09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

We are going over to Epcot on Sunday for round 2 of the Food & Wine Festival. Current forcast is for a high of no more than 70 degrees. That will be a relief from last Sunday when it was 93 degrees.

You are making me soooooo jealous:worship::worship:

We'll been taking care of DGD 5 this weekend ,,took her to pumkin patch this afternoon, and then came home and decorated it. Lots of fun we have been playing on the WII also.

Good morning everyone! Just got back from bowling. Wanted to do a practice run before our employee appreciation bowling party next week. At least I got a feel for it again. Didn't do great but did good enough not to be embarrassed. :)

No other plans for the weekend. Just the usual laundry, etc.

I am sure you will have alot of fun Mary

Too bad you couldn't get Dave on your team. Have fun when you go.

Joanne-They would probably show me up, bowling is huge in the mid-west!!;)

Hi!!!

It has been raining here for days also.

I was supposed to have stand duty at the baseball field today for a girls softball tournament but the tournament was cancelled and is not being rescheduled. Hate to say it but

I came in the office around 1:45 today to work on my paper. I am still here now and I have 8 pages of typed up notes. I needed a break from all the exciting information on computer security. Is there a smiley with it's eyes crossed? That would be me right now.

Between this class and the cyber security event I went to the other night I have learned that we as a group have not been very good about keeping our personally identifiable information (PII) secure. My anxiety level went up a few notches with all the stuff I have been learning. Yikes!

FYI.....Posting birth date information online is a No No ! That is one of the top 3 things you do not want to disclose.

Just so you all know for future reference.

As for future vacation plans, I am so undecided. :confused3

I have to say that I did more research last night on the WBTA and the Alaska cruises and the WBTA is definitely a better value. Joanne, I recall you mentioning that recently. I agree.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether the Alaska cruises will be become a regular event? Not just a 2011 cruise. I have always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise but I do not think I can manage it for 2011. Okay, so I know it is a long ways off but I really wanted to bring the kids on that trip and I doubt I could manage it right now.

If anyone is wondering, yes, I am like this in most things. I analyze everything to death. :lmao: Plan, Plan, Plan! Ask lots of questions! Ugh.

Okay, I better not spend too much time on here while at work.

Have a great night!!
Lisa

Dave,

Not on my account. I could never do that good. I have had many a good bowler try and show me and it does not work. My high average was in the 80's. They liked me on there team for handi cap.

I am finally uploading pictures. Here are the ones I had from the DIS Meet at BCV.

Hi Everyone!

Been busy doing fall stuff this weekend. Yesterday Becca had her last band competition and we did the normal shopping thing. Went to watch the band and it was pretty cold. My feet we freezing by the time we left. And we didn't even stay for the whole thing. She got home around 1:00 am. They placed third. The did great but the other bands they competed against were really good.

Today we cleaned out the garden. What a fun job that is. My arms got scratched up but we are getting ready for winter. Yippeeeee.

Everyone else have a good weekend?

Hello Chris, I stayed at home and cleaned out the garage, put summer toys away and pulled out winter stuff. Now sitting inside watching the Patriots. I can't believe the snow coming down today, absolutely crazy for October.
Glad to hear Becca at least place third, job well done:thumbsup2. We ahve two more weekends of soccer, then the weekends are ours again...oh yeah Courtney still has Nutcracker rehearsals until December :( Someday!!

Chris - Congrat's Becca! Good job.

Dave - Sounds like you had a busy weekend to.

Mary - GOod luck bowling this week

Good Morning Deck 9 Sunrise Crew and all of my friends!
Have sore ankles, will travel, here!!

Well, I'm back and none the worse for wear - except for two slightly sore ankles! I think the cold and wet part contributed to that, but I can't be sure whether it's that or just plain old age!! hehehe :rotfl:

Thanks Dave, for the thoughts! I'm sure that they helped, especially when it got to the end and the feet weren't moving quite as fast as they did in the beginning! :rotfl2:

We all (my team of four) had gotten up early on Saturday and went over to one of our area malls and did about 7 or 8 miles inside there. It was still fun because there must have been over 500 of us or so just at this one. Some of the Crew came over and set up a little "pit stop" for us in the atrium at the center, with water bottles and snacks. We were hootin' and hollerin' like crazy! And the merchants were really great - some of them even handed out samples and goodies!

Then we were up at 4:30 am yesterday because we had to arrive in Philly before 6:30 and we knew there would be a line to get in - and so there was. (Upon talking to one of the Crew later that day, they were figuring about 2/3 of us would show up to walk since it was still really nasty in the morning - but we showed them! Almost every walker arrived and walked!!)

They opened the route at day break, about 7:05 am and we were off! Still in the rain, about 40 degrees and windy, so the windchill factor was about 34, so they said! :scared1: It wasn't the walk that made me a bit tired, it was the extra weight of all the extra clothes plus raingear!! I hope a lost a pound or two because I sure did end up sweating! I hate rubber rain jackets! Next time it's goretex all the way.

By about 11:00 the rain eased up to a mist and by about 1 pm it had all kinda stopped - except for the rain off the trees and such when the wind would blow - which was ALL day.

But after about 15.4 miles, we all made it to the finish line and closing ceremonies, and it was great!! John, Dustin and Gail were all there to cheer me in! :cool1: And yes, I'd do it again in a heartbeat - it's fantastic!!!! :yay:

Good Morning! :goodvibes

Dave - :scared1: 1 1/2" of snow. Yuck! Weren't you just camping like a weekend ago or so? My how the weather can change in a heartbeat. We had a fairly nice day yesterday. Hopefully it won't last long for you guys so you can have some Fall time before Winter time. Just wondering, do they play soccer in the snow? And, I love the nutcracker. What part does Courtney have in it? The music is just so. . . .fun. Good luck to her.

Thanks for the congrats for Becca. They have one more marching performance this coming Friday night at the last home football game. It should be fun.

Sue - so glad to hear you were able to walk this weekend. Too bad about the weather Sunday morning but you did it! :thumbsup2 I, too, was thinking about you wondering how it was going. Hopefully next year the weather will be better for you.

Gotta get to work! Have a great day! :flower3:
