THanks everyone for the fun time on here today. Now we are getting winds and storms are coming in. It was cool here today so no pool time but we did sit out by it for most of the day.

I have been thinking about a Kindle also - I was looking between that and the ipad only because I like toys - DH laughs at me because he was always the one who has to have gadgets. Well one of my coworkers has the ipad and it is COOL!!! Out of my league though....so since I have recently become sucked into books again I am thinking about getting one...I am definately getting DH one for his bday...sounds like the Kindle is better?????

I did some more packing ...I have sooo much more to do. I am trying not to over pack..but I am not doing very well in that department!! It was chilly here today - sunny but cool. Off to research ereaders some more!!!

Hi...I will be bringing my kindle on the cruise. I take it with me whenever we travel. I just love it. I don't miss having hardcover or paperback books. You are more than welcome to come and look at it. Go to amazon.com. They have 2 of them ... one is $139.00 with wi-fi and the other is $189.00 with 3G wi-fi.

There was a discussion on the budget board not too long ago about the Kindle vs Nook vs iPad vs Sony. Most people said they liked the Nook. I believe on the Nook you can check out and download books from your local library which saved them a bundle instead of purchasing books. I heard that the iPad was back lit so it can cause eye strain after a while and was not at all easy to read out doors due to glare. I am toying between a Kindle or Nook.

You can sit outside in the sun and easily read the Kindle. I have no complaints. I just love it. I never researched the Nook or Sony's ereader. I don't know anything about them.

Good Morning all!!! Today we are having brunch for my DStepmom's bday and then we are going to the DISNEY STORE!!!!! It is 1 1/2 hours away but I NEED to go!!! DD6 wants to be Pocohantas for MHSSHP so it gave me an excuse to go.

I also got our supplies of Dramamine, Seabands and Ginger pills - I'm a little nervous but I think the excitement of being on a cruise and meeting everyone is helping keep me fom going too crazy!!!

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you all are having a good Labor Day. We are not doing much around here today except making sure the girls get there stuff around ready to go. We only have four more sleeps until we leave!

Just heard about the hurricane in the gulf that is gonna hit Texas tomorrow. That is not good as my MIL is planning on flying in from the southern tip of Texas tomorrow. Hope she is able to make it.

EVERYTHING IS CLOSED UP HERE ON LABOUR DAY, IF I WANT ANYTHING I MUST CROSS THE DITCH OR GO TO TOURIST AREA OF NIAGARA FALLS. LAURA WORKS BEING A NURSE IN A HOSPITAL UP HERE SHE GETS CALLS EVERYDAY TO WORK. CANT WAIT UNTIL SHE CAN RETIRE!!! BUT WITH A DAUGHTER NOW LIVING IN TORONTO GOING BACK TO COLLEGE AFTER 4 YEARS OF UNIVERSITY THERE ARE MAJOR EXPENSES. I THINK DD THINKS WE HAVE A MONEY TREE OH WELL SHE MOVES OUT THIS WEEK
