I am thinking about attending the MNSSSHP either before or after the cruise. Has anybody attended it before? If so, how was it? Wat should I expect? Does the price of the ticket include admission to the MK? I am sure it does but wanted to make sure I did not need a separate ticket.

The price for MNSSSHP does include admission to MK for the party only. So officially, you can't go into MK until 7 if you have a party ticket. However, at least the past couple of years (I have only paid attention for the past couple of years so the practice may have been going on for longer), they have been letting people with MNSSSHP tickets in from 4 PM on.

I am going to purchase a fish extender. I have looked at some but I have question, how many pockets do I need since it is DH, DS, and I?

Marsha,

I don't think the pockets matter. Mine has three and there will be just me and DH. When we have done the fish extenders on previous cruises there have some state rooms that have had one pocket when there were families. In fact one of them used a pirate chest as there fisth extender and another one used a big gulp cup and decorated it with Disney.

Hope this helps.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Just stopped by the office for a minute, so thought I'd catch up reading the last 20 pages and say hi.

Made plane reservations. My sister, Deb and her husband, Jer, fly out of Sacramento to Salt Lake and then we hook up in Salt Lake and fly to Orlando together on Friday night Sept. 11. Arrive around 11 p.m. Yesterday I booked a studio at OKW for Fri and Sat nights.

I got the condo, my BIL is renting the car.

After the cruise, BIL rents the car again and then I made reservations in the one bedroom, Savannah view at AKL. Since my BIL has never been anywhere, I am sure he will be amazingly surprised at how nice our accomodations are, and the fact that he can watch the wildlife out from our deck.

He keeps saying "what in the world am I going to do 4 days on a cruise ship, I think I'll be pretty bored." My sister keeps telling him that he will not have any free time, it is go, go, go. He is an architect, so I think just walking the ship will have him intrigued for hours on end.

Okay, I'm off to run more errands.

Oh-

favorite ride-Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story Mania

favorite DVC memory-going to Disneyland Hong Kong and being on main street all by ourselves and opening the park with no one else there!

and my favorite thing to do at the parks---people watching (just had to add that in).

Can't wait for 16 weeks to pass.

Oh, one more thing-

Donny (as in Osmond) is doing a benefit concert tonight up in Logan, Utah for Utah State University. Just found out about it yesterday. He is bringing his whole band from the Las Vegas show and doing his part of the Las Vegas show. Marie will not be there. My girlfriend and I are heading up tonight, if I get a chance to ask him, I'm going to see why he keeps telling DVC no, that he can't do the cruise. I would love to see him perform on the ship.

Okay, I'm out!

MNSSHP is awesome. better, imho, than MVMCP (especially since they changed the MVMCP parade.

MNSSHP parade is, again imho, best on property now that Tapestry is gone.

it is with regret that i must leave this thread. i'm unsubscribing. i've had some things in my life come up that demand my full attention (and then some) and i really need to focus on those things. when i come on the dis, if i see there are new messages, i feel like I MUST check what they are. so by unsubbing, i won't even be tempted to do that.

i want to know it's nothing that anyone did or said here. and also say that we ARE still cruising and will be around to say hi to as we run into each other on the ship.

I also ask with sorrow that if you are my friend on facebook, could you please go in and de-friend me (Karen Faloon Patrick). i would defriend you, but i can't remember your "real" names. LOL.

I pray that none of you are hurt by these requests. Just a lot of crazy, unplanned stuff has fallen in my lap recently and my focus needs to be on God first and my family second.

Thanks. (no need to respond as I'm unsubbing as soon as I hit send)

Thank you Robbie & Flo.

Just got back from seeing Night at the Museum 2 and I must say Hank Azaria made that movie just as good as the first.

I haven't been keeping up with you all, but I hope everyone had a great Memorial Weekend. Don't forget to give thanks for all the service men and women, and if you see one while your'e out, thank them.

Mary, your countdown is looking better and better.

DH says thanks for the Birthday Wishes. He said that is very nice of you all.

