Chris,

We were supposed to get the ice last night and we did not get it so I was happy this morning. BUt on the way home it started to sleat a little so we will see.

Thanks Flo and I think we can have a foo foo drink for you!

Glad you didn't get the ice. We were able to go to work today but going down our drive way was dicey. When you hit the bottom of it you can't stop. In fact tonight when we got home DH pulled in and stopped and we slid back down to the road - while he had the brakes on! So I hope you don't get what we got.

Chris have a great trip,

all we have had here for days is fog, rain, fog and more fog, I think we are in
London:drive:

:wave2: Hello DIS Friends!!!

Just a quick note to say hello! :rotfl2: Okay, so when have my posts ever been quick. :rotfl2:

I am so exhausted after the past few weeks of work - preparing for the upcoming audit. New system to be included this time and the folks overseeing it don't seem to be too familiar with this type of audit and the requirements. :headache: I'll just leave it at that. Lots of days or should I say nights working into the early mornings. Man, I thought I was getting a break from that until my next class starts.

Hope everyone is well.

Chris - Have a great trip. Hope the weather out there does not impact you getting to Florida as planned.

Dave - My next class starts the first week in March. I have so much to do prior to that with this audit and I also have to plan our Blue & Gold Banquet for our Cub Scout pack. The banquet is also the first week in March. My 'official' last class will be in the summer (wow this is the first time I did not say 'next summer' it is actually this summer!!! oh how sweet it is!!); however, for this one it is not a class I attend on a weekly basis. We go the first night and get all the details for the Action Research Project. It is independent work for our final requirements for the masters program. Very large paper. :surfweb: This will be me March - August.

Although I know there is no way I can swing it this year, I am still holding on to that little glimmer of hope that I can go on the WBTA. The timing would be perfect for the end of school but then it would not be good for my kids. That would be the first month of school for DS's first year in middle school. I do not like the thought of leaving him for two weeks at that time. It is a big transition for kids. And, it would also be DD's first year in public school. For K this year, I sent her to a small school with full day K. Our public school K is still half day.

Okay, struggling to stay awake just to type this. I have a very busy day tomorrow. Busy at work and then I am heading out early from work to an alumni event at the college I attended a very long time ago. So excited to meet up with my old college room mate who I have not seen in many years.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!! Not sure when I will be back on so take care. :flower3:

Lisa,

Hello! I love your posts they are fun to read.

I am sure it does feel good knowing that you will be done with school this year.:thumbsup2 You have done a great job so far. Don't know how you do it with all you do.

:wizard::wizard:fo the West Bound Trans Atlantic.

Take care

P.S. Hello all my SSM09 Friends! Have a great Weekend.

:surfweb:

Chris - have a great time at WDW! Enjoy the warmth, sunshine and magic!

Lisa - I'm with Flo. Love reading your posts. You are so active and busy. I don't know how you do it. Congrats on this being your final leg to your Masters. Good luck with it.

Well, another slick night last night. School was delayed by 2 hours again and after driving to work we could see why. Very slick out there. Shouldn't affect our flight out today though. Our flight doesn't leave until 5:00 tonight. It should be better by then. (I hope :rolleyes1).

Even though we are taking the lap top, I'm not sure if I will be getting on this weekend. So have a great weekend everybody! :flower3:

Oh, and Mary, I've been meaning to tell you that I love your new signature thingy for the wedding in July. That is so cool!

Good Morning everyone!!

Chris-Have a safe flight and Enjoy your trip!

Sue-How was your trip? Hope everything was great!

Flo-Hope all is well with you

Mary-Hope all is well with you and Mark as well. I have read a little on the new Hawaiian resort, looks nice!

Lisa-You always sound so busy, without being frazzled. I don't know how you do it. Have a good weekend.

Dianne-Hope all is well with you.

Joanne-All plans made for WBTA?

Have a good weekend everyone.

Good Morning All of my Deck 9 Buddies & Cruisin' Friends!

I'm baaaaack! Unfortunately!! No, it's always good to be home but it's really fun to be in WDW.

Would like to say that things went off without a hitch - but I guess they rarely do. I will say that our weather was really good. It wasn't always warm, but it didn't rain - so all was fine. We arrived in the high 60's for the first two days and evenings were chilly & breezy. Tuesday and Wednesday were in the low 70's but mostly sunny - very nice. Yesterday was forecast for cloudy and windy but warm, maybe 80. I don't think it made 80 but the sun did pop out for a while and it was windy. We had to be back at the Boardwalk by 4:20 for Magical Express and it started to get nasty looking. While on the bus it rained a bit, then it really rained but not for long.

Got to the airport and discovered that our flight that was supposed to leave at 7:05 was now 9:15 delayed. Then it went up to 9:40! Finally boarded a plane that was fresh into service (never got told what was wrong on the other one) around 9:45. Didn't walk in the door until 1:15 am this morning. So I'm tired and cranky. Dustin is still asleep and John is at work.

Dustin and his friend had a great time!

