Sandi was on the DCL site this morning and she couldn't find Verizon Wireless listed as a cell phone provider. Does anyone know is Verizon phones will work on the cruise?

This is all I could find. I had this info because I wanted to know the companys. It says most carriers so maybe they are included. Why don't you send DCL an e mail. They will get back to you. I have sent them many questions and they have. It may take a few days. This may also be what Sandy has.

evening everyone, just got back from DH's birthday dinner. We had a great time. Tomorrow we do dinner with his mom and sat-tues we go to the ocean with my parents. i love it! we get back from vaca for a week and then we get to see all of you down in FL!

Just wanted to drop in a say Hey to you all. My sister Kathy and I were on last year's Member Cruise. We were just saying that we hoped to cruise with you all again; you guys were the very best part of the trip. Unfortunately, we will have to spend the time you are on the cruise on the beach at Waikiki. Life sure is tough, huh?! We are planning to take a trip over to Ko Olina to see how they are progressing with the new DVC resort there. Have a blast (and a Konch Kooler)! Hope to see you next year (or in 2011 on the Dream or Fantasy)!

Question:

Did anyone else have to sign for their cruise documents from UPS? Ours came, no problem and even though I happen to be home at the time, he just left them in the door. My DBFF Gail got home yesterday to find one of those slips stuck on the door that says we were here and the she had to sign for her package. I have to call her and see if she got them today. Does everyone else have their documents?

We called Sprint because we woundering about the charge. They told us because we have the unlimited text and phones it is included. We will see. BUt I will also have the internet on board so we can keep in contact with my son that way.

Yeah, my girls are on Facebook and the only way they could have an account is if I was one of their friends. They just rolled their eyes and said "MOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM".

Umm! I'm not sure if I should tell you this or not but your girls can block you. You may not even know you've been ignored.

In 2007 DVC did a formal night for the Legends Ball but in my opinion it was a bust. Other than that there really isn't a dress up night on the 4 night cruise. At least not like Formal/Semi-Formal night on the longer cruises. Of course you dress up for Palo dinner and some like to dress nicer for Triton's but no real formal night.

I'm to the point where I actually prefer Facebook to the DIS. For one thing I can keep in contact with all my friends not just my Disney loving friends. For another the DIS has really changed over the years and I'm just not as happy with it as I once was.

This is soo true! I used to post a lot but then started noticing if I posted asking a question or something, it would be ignored as if I wasn't even there. Granted, I have met some "wonderful" people through DisBoards but now there are better ways to "speak" with them.

I have to get mine done to before the cruise.

I also have to get take care of the gray stuff.

It is an amazing difference! My only problem is that DH likes it to be long and I like it shorter because it's easier to take care of. I'm not a stand-in-front-of-the-mirror type of a gal, so wash and go is good for me. But then I get the sad face from DH.

I need to get my hair done too. My hair is the longest it has ever been. I want to donate it to Locks for Love. This will allow my long hair to be turned into a wig for a girl or boy dealing with cancer and the loss of hair. The only problem is that I am starting to like my hair longer, which means I have to grow it longer in order to keep some length.

Just a quick note to the people I sailed with last year. We had to put my best four-legged buddy Rolo down last Friday. He was 13 years old. He got very ill very fast. We miss him like crazy.

I should stop counting also. Some of my friends just don;t understand why i go so often and I try to tell them I just relax even if I don;t get to a park.

Oh my gosh! I got into a "discussion" over this today. How can you go to WDW every year? What do you mean you don't always visit parks? There are so many more places to go other than WDW! My response is, "Do I question when and where you go on vacation!"

That story about the "princess" arriving late is really funny. I would have loved to see her jump for it!

I remember on the '05 there were also beach balls around because DS had one. I have a picture of him holding it. And I vividly remember waking up, going out onto our verandah, and telling my DH that something was definitely different about where we had pulled in on Sunday morning! That was a long bus ride back, especially with the crying kiddies behind us!

Nothing wrong with going to watch Big Brother. It is good this year and you never know what is goingto happen. The 2 hour end is when we are on the SSM09. I am setting my DVR for that. I for sure do not want to miss that. Not that I don't know what is happening befre it happens because of the spoilers. How about Chima!

So So sorry about your doggie! Thoughts are with you. It has been over a year and I keep calling the new puppy by his name. It is not easy. But like you said they are in doggie heaven.

Frank we are going to miss you and Kathy on the cruise but how wonderful to spend time on Waikiki. Thanks for taking time to check out Ko Olina. Can't wait to hear what you think of it. The Mass you said for us last year is a very very special memory for me.

Yes Palo has a private dining room that can seat between 12 and 14. Last year a group of DISers had it for brunch. We've had brunch in there on a few cruises. As for our dinner with Jim Lewis - we were invited on the 2005 Member Cruise to a private dinner with Jim Lewis, his wife, the current WDW Ambassador and his wife and 4 other "couples". One couple was a mother and son while another was two sisters (Amanda and Annette who weren't on the DIS yet). I know the other 4 couples got the dinner for being among the first to do an add on. Our invitation was waiting for us when we got to our stateroom. It was arranged by a very special person who worked for DVC at the time. It was an awesome evening.

We were able to use the wireless internet in our deck 7 stateroom last year with no problems.