Marsha - we have been to MNSSHP for the last three years and love it. The first year we went was the best, but we have enjoyed the last two years as well. You get lots of candy and it isn't cold and rainy like it is here when the kids trick or treat. Like Robbie said, your ticket includes the MK and if that is the only ticket you have you can get in as early as 4. The parade is the best one they have, IMHO. Plus, everyone gets to trick or treat, not just the kids. Just a kid a heart here, for 40 something parents! :rotfl: Plus, the crowds are way down and you can ride almost anything without a wait.

We have been debating whether to go or not since we won't have the kids. We probably won't go this time, just out of guilt, but ya never know. If you decide to go have fun!

We saw night at the museum this afternoon too. Yes it was very good. :goodvibes

Hello All!

It's been a while since I last posted. So much going on.

We had a Memorial Day Parade last Saturday in town and both kids participated. DS with the Scouts and DD with her TBall team. The scouts get to assist the VFW reps with the wreath presentations at our memorial after the parade. DD loves to participate.

DD got his cast off a few weeks back and has been wearing a brace during any type of activities. It's hard for him at bat during his baseball games with the brace but at least he is getting to play a little bit. Not as much as he would like though.

I had 9 yards of mulch delivered last week and finally got to start working with it this weekend. Still have a long way to go. I may get done by the cruise.:rotfl:

The kids and I are signed up for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in our town on June 5-6. If anyone is interested in donating or getting a Luminaria on someone's behalf, please let me know. I can send the details in a PM.

As for the QOTDs:
Favorite Disney Ride - Toy Story Mania & Soarin (Me), Rockin Roller Coaster & Space Mountain (DS), Toy Story Mania & It's a Small World (DD)

Favorite Theme Park - Epcot (Me), Hollywood Studios (DS), Magic Kingdom (DD)

DVC Memory - First DVC Trip with Parents, Sister's Family, Grandparents, and Aunt & Uncle.

We have attended the MNSSHP on a couple of occasions. We enjoy it.The last time we attended, the entire family dressed as characters from Peter Pan. There was Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, the Crocodile, Wendy, Michael, John, Princess Tiger Lily, and an Indian. It was a great time!

We have tickets for the MNSSHP on 9/18 this year.

I really wish the date for the Member Cruise was during the Food & Wine Festival. I love attending Epcot during the Food & Wine. We would be able to do the cruise, Food & Wine, and the MNSSHP all during the same trip. Wishful thinking on my part. Maybe next year they will make the cruise later.

Well, hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day Holiday.

Have a GREAT week!

Morning Everyone!

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday!

Back to work for me today. Hopefully it won't be too bad a week. For some reason short weeks seem to feel like they last longer than a normal week. :lmao:

I did get my closet turned over this weekend. Packed up all the Fall/Winter stuff into space bag cubes and cleaned and brought up all the Spring/Summer stuff. Mark also did a lot of yard work. We still had time to enjoy ourselves with some shopping, going to see Night at the Museum 2, and watching both the Indy 500 and the Coke 600.

Have a great day everyone!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Good Tuesday Morning! :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes Mary and Flo!

I, too, wish that the cruise would have been a little later so that we would be able to attend Food & Wine at EPCOT. We love that and are really bummed that we will miss it this year.

Have a great day! :flower3:

Hope everyone is well. We've been up and down with my mom's health (she got a pacemaker two weeks ago) but on the bright side Rheya is doing really well! She'll be 2 on Sat. and Ahja just turned 13 last Sat. (pray for me...lol).

So...less than 4 mo. to go....I know you all are very excited. We are getting excited about our 3 day cruise in Aug (on my bday...:goodvibes ) but not as excited as we would be getting if we were going on the Members Only. Not to many active board goers for that cruise :confused3 But hey...more Konk Koolers for me.

Well I just wanted to pop in and say hey. Take Care!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRIS!

I just wanted to let all those who enjoy Toy Story Mania that the Wii is coming out with a Toy Story Mania game. That should be fun!

Hey Marsha, just make sure that your FE isn't too wide (I think 8 inches or so) otherwise it won't fit in the space.