I was not happy with our room at all. We spent extra points on the "preferred view" (boardwalk view wasn't available). Well, whoever decided that the location of our room was "preferred" needs glasses! We had to walk the entire length of the hallway to get to the end, quite a good hike, and then looked out over the canal that goes to the HS and the backside of the Dolphin! Great view!!!! Yea, right! I went down to see if we could switch or even upgrade, and they supposedly had nothing in the entire WDW resort! I really find that hard to believe in January - but. And the service I had at the front desk while on this quest wasn't exactly "disney-like" - I walked away very upset.

But Dustin and his friend had a really great time!

The parks were very crowded! And I'll tell you why - flags!!!! Those pesty little tour group flags! Oh my goodness, they were everywhere! I've been down there in January before and it was never like this! We really had a hard time getting on some of the attractions - and I hate crowds!! Especially the ones that are made up of alot of teenagers running crazy - oh wow, I'm getting really old.

Chris, hope you and Bob have better luck with the crowds and tour groups, maybe they'll all be gone by the time you get there!! Good Luck. And you better put some on the long sleeves back in - after the weekend it's supposed to get chilly again. And the evenings have been really cool - but I guess after the weather you guys have been having, it will seem like spring!

Well, have to go wake up Dustin soon. I'll be back to chat!

Chris, have a great time! pixiedust:

Lisa, it must be great to have the end of your classes in sight. How big of a project will it be?

Well, I saw Avatar this afternoon and really enjoyed it! I ended up seeing it in IMAX 3D. However, I did have a problem in the middle for a little while. I ended up getting a bit of an upset stomach. I ended up closing my eyes for about 15 mintues and just listening and that solved my problem. After that I could watch it without a problem. I was a bit surprised by the upset stomach because I have watched IMAX movies many times without a problem. Maybe it was the combo of IMAX and 3D?

Sue - That is to bad about your room at the resort.:sad2: But it sounds like it did not ruin your vacation.;) What a long wait at the airport. But at least you made it home safe and sound.

Cris - Hope you flight got out and you are at the world or soon to be safe and sound. and having fun.:)

Mary - I agree with Chris. I love the wedding in July sig.

Dave - I am just fine. Hope all is well with you Tanya and the family.

I am exhausted just reading this, Hope everyone is well, and Sue, glad you made it back alright. We are alright here. its still very foggy here, I think its been foggy all day everyday for the last five days. Nothing very exciting happening here, I am going to a AAA travel show tomorrow morning. Thats about as much traveling I will be doing this year. DH is still out of work. Trying to make every dollar stretch. well enough said, I can travel through all of you this year. :confused3 Boy do I miss you all. DH had a palm tree that was lit up at christmas with the nativity, well, that all came down, except the palm tree is all lit up in the back yard right now, I told him I love seeing it when I come home for work, It puts a smile on my face, cause I am thinkin of all of you,:love: Have a great weekend.:yay:

Good morning everyone!

Dianne the palm tree sounds cute. Glad it brings good memories. Here's hoping DH gets something soon.

Lisa you sure do have a lot of your plate. I get tired just reading your updates but love them!

Sue - sorry to hear about the room and attitude at the Boardwalk especially since that is our home. Sounds like you didn't let it ruin your trip which is great.

Robbie - we saw Avatar in Imax 3D as well. The first couple of times they showed flight scenes I got a bit of a feeling of movement like you do at Star Tours but I really think the 3D made the movie even better.

Hope Chris is enjoying WDW!

Wish we were back up on deck 9 enjoying our drink of choice. I miss you all!

Thanks for the comments on the new addition to my signature. The groom made it. Had to adjust a few things to get it to fit but I did.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Morning All!

Hope everyone had a great weekend, hope Chris is enjoying the World. Plenty of rain in store for us today.

Have a great day!

WOW, I can't believe the awful weather we've had today! :scared1: The wind was terrible and I would guess that we've had about 3" of rain. And now, much to my surprise, the sky is almost clear and blue, but it is still pretty windy, but not like earlier!

Dave, you're right, and I bet you are getting the same bad storm now! Hope all is well with you, Tanya and the girls. :lovestruc

Hope Chris and Bob are having a good time in WDW. Does anyone know when they come home? :confused3

Mary, I have to echo Chris - I love the wedding logo that you have on your signature. It is very nice!!! I'll bet you are looking forward to that cruise, especially now during this crazy weather! :)

Diane, I did look in the Germany pavilion - as a matter of fact I looked in all of the world showcase pavilions - and didn't see any of the chocolates you were looking for. I hope Robbie can help you get them from NH.

Joanne - are you in WDW too? Forgot when you were going - senior moment!

Hi Flo - what's new in your neck of the woods? ;)

Hi Sue!

Nothing new here. We are having some crazy weather here to. Last week it was in the upper 30's and sunday I think it hit 40. Most of the snow melted that we had. We were able to get are Christmas blow up out of the snow. Then today it is in the 20's and snowing. So far this is been one strange winter.

Have a good evening.
