So... I'm panicking.

I took my kids to the Museum of Science and Industry today, and we had a great time. I packed a lunch, but I got some fries for all of us to share as a treat. When I was on my way home, I stopped at the store and tried to use my debit card and it came up "stolen card." Really? It's mine. So from the time I left the museum, til the time I got home, my card had been compromised and now I do not have a card- and neither does my hubby who is down in Orlando for work this week. Nice. He's traveling and has no card. At least I have the checkbook for groceries. BUT- next week is a holiday week and we leave for our trip. Only planning on using the debit card... and now I won't have one. I'm going to scream bloody murder at the bank tomorrow to see if they can overnight me a new one- UGH!! Could this have happened at a worse time??

So, I called my credit union today to freak out as planned- and when the automated guy answered the phone I got "Thank you for calling the credit union... if you are experiencing problems with your visa debit or credit card, please press 0." So... to make a long story short, apparently the visa system went out of whack for a few hours last night and was declinging everyone as "stolen card." Thank God I was only at Gymbo buying some clothes for my kids- and that I didn't have a huge cartful of groceries- because the grocery store was my next stop. So, i still have my card, and both of our cards work now.

Holy cow, what a scary night!! I was so panicked!!

She just complained that her throat was hurting again. I have what appears to be a slight cold....maybe...itchy throat and just a little congestion. I am trying to fight it.

Okay Ladies & Gents,

I can't believe I have close to 50 pages to read. I'm sure I missed birthdays, anniversaries, and . So congratulations!!!

I'm trying to make sure I have everything I need and don't no if this other lists but since it happened to someone I work with . . . . don't forget to turn the washing machine water off! I know someone who went away for Thansgiving and bythe time she was home everything in her house was ruined. The water was everywhere. The house was was condemed.

So, I called my credit union today to freak out as planned- and when the automated guy answered the phone I got "Thank you for calling the credit union... if you are experiencing problems with your visa debit or credit card, please press 0." So... to make a long story short, apparently the visa system went out of whack for a few hours last night and was declinging everyone as "stolen card." Thank God I was only at Gymbo buying some clothes for my kids- and that I didn't have a huge cartful of groceries- because the grocery store was my next stop. So, i still have my card, and both of our cards work now.

what a crazy day today.

My mom is coming by to watch the kids tomorrow night, so that I can go to work... but she's bringing my Grandma from Florida with her. That's great- I've seen her a lot since she's been on vacation up here, but she hasn't come to my house this time around... so, I'm off to clean my house.... because Grandma has a keen eye for specks of dust!! Ha!

I'll check in with any of you night owls out here in Dis World!!

Good Morning All! I had a lot of pages to catch up on and thought I better do it now before another day passes.
I am getting so excited about the cruise. I cannot wait. I still have lots to do like pack the suitcases and FE gifts and print out some magnets. I plan on doing a lot this upcoming Monday.

Well a little sad right now, DH has been laid off. He was hired about 3 weeks ago, the company told the hall they had at least work for a year. we'll they were counting on contacts they didn't have ,so back to the hall he goes...number 41 on the list. thats about where he was in May, thats pretty rotten of the company...He would not have accepted the job if he knew it would only last 3 weeks, so now he's back at the bottom of the list.

Dianne, so sorry to read this. You and DH are in my prayers.

I didn't cook tonight either. It's our 36th anniversary and DH and I went to Bonefish Grill to celebrate. If you've never been there, their Bang Bang shrimp is so delicious! (You've got to like things a little spicy, though.) It was a lovely dinner w/my sweetheart .

Thanks - today is the easy part of the treatment. I get unplugged from the chemo pack I've been wearing since Monday. Takes about 10 minutes. Then I'm done!


I think it was Kenna who asked about the DIS meet. It is open to everyone. In past years we've had a number of people not cruising with us show up. Some from previous cruises and some just friends of other DISers. So do what you think is best for you and your friends. As noted it is a very informal gathering for a chance for people to get to know each other before meeting up at the port.

Just a reminder - here is where and when you can get your buttons:

Saturday 3pm DIS meet

Sunday at the port before boarding. We should be easy to find as we'll be in matching yellow DVC by Resale shirts.

Sunday 3pm DIS meet on board the Wonder. Remember to get to this one on time as we have some awards to give out, some raffle prizes to give out and we want to get a group picture.

As much as I keep telling myself that I'm going to be organized and I'm going to be ready early, it more than likely won't happen. I don't know why, but there is always something that comes up that slows me down! But I'm trying really really hard this time - and if DBFF is reading along, she's laughing out loud at me right now!!
