day :)

Congrats Flo on :bride: :thumbsup2
Congrats been2marceline on pirate: :thumbsup2

Ditto. Congrats to both of you.

Congrats to your DS on being accepted to the Disney College Program. What a dream!

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday! Found us on page 2!

How is everyone doing today? It is cold here in Chicago and while we had a few snow flakes overnight we didn't get anything like Indiana did. Yikes!

Have a great day everyone!

Mary,

I agree with you!:) i will take the cold instead of the snow they are saying Indiana is getting or got.;) It did not sound good for them last night. When we were watching the news, I turn to my DH and go you better get the snow blower ready.

Beastly-

Congrats on your sons Disney College Program. I am hoping that when the time comes my daughter can get in that. And yes, you better go with to make sure he makes it ok.

As to Palo, we can't wait to eat there again. We were just there for the first time in October, and yummo!!!! :thumbsup2 And that was our 4th Disney cruise and our first for Palo. Boy, we didn't know what we were missing. We are definitely going to try and book for one night while onboard the members cruise. Or any other that we may go on because we loved it that much. We didn't do it before because I felt guilty about not eating with the girls. They are older now and like to go to the dining rooms by themselves. And I know, they will be just fine. :flower3:

Mary and I have a friend from another cruise thread who has a son who will be starting the Disney College Program in January. I think it's the 6th or something? (I'll find out for sure b/c I'll be picking him up from the airport and he's staying here for a night)

Yeah, I'd say you definitely have to come down for a visit. Any excuse, right?

Karen - that is so sweet that you are taking care of Dale like that. I'm sure Pam is happy that he has someone close if he need them. :grouphug:

Good morning!

We also had some snow Sunday and a bit yesterday, but it didn't last on the ground. No shoveling yet ;)

Hello Everyone :wave2:

It's a cold day here...partly sunny and windy....40 degrees will be our high temperature today. We had some rain last night...but no snow yet.:sunny:

Hope everyone has a great day..:flower3:

Take care....Monika :daisy:

Hello all. It was a cold day here in Southern MD and it's becoming a colder night. Did not get out of the low to mid-40s today. We even had some snow flurries.

It stayed cold but was sunny so what tiny bits of snow we had are gone.

It's supposed to drop below 40 tonight here in Orlando.

Oh Boy! :scared1: That is cold for you guys!:) Hope it is just for the night and it gets warm again tomorrow.:) Like I am sure it will. By us right now it would stay 40.

The high tomorrow will be just over 60. I'm originally from MD so I like this kind of weather.

It's cold here too! When it gets like this, I start to wonder why I'm staying in the Northeast! i hate winter!! Annmarie
