09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Hey Everybody. Just wanted to drop in and say hey. And to let you know that we will not be doing next year's members cruise. Just too many things going next year and after this year's, meh, cruise, we decided to pass.

But I will say that here is Bob:

All alone for the deck 9 sunrise coffee club. Granted it is a different table because they have redone the soda station area on deck 9 so we picked as close a table as we could. But see, he was so lonely. So, just saying, we thought of each and every one of you from last year when we took this picture, saying, God I wish everyone was here!

Well, yes he is Dave! I came off the ship without him. He just wouldn't move. Just kidding of course.

We would so love to cruise with this group of cruisers again. You guys were the best. So much fun and easy going. Memories of you all are the best. And we have pictures of you hanging on our vacation wall!

And I would also like to say to my September Anniversary Buddies. . . . .HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!

I know, Dave and Tanya and Sue and John, and us all have anniversaries this month. With Sue and John and me and Bob on the 29th of September. In fact, today is our 20th Anniversary. Wow! 20 years. Can't believe it. Not only is he my hubby, but he is also my best friend. Don't know what I would do without him. Love him so much.

So, to those that got married this month, years ago, celebrate in style and love the one your with!

We're back for 2011. Requested and was charged for an 8A. DCL website shows 8C. Need to call tomorrow to get the points straightened out.

UPDATE: DVC called us once they found out that DCL was booking guarenteed staterooms but moving people to different categories. They are adjusting our points to be those for a Cat 8C. Since it's still a Cat 8, I'm okay with the room.

But what I really wish is that all of my friends here were going with us! Come on guys - you know you want to try the wait list. What can it hurt - decide yes or no when (and if) they call you. Come on!!!!

Damn, Sue, I so wish we were able to join you. Don't know what I'm gonna due since the last two years I have spent on the SSMC site, and now I'm not going. We just have too many trips planned with this being Becca's Senior year and all. And Bobby booked a Christmas Cruise for 2011. I don't have that much vacation. I so wish that we were going because of you, and Lisa, and Monika & Michael, and all the new friends we met this year but we just can't. I think I'm going in to DVC Member Cruise depression.

Well, maybe next year? Or we will have to try and book a cruise some time when we can go together.

Am looking forward to hearing how this next year's cruise goes.

I hope this doesn't mean that you guys aren't going to be doing any posting on here - we just can't let it die!!!!

I miss all of you. I want to chat daily like we did before - I guess I'll just have to get used to being on Facebook a little more. I'm not on that very often, but if no one is one here, I still want to keep in touch.

It's rainy and chilly here in Jersey! Guess I'll have to catch up on everything I should have done over the weekend and didn't.

Hello DIS Friends!

Just checking in to say hello. The SSMC11 thread is so active that I think I'll have to make it a point to check it every am, lunch break, and pm to keep up. Maybe it is just the excitement of the first weekend.

Flo - as you saw the other day I volunteered to coordinate the linked dining for the cruise. Could you send me the details of who you worked with at DCL, what details are required of each stateroom, and any additional information I need to gather.

Hope everyone is off to a great week. It is rainy and cooler here in Jersey. Well at least there are less distractions as I try to get my work done. . Well other than the DIS site being a distraction.

Congrats to everyone who tried to get on SSMC11 and made it. Sounds like for the first time a lot didn't make it. I'm sure the lure of the brand new ship had people thinking about taking a cruise for the first time. I'm sure you guys will have a blast.

Not much new on this end. I do love that the cruise has been over for a year and we're still chatting. Hope that continues.

Is isn't as good as sitting around up on deck 9 in the morning, but it is still great to keep in touch.
