09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Dave - what about you guys and next year?????? Flo, Dianne, Robbie, JoAnn and you too?

We are sorry to report that with 2 cruises already scheduled for next year, that we will not be sailing on the members cruise in 2011. As is the case for Chris, we can't really pull the kids from school and they are at that age where everyday is some kind of activity. To actually leave them home with someone isn't fair to ask them to be a taxi driver for a week. Hopefully someday things will calm down and we can all cruise together again!!

As for "scoping" out a Sunrise Club spot I will gladly check it all out!! I soooooo miss our morning beverages! Take care everyone.

Lisa-CONGRATS on the weight loss as well, what a year you have had! I wish I would have stayed with it, but I am right back where I was.

Wow, it IS really nice to see everyone here again - well, we are missing some.

DREAM big, everyone! Wish everyone could be there in '11. Not sure whether we will bring DS but he's a really good student and a few days won't hurt, I hope. Either way, DH and I are going, and probably DBFF Gail again. I think my DB and DSIL might come too again.

Thanks for having a beer for me Chris! It will taste great all the way to Jersey!

Can't wait to hear all about the Dream when you go Dave. :)

DS took a tour of the high school with DH this morning, like a dry run of his schedule. He feels a little better now. He's excited but a little nervous - back to being the low-man in status, you know. :lmao:

We're all watching to see what Hurricane Earl is going to do to our coastline - Dave, I'm sure you guys are watching too. How close will this be to you? We're about 60 miles or so from some points at the shore, so we will wait and see how much of Earl we will really feel - not much I hope.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Chris!! :worship:

I am so excited, I had to share this with you. Couldn't go on the member cruise this year, but we are going 10/10 on a 4 day cruise. I used my DVC points for a cat 7 for DH and me...and today I got a message from DVC/Disney cruise that we were upgraded to a cat 4, room 8020!!!! WOO HOO

How fabulous is that! Have a wonderful cruise, Susan! Miss talking with you.

Hope all of you guys out East stay safe from Earl!

Well, Earl was a fizzle here - thank goodness! Although I changed our plans and everything just in case, and it ended up being a fairly nice day after all! Go figure! Well, better safe than sorry, I guess. Off to a barbecue now.

Tomorrow we are venturing out to the PA Rennaisance Faire in Lebonan, PA.

Happy Holiday Weekend to all of my Friends!!! :cool1:

... but only disboarding when I have time....

Right now, I have a down payment on Alaska (May) and Dream (Dec) - adding the member cruise might be over the top - but we'll see - I might actually use point for the first time!

Been busy working my own job, then working at the karate school teaching for Tom (3-6 days a week) while he recovers from THIS (June 25) - 6 discs removed - 2 titanium rods inserted, connecting T5-12:

OMG Ellen. I hope he is doing ok. That is quite the incision. Here's to a speedy recovery for him.

Sounds like you will be busy cruising next year too. Hope you enjoy your trips!

I started going to the gym. I won a 1 month free membership a while back and waited until school ended to use it. Did cardio on Friday and then last night and tonight I did some cardio and then the Life Circuit. I'm a little sore but should sleep good tonight. Starting out slow but looking forward getting into shape. To date I've lost about 43 pounds and have been able to keep it off. I hope to reach my goal and lose about 20 more pounds and then maintain it with healthy eating and exercise. Going to get DS signed up in the next few days so he can go with me and start doing the cardio.

Maybe by the SSMC11 you won't even recognize us. Well DS you won't recognize anyway. I think he's over 5'7" and only 11 years old.

Have a safe holiday! School starts next Tuesday for the kids here. Yeah!!

Take Care

Wow! Congratulations on the weight loss!

Lisa - congrats on the weight loss. That is awesome. Me and DH are walking on our noon hour right now. Just trying to get the legs in shape for WDW.

We too are talking about the Members Cruise next year. The only thing is, we will be at WDW on the call in day in November. So not sure how that is going to work out. And we are thinking it will just be me and him on next year's. The oldest will be in college and the youngest is just involved in too many things. I think taking them out of school this year is going to be rough on them. But they really wanted to go, and we do hate leaving them behind. So they are going with. And we are so ready to go. Just keep your fingers crossed that all those storms out in the Atlantic stay away from CC!

I can't wait to hear how you like the Med cruise. I have been toying with doing a Med cruise in one of the up-coming years.

Dave - what about you guys and next year?????? Flo, Dianne, Robbie, JoAnn and you too?

