Thanks so much for chatting with me! It has really helped to pass the time. I'm anxious to see Dustin - he's been away the whole week!

Off for our Midnight Run!! Hope to chat with you tomorrow! Can't wait to meet face to face - should be fun!

Hey Joanne! Its okay that you're a Mets fan - but I don't like it when they are beating the Phillies in the 6th inning! :rotfl2:

Well, since your team has a much, much better chance of making it to the playoffs, don't begrudge us one win; that'll probably be it for the series w/Philly. I do have to say that the Phillies have the cutest mascot. Love the Phanatic.

we are taking DCL transportation, so its what ever time they get us there!

Same w/us. What resort are you leaving from?

Mine always starts out small but always upgrades!! :)

Oh no, watching the 11:00 news and more rain is coming with lightning and thunder. Great just what I want to drive thru at this hour of the night!!

I wish you could send some of that rain to us...our area is parched.

Phils just lost to the Mets - Joanne will be happy!!

Just a battle won; the war is surely lost for us this year.

That was how I felt when decision time came about Holly - I didn't want Dustin finding her at the bottom of the steps.

OMG, we had a dog named Holly. We had to put her down in '94 when she was 15 1/2. I cried for a week and I still wish we had her back 15 years later.

Well, that's it for me; I'm off to bed. DGD1 will be up and DH leaves her for me. (In all fairness, he'll be working from our house tomorrow and Sunday.)

Good morning everyone. I'm getting ready to go to bed, but thought I'd check up on everyone out here.

This weather is so strange- we were only around 70 today- pretty cool for August. In fact, it prompted me to unbox fall clothes for my kids to see what I have. Now, I am drowning in clothes and laundry :laundy:

Why do I do these things to myself?

ok, I do have a question... and it may sound a bit silly, but bear with me- :rolleyes1I've never been on any cruise before. So, the decks that are at the top of the boat are only airconditioned inside of places, like restaraunts etc? I'm still trying to figure out what all I actually need to pack, and I'm wondering if long sleeved things would be necessary for dinners, etc... Do they keep it really cool, or comfortable etc? Are the rooms temp adjustable, or is it all one temp- and is that warm or cool? Long sleeve/pant jammies, or shorts and a tshirt? What to pack or not to pack- that is the question!

and what about bug spray- is it needed for the island if we are just planning on hanging out at the beach?

Thanks!!

I think I slept for a few hours but I'm wide awake. It look I may be the only one! Annmarie

I love the Phanatic too.

It's raining so hard right now - we're having flash floods.

Just a battle won; the war is surely lost for us this year.

That's too funny. Our Holly was a real sweetie - she was a mini-collie/shepherd mix (black and brown). She had a great personality - I miss her alot.

Well, we're back from the midnight run to pick up DS Dustin. My niece was late due to the weather, but all is well. He had a wonderful time visiting his big brother and now is home safe and sound. All is right in the world!!:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone - happy Saturday!

Sue - glad to hear you made your pick-up ok.

Congrats to Sue on the :bride:

Congrats to Dianne on the pirate:

Carrie - the inner areas of the ship are air conditioned. Some like to pack a sweater to use at dinner and in the theater. I've never found it too cool to need one.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Get ready to smile and say Disney! One of the best souvenirs you'll come home with will be pictures. It starts right before you enter the ship as you pose before a backdrop that they will add a digital frame to later. In addition they have backdrops out every night to have pictures taken in front of. So come down early before dinner, find the one you like best and get in line for a family picture. Some backdrops have scenes on them like the ship or sunsets. Ofter there is a backdrop that is all white and goes on the floor as well (and on our April '08 cruise they also had an all black one). These are where they do lifestyle portraits. They will do a number of different poses with you even on the floor. You have to be barefoot or in stocking feed (no shoes) but you can get some great shots.

Here's a tip - did you know you can have Christmas Cards made on the ship using one of your pictures? What a great way to show family and friends the fun you had on the Member Cruise!

Thanks Mary. It was quite a thunderstorm but thankfully everyone was safe!
Thanks for the Congrats too.

How are you feeling today? Well I hope. I'm sure you are looking forward to finishing up and enjoying the relaxation of the cruise! Happy Thoughts ;) heading your way!

Good Saturday Morning! :goodvibes Three weeks from today I will be sitting in the airport right now waiting to head to Florida! :woohoo:

Sorry for leaving off last night Sue. I got up from the computer to go to the bathroom and realized that the State Fair show was on TV. I love to watch the highlights from our State Fair so I crawled in to bed to watch and I was done. Glad your drive was safe and you have Dustin back home.

As for my answer about getting to the port, I told DH this time we are not going to be the first ones at the port. Which we have been twice before. I am hoping to get there around noon. We are staying at a gorgeous hotel in Melbourne and I want to go down and enjoy the beach in the morning and I also want to stop at Ron Jon's on the way up. Ron Jon's is like a tradition for us. Always stop and look around. There is also a Wal-Mart right there on A1A so if we need to stop and get anything we can.

Congrats to you and Dianne for the :bride: and pirate:.

Chilly day here. We are to only be in the mid 70's. Brrrrrrrr. I know, not that cold but to me it is. We had to shut the windows up here in the house this morning cuz it is chilly. We even have sweats on. It is not to be like this!
