Good morning everyone - happy Saturday!

Don't know what went wrong but I kept trying to put in image in of the kitchen sink and then when it posted it didn't show. Maybe the image locations had it blocked. :confused3 Anyway if you use google image and put in "kitchen sink Disney" you'll see it. We've seen it in person twice when eating there and they are huge! They make a big deal when they bring it out. Also if you have ever seen any on the old Samantha Brown shows on one of them she goes to Beaches and Cream and gets one.

Good Saturday Morning! Looks like it is going to be a gorgeous day here today.

Well, one week from right now we will be on our way to the airport to catch our flight to Florida! I have really got to start packing. Maybe by Monday I will have most of my stuff around.

Mary - thanks for find that info out about the Dole Whips and the Kitchen Sink. My family would love to try that Kitchen Sink.

Have a great weekend Gary! Wish you were going with us as it would be nice to meet you. Maybe next time.

:flower3:

Yep, that is where I have seen it before, with Samantha Brown.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip(s) Of The Day

Here is a collection of little tips that may help with any last minute packing. Things you may want to bring depending on your own tastes.

Shampoo, conditioner and body butter are in your bathroom in small tubes They are by H20+ and are different than the ones you get at WDW. We love them, but you may want to bring your own favorite brand.

Both the tissue and toilet paper on board is not of the highest quality as far as softness. Again you may want to bring a favorite brand if that is important to you. If you do however I would suggest using the TP sparingly - remember that you are on a ship and it has to break down faster and better than what is used on land.

There are not a lot of outlets in the room so some people like bringing an extension cord to plug things in.

If you need a hair dryer with lots of power it is suggested you bring your own as some people don't like the ones onboard.

If you like to know what time it is at night you might want to pack a small travel alarm clock. The one we bring lights up by pushing a button and gives a little extra light.

Don't forget some singles for room service and quarters if you want to do laundry.

Most of all don't forget your important documents and id's.

Last but not least - bring a sense of adventure and prepare to have an amazing time.

Susan,

How do you feel? What did the Doctor say?

One week from today is our pre-cruise DIS meet:

Saturday, September 12th 3PM Eastern time

The Solarium in the Beach Club

This is an optional meet for anyone who comes down early. It is very casual and informal. If you show up you'll get your buttons early and also get a chance to meet and chat with your fellow cruisers. The meet usually runs about an hour but if you can only stop by for a few minutes that's ok too.

Thanks for thinking of me...feel terrible, up all night, can't breathe..all stuffed up and head is like a pumpkin. Sinus infection...hopefully it won't progress to bronchitis...levoquin antibiotic of choice..$35 co pay. Don't like co pay for 7 pills. But it's all that works on this for me. So, staying in my room, not contaminating anyone. Hopefully I will be a little better by tomorrow, and really good by Monday...I hate being sick. I said to DH, can you imagine how my poor mom feels with her emphysems? She is oxygen dependent and can't breathe for the most part. Must be terrible. Poor mom. I tried for years and years to get her to quit smoking, but she always said, you gotta die from something. Now she wishes she had quit long before she did.

Mary, thanks for the reminders...forgot that I took my lighted clock last time, and with an inside room I will definitely need a night light.

My one thing is grocery shopping...I hate it...wish I could fax my order in and someone would just deliver it.

Susan

 I'm so excited!!!!

I just got my airfare for the cruise. Talk about waiting until the last minute!

I know I haven't checked in here for awhile, but there was a real possibility that I wasn't gonna make it down for the cruise and I was really depressed about it. I lost my job last November and things have been really tough this year. So while the cruise is paid for, I just didn't have the money for airfare and transfers.

Well, today it all worked out and I will be there to join you all. I can't tell you how relieved I am.

Thanks so much to Flo, Monika, Mary and everyone else who kept in touch with me over on Facebook and made me feel like I was still part of this group. I just had to share my good news!

I'm off to catch up with you guys and start planning for a much-needed vacation! WHOO HOO!!!

At Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and the Dole Plantation in Hawaii pineapple is the flavor of choice. It is served in a cup or in a glass of pineapple juice as a "Dole Whip Float" topped with a maraschino cherry and Polynesian paper umbrella. Its presence at Disneyland is a benefit of Disneyland's long-standing relation with Dole Foods, corporate sponsors of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. At Walt Disney World, Dole Whip is now available outside of the Magic Kingdom at the Disney's Polynesian Resort.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dole_Whip#cite_note-0

Though a Dole Whip has the taste and consistency of soft-serve ice cream, the dessert actually gets its texture from ordinary food thickeners. The only dairy content is a small amount of the milk derivative sodium caseinate.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dole_Whip#cite_note-1

Mary, that is so interesting about the Dole whip. I never would have guessed that there's no dairy in it. It is yummy, though.

Susan, the pills may be a lot of $, but if they work, they'll be worth it. We want you to feel better.
