09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #2

Haven't seen anything about this for a while, but are we still meeting in the Promenade at 3PM on Sunday?????

Is anyone getting together on Saturday at WDW anywhere??????

Tim and Mary

Yes we are still having our DIS meet at 3 p.m. Did you post your stateroom #?

I'm PACKED!!!!!!:banana::banana: Except, of course, for the last minute toiletries. Now DH needs to get packed...he'll probably pack Friday night! I still have to put together the clothes for the kids so my sister doesn't have to worry about it. But I'll have to wait until closer to Friday to do that so I know what the weather is going to be like.

Yay to everyone else who also packed today. See we all just need more long weekends to be productive!;)

Ian, yep Erik and I can't wait for brunch. We were lucky enough to do both brunch and dinner on our honeymoon cruise and loved them pretty equally. Plus it will be nice to have familiar company.

OK, so I'm bad at doing the quoting thing, but for the person that asked. I believe there were two gas pumps and I think at least one of them was just off the walkway between the ship and the tram station. That's if I remember correctly, but it was almost 2 years ago and our only trip there so I could be slightly off. I do know it wasn't too far off the beaten path. And we only went from ship to tram to Serenity bay tram, to the Serenity bay beach, then back on the tram to eat and shop at the family area and back to the ship. Sooooooo it should be somewhere on those travels for sure. HTH, sorry I can be a bit memory challenged at times.

How about this one...

Do you think Ducky will be on the ship this year? He has been on it alot.:)

Help!! :sad2:My son just had emergency surgery on Friday and can only wear lose fitting clothing around his waist. Does anyone know if they allow kids to wear shorts to the dinners? He is already bummed that he can't swim at all:sad1:

good morning :goodvibes

Started at 5am today. I am tired but excited that I am 1 day closer to a vacation. :thumbsup2

Thursday is another early 5am start but thats ok because it gives me all day to pack because I leave Friday morning. :cheer2:

:love:Love the photos.

I hope he is OK!!! In the Birnbaum's DCL guide it specifically states that for children 13 and under parents should make determinations about what children wear for dinner to be sure they are comfortable. Don't know how old he is but it seems that they would be more flexible with kids.

Good Morning all!!! I am planning to try to get as much packing finished as I can today as well as DDs costume.....I have to work this afternoon and then the rest of the week....probably will be nuts trying to be sure all is done before I go.

Saturday we have to deliver our fur baby to DMIL and FIL who he will be vacationing with....they let him eat PEOPLE FOOD!!!!:dogdance:

Sorry that your son had to have surgery. DCL is pretty understanding. I am sure he will be able to wear shorts to dinner. Call DCL, explain the situation, and ask if it is ok.

I know about early mornings. I have been waking up around 3:30-4:00 am and just lay in bed until the alarm goes off at 5:30 for about two weeks now. Ughhhh, I wish I could sleep through the night. But only three more toss and turns until we leave. :rotfl2:

I am sure he will be allowed to wear shorts to dinner. I have seen people dressed extremely casual to dinner, even on formal night. But, like others have said, just call DCL ahead of time and let them know it's doctors orders. The servers may have a nice surprise for him, too (knowing he is recovering from surgery...maybe they'll bring him a "get well soon cake") I hope he's ok and off to a good, quick recovery.

I hope Ducky will be there. He has some great stories to tell. Last members cruise...I won the Pinocchio picture he drew. I was so excited about that. I have the drawing framed and hanging in our family room.

Debbie - if we get those little suitcases I will try to find you because I would rather give them to you than leave them behind.

And I'm sorry if I have offended anyone by saying we don't take stuff with us. We have always taken everything we have received except those little suitcases. We are very appreciative of everything we have received and use many of the items we have received in the past. The throws we received, the duffel bags, the license plate covers, water bottles. . . . So again, I'm sorry and don't mean to sound ungrateful. :sad1:

Chris - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! :dance3:

And, I wasn't offended at all by you saying you don't take stuff with you. If I had gotten the same gift two or three times in a row, I think I'd start leaving them behind, too! I've read on other threads that other people actually had to leave things behind because they didn't have enough room. So, you're not alone! :goodvibes
