Since we were talking about snacks, I thought I would post these tips regarding room service. As always, feel free to add to them.

ROOM SERVICE
1. Room service is available 24 hours a day except the last morning and it ends early the night before the last day.

2. Order the cheese tray from room service (as well as the Mickey bars, which aren't listed on the menu but ARE available!)

3. Room service cake of the day! That was a real treat!

4. Order a cheese plate from room service. It is free.

5. Order some cookies from room service and bring them to the shows.

6. If you do not see something on the room service menu, do not hesitate to ask. Most of the time, you are able to order Mickey bars & rice krispies treats. Some have also ordered chicken noodle soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, PB&J uncrustables (ask the CM not to microwave them), etc.

7. Order room service coffee the night before. It stays hot in the carafe and is ready when you wake up. Or, place the menu hanger on your door handle which includes the time you want your coffee/breakfast items delivered. Order coffee from room service the night before your last day. Have it delivered around 10 & 11 p.m. When you wake up, you can have a fresh, hot pot of coffee.

8. Ask to have a pot of coffee, some cereal and juice for the kids to be delivered to your room between 7:00 and 7:30 each day. You can have coffee as soon as you wake up without having to go and get it and the kids had something to munch on while getting ready to go have "real" breakfast.

9. Use room service for your daily wake-up call (except for disembarkation day!). Some report that room service will call about a ½ hour before delivering your items.

10. Take an envelope full of $1or $2 bills for room service and put it in the drawer by the door and reach in it when room service arrives. Some people tip $1-$2 per item for small orders or $3-$5 per order from room service. It is a personal decision so it is up to you.


11. Sodas & water are not free from room service so go to the beverage station and place your drinks in the cooler. Get you drinks from the beverage station the night before and place them in your cooler so you will not have to run up to the beverage station in the morning.

BLT with the rest of the gang to take over the TOTWL with pirates

I have dinner reservations at Le Cellier at 7:25 Thursday night...I've been calling every day to see if I can get it switched to a little bit earlier. No such luck yet. I want to be able to make it back to BLT to join the party and watch the fireworks. Hopefully we'll make it for the fireworks...if not we'll be there shortly after. And we'll be able to watch the fireworks the next night since our dinner reservations are at Chef Mickeys (7:30, though).

Speaking of "BLT"...my sister in law that just had the baby a month ago...those are his initials.

I second the thanks and the NEED for coffee!!! Breakfast question - I know the dinners are on the rotation thing - how do breakfast and lunch work?
