EPCOT. . . Not - Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow. . . .but. . . . .

Employees's Payday Comes on Thursday!!! :lmao:

I've heard of that one. :rotfl: I've also heard

Every Person Comes Out Tired! I can believe that one!

Those are both good...

Well Happy Saturday here, its going to be intermitent showers off and on all day.

For any one that has cruised in September or been on the Member Cruise how is the weather? By this I mean what kind of clothes. Do we need shorts? A light jacket? Sweatshirt? Etc. Just wondering.

Thanks

Good Saturday Morning.

Supposed to be partly cloudy and 80 here today :woohoo:. Need to get some sun on these white old legs before we leave for Florida. I burn really easy too. So, we are going to hang around the pool this afternoon.

Have a great day!:flower3:

Hi all..

Hope you are all well. We I am getting ready to fly out to WDW ... for a much needed vacation.

As most of you know my son has been working at the WAVE in the Contemporary in the College Program. He is finishing up so we are flying down spending a few weeks on vacation then driving back.

My father in law died just as we dropped my son off in Feb. so it was a Real brief trip. My Mother in Law called me last Sunday and told me she wanted to go with us, so Mom is coming along. Nervously excited ,, as she is 86 and her health is touch and go. The last time she went to Disney was in 1971 and she tells me all the time that they ran out of food!

My sister in law coming as well along with my other son, So we have quite the group.

All are flying back except for my wife and I , we are taking a few days for the drive back to CT.

I will say HI to Mickey for you all.

I am still wanting that Big Fig from the Member Cruise if anyone wants to part with it let me know.

See ya real soon!

... Beastly

I rented her a scooter for the week so if she doesn't run anybody over it should be ok.

Good morning everyone - happy Sunday!

Bruce - enjoy your trip! Have a great time and a safe trip home.

Flo - we've never needed jackets for the FL portion of our September trips. Since we drive down and could be leaving or returning in cooler weather we usually take our light DVC jackets but leave them in the car for the cruise. It has been shorts or swimsuits for us during the day.

Flo, it is a good idea to bring a combination. The weather can go either way. Castaway Key could be quite hot especially for Northern folks. Onboard, it could be windy thus a jacket is nice. I have a Disney sweat shirt just for those times.

I am not sure if we had a formal night on this cruise. That is a good question. My DW is at work so I can not check.

I called Disney Cruise Line about transportation to the port from Orlando airport, I am shocked, $69/person.

There are several hotels near the port which offer transportation to the cruise terminal but I have no idea how one would get from the airport to them. Technically they are in Cape Canaveral.

Enjoy your Sunday,
smillingjack

Good Sunday Morning. :)

Bruce - have a wonderful time at WDW. We are right behind you for our upcoming trip there.

Flo - we always take a variety. Being from the midwest I always like to be prepared for anything. But, if you don't take a jacket and are cold, well, a trip to the gift shop is always available. :rolleyes1. I've done that too! ;)

16 weeks looks good Mary! I'm ready.

Morning Everyone!

Have a great Sunday!

Bruce: Have a great trip. Safe travles. Thanks for saying hi to Micky for us.

Thanks everyone for the answer on the clothes that will be needed for the trip. At least I have an idea. We have never been that way in September. We have always gone in the summer.

Chris - You are right about being from the midwest. I to always being a jacket. But when we did the cruise out of LA a jacket was not enought I had to buy a sweatshirt.

Jack - 69.00 one way for transport per person? Wow I may have to re think the trip back to the airport. I thought it was round trip. It is almost better to get a limo.

I love the count down. :woohoo: It gets better and better looking. :yay: I can't wait to log on on a Sunday morning to see it. Thanks Mary. :)

Take care

Jack,

I just called DVC to find out about the 69.00. They told me that it was 69.00 per person round trip from the airport to port and reverse. For us from Boardwalk to port and port to airport it was 70.00 round trip per person.

I don’t think the person you talked to know what they were talking about.

We have to make are reservation through DVC since are using points.

Hope this helps!

If they told me the same thing they told you I was going to make limo reservations because that would be cheaper.

Take care

Just spending a lazy day at home on this nice long weekend. Went and saw Night at the Museum 2 this afternoon. Fun movie!

While I was out sick my co-workers had sent a number of gift cards. One of them was $25 to AMC theatres. Well the early show here is $5 so we've seen both Star Trek and Night at the Museum using the card. Still have $5 on it for when we go see UP!

Watching in the Indy 500 right now and we'll watch the Coca-Cola 600 tonight.

Flo, the transportation cost is round trip from what I was told by the DCL person.

Well good news !

Just spoke with Florida Town car and they provide transportation to/from Orlando and Sandford Airports for $100/trip. They can carry 5 passengers in the car. Thus it is cheaper. Their telephone number is 1-800-525-7246 or visit **************.com.

I received the name of this company from the Raddison Hotel at Cape Canaveral.

There is also Mears Bus service. They have been providing transportation in the Orlando/Cape Canaveral area for many years. Actually I believe they compete directly with Disney.

The person at Florida town car said they meet your flight at baggage claim, and are waving one of those all to familiar signs with your name on it.

Good luck

I hope everyone is enjoying there Memorial Day Weekend. We had a BBQ yesterday and some friends stayed over and some more are coming today. We also occasionally see and hear some planes flying over our house since there is an air show at the naval base this weekend.

Question of the Day - DVC

Here's a question for today. Since we are all DVC members it should be easy for everyone to answer.

What is your most magical DVC moment?

My magical DVC moment has to be our first and only stay thus far. It was a semi-family reunion. It was great to have everyone there with us.

Question of the Day:

What is your favorite theme park Disney or Non Disney and why?

My favorite Disney park is Epcot. Both DH & I love to explore the WS. My favorite non-theme park is Six Flags in NJ though I haven't been there in such a long time. I used to love going there every summer when I was younger.

Jack - the *** in your post means that website has been filtered by the DIS.

As for Mears I could be wrong but I believe that both the Magical Express buses and the DCL transportation buses are Mears.