Not sure yet on my end. It looks like I will be going away for 2 weeks in August (drive to WDW with my niece (12) with a stop in DC for the weekend). So if I do the member's cruise, I probably won't be able to do a spring non-Disney vacation. Still thinking though...

Ellen - :wizard::wizard:For Tom.

Hi Everyone ! Hope you are all having a great holiday weekend.

Take care

Sue- Glad to see you back.:thumbsup2

Ellen - that is quite a surgery Tom had. Here's hoping he feels better every day.

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend. Ours was really low key. I still can't kick my cough so didn't do a whole lot. Mark did lots of work around the outside of the house painting. We both enjoyed plenty of down time.

To Chris, Marsha, and anyone else still reading who is going on SSMC10 - have a great time and don't forget to give us a report when you get back.

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Good Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a pleasant holiday weekend!

Wow, Ellen that was quite a surgery Tom had! I hope he feels better soon. And you must be swamped trying to keep everything together while he recovers - so I will think happy thoughts for you, too. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad to hear a lot of chatter about the next member cruise! I hope all of our cruisin' buddies try to make it - it would be sooooo much fun to see everyone again, especially at 6 am for coffee (or pepsi)!

We had a busy weekend. On Saturday I finished painting some signs for DH's GS camp for the upcoming fall festival. The old ones really needed help! I did three 4' x 8'. I still have two more so I will try to finish those today after Moms visit. Sunday we went to a barbecue at friends house. That was relaxing. Then yesterday, we spent the day at the PA Rennaisance Faire. It was a really nice sunny day and we had a lot of fun with all of the knights, pirates and wenches!! :rotfl:

DS's first day at the high school - he left at 7 am (they start at 7:15 first bell) so I hope he's doing okay. Won't know til after soccer practice later. Everybody cross your fingers!

So after a few more chores here at home, I'm heading to mom's - she has a doctor's appt. this morning and then gets her hair done after lunch. Then back over to the camp to finish painting. Busy day! Have to work all day tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great day!! It's sunny and nice in Jersey. :cool1:

Happy Patriot's Day

To all of the men and women who have and are now fighting for this wonderful country that we hold so dear, THANK YOU! God Bless each and every one. Let us not only remember 9/11 in our hearts, but all of our national tragedies, such as Oklahoma City, Pearl Harbor and many others.

Hi Sue!

I got mine when I got home to.

:surfweb:

Well Hello everyone..its been a long time since I have been here. and lot has been happening.

is let me say I miss you all so much, and miss the sunrise club :grouphug:

well Michael is back at work for about 2 weeks now. :cool1:

My DS is finnally setting his wedding date 8-20-11 at Bush Stadium...it should be fun, they are getting married at home plate.

Next, My DD wants the whole family, to do our reunion trip to WDW in Dec of 2011.

Well since DH has not worked in a year, and alot is happening next year. We just cannot afford to join you all for the SSMC11. We are very sad about that.

So now we are shooting for 2012:thumbsup2

Now for my health, as most of you know I have not been feeling good for a long time. Well here is the scoop, I got a sinus infection that I thought would not go away...Doc gave up on me and was sending me to another Doc. So I went to my other Doc. and they tell me they think it is work related Asthma.

They have been remodeling at work downstairs, and it seems to be affecting me big time. So now I have meds and inhalors. They believe when the remodel is done, so will my Asthma. They won't let me work from home. and they won't move me to another office, cause they say it will be done in a few weeks.

Then I started having a little bit of a female issue, and had a proceedure this morning. So I am recovering now...with Gods help.

Well hope to catch up to all of you on the 2012 SSMC cruise.!!!!

Dianne,

How does DH like his job? Hope great.:wizard:

A wedding at home plate. how exciting, take pic. I would love to see.

Wow work related Astma. Poor you. I know how it is. I have the inhalers and it is now fun at times.:wizard: Hope your female problems get better. Sending you lots of :wizard::wizard:

Take care

We're still on the fence about SSMC11. Can't wait to hear back from those on this years cruise and how it compares to past years.

Sue I think I saw yesterday that the point charts are now up.

Dianne - Congrats to Michael on the new job and your son on the upcoming wedding. Sorry to hear about your suffering. Here's hoping that the work does end quickly and so does your Asthma. Some extra pixie dust for the procedure as well. 2010 has been a rough one for you and Michael - here's hoping the coming year is filled with nothing but good news!
