Ok, I have a DVC Cruise question. Hopefully someone can help.

For this cruise I used my DVC points. I am almost certain I will want to go again next year but I am thinking I would rather pay cash next time.

Does anyone happen to have the cash prices for our cruise? I am trying to get an idea of how much I would need to save.

For this cruise we are in a Cat 7 which although we are 1A 2C we had to book it as a 2A 1 C with the points and all.

If anyone can provide me at least a general idea of what the cash price is for the rooms. Does not have to be a Cat 7 price. Anything at this point would be helpful.

Thanks! Lisa

I just logged into the DCL site, but when I look at my reservation it doesn't tell me how much I paid. Sandi and I have a category 5 cabin but I can't remember how much we paid.

We are in a Cat 7 and split it cash/points. It was 162 points for one and $1084 cash for the other. Just so you know even when paying cash you'll be charged as 2A 1C because the first two people in the room are charged at the adult rate regardless of age.

Good morning everyone - happy Saturday!

I participated in a few of the Biggest Loser challenges over on WISH. They were quite fun and did help get me a little motivated. Right now the Wii is the best I can do. That and I'm going to start doing some of my Walk Away The Pounds videos. Anything to get moving! Congrats to all of you losing weight and getting healthier!

Good morning all, I am still wating for DD family to arrive, they did not come in last night, since DSL worked so late yesterday. They hit the road this morning, and I promised them breakfast when they arrive. I am sure they will need to make a few stops with the little ones, before they get here.:cool1:

Good Morning!

Thank you to all that responded with the cruise information. That is very helpful. I appreciate it.

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day and I worked outside all day. My body aches from all the hard work.

It is raining today and I am off to a funeral. The funerals I attend always seem to be in the rain or snow. :confused3

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Lisa

Oh and thank you for the words of encouragement on the weight loss. My goal for this challenge is 20 pounds. I broke my long term goal into smaller ones. I do not think it is realistic that I will make my long term goal by the cruise date but I am hoping to at least get through two of my short goals. As long as I start :yay: and keep eating right.

Ok, while I am waiting lets talk a little about the cruise...;)

What are some of the things I will not want to miss? This is my first DCL trip. And first SS member cruise.

Has anyone had the massage in the cabana @ castaway Cay?

Tell me more ...Tell me more:flower3:

Good Saturday Morning! It is going to be a great day because it is sunny outside and supposed to be in the 60's! :cool1::woohoo::banana:

Lisa and Mary thanks for letting me know what the wish thing is. Me and DH will just keep walking after work for now. I need to get motivated and start doing something. (Besides eat!) :rotfl2:

Dianne: what to do on the cruise, what not to do on the cruise. There are so many options it's crazy! We have never done the massage in a Cabanna, but we did do a couples massage on the ship once and OMG, can you say HEAVEN!!!!!!! We did the hot rock massage. When I came out of there I was a limp noodle. It was really nice. I like to do the galley tour when it is offered. And the different tastings, wine, martinis, beer, etc. :dance3: Plus, I love to sit around the Quite Cove Pool and do nothing! People watching is always fun too. :rolleyes1

Have a good one! :flower3:

Heres a little dust to help you find a jobpixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Good luck on the work outs...its great they are still taking care of you.:banana:

I need to do a steady nightly work out on the Wii since I have to quit Curves...it just will not fit my schedule anymore.

Thanks for the pixie dust for the job search. I need all the help I can get at this point!

Oh, I've done the cabana massage and the private spa villa on the ship. There are so many great spa treatments to choose from.

I've got some pictures of both that I can share with you, but it'll have to wait until a little later.

I need to get Courtney to a birthday party in a few minutes and then I have a baby shower to get to. It's a busy day today! But I'll make sure I post some pictures and details of the treatments I've done so you can see all the fun stuff you're in store for!

We've done both the couples massage on the ship and in the cabana's on CC. We prefer the cabana massage. The room is big and open and you can feel the gentle breeze. Heaven on earth. I don't know if I would do it on a cruise with only one CC day but with 2 stops it is worth it.

As to what to do there are links to the navigators from past cruises (sorry we didn't get 2008 up) that will give you some ideas.

There are regular DCL things like the wine tasting, galley tour, etc. In addition DVC usually does lots of special events. We love the special DVC ones and usually always make time for them.

One thing to keep in mind when doing excursions is that DVC will do a huge group photo on the second CC day. Usually at 10:30. So if you want to part of that don't book an excursion at that time.

Hope this helps.

It'll be a real challenge for those who are taking their first cruise. We did the cabana massage once; DH loved it and I discovered I'm not a massage enthusiast (not Disney-specific, it's just a "me" thing). But, like Mary said, it is so totally cool to be in the cabana w/the gentle breezes flowing around you. Yeah, that part I loved.

I think we're going to concentrate on the DVC events since we've been lucky enough to do a lot of the regular cruise things (wine tasting, cooking class, bingo, etc). Wow, just thinking about it makes me wish we were going sooner (big sigh).

Things to do on a cruise, lets see.

I like Chris love to people watch. I sit by the Adult pool to and also on the top deck and watch.

I also like to sit on the lounge chairs that are right out side Cafe Cove. They are facing the water. I take my book, put my i pod on and read. I usualy get a tea trom the cove to.

Take care

Does any one have any plans for today?

Dianne - Hope the family made it safe and sound.

Me and my DS went and got are hair cut today. I got about 4 inches cut off. Time for a change.

Not doing much of any thing else.

I do have a question. Does any one belong to Cosco? How does it compare to Sam's?

take care
