Chris - the deck is really coming along. The decking is almost all down - we ran out last night - hence DHs trip to Lowes!!! The plan today is to do the stairs and finish the deck boards - if the rain allows - the sides and finish work will be all that is left!!! I have been thanking God for my Dad being able to work the way he has. We have had 3 good days in a row - 4-5 hrs each day - that is a lot for him- but he seems so happy building again!!!:)

Marsha - the packing tips continue to reinforce my NEED for my OL!!!! All of those things are in there!!!

NOTE TO SELF!!!! e-mail John at OL about MCO delivery!!!

Glad to hear the deck is coming along so fast. It will be so great when it is all done. Parents rock when it comes to helping out around your house. I know both my dad and my DFIL helped with our pool deck. Without them, it would have taken a lot longer to do (our deck around the pool is cement).

You said it about OL. We just love ours. In fact we are going for locker #2 when we get to BLT. The one we have now is so jammed full and heavy, I mean heavy, that we think we better distribute the weight a little more (and we can leave more stuff! :thumbsup2) . But we leave water, alcohol, laundry detergent, etc in our OL. Plus, with the cups like what Marsha was talking about, we have purchased some insulated Mickey mugs that we leave in it so we can have them while we are down there for pop and beer and stuff. Also, since they aren't glass we take them to the pool with us. This will be the first time we have taken our OL on a cruise so it is exciting to have it with us.

OK - OL is scheduled for delivery to the MCO courtyard - where is this - the other choice was the Marriott - I put a note in the special notes but thought someone might know. Also having our stroller delivered to BLT for the 16-19th!!! for only $26!!!! MagicStollers are the BEST!!!! I read that a stroller on the ship is difficult to manuver - should I bring one or not - didn't plan to - DD3 will walk just obviously little legs:lovestruc!!!

I am not sure where MCO courtyard.

As for the stroller, I do not think you will need one on the cruise. When DS went last year, he was 29 months and did not need one. He walked everywhere and was fine. But, you can bring an umbrella stroller. I think they would work best since they fold up small. The elevators on the ship are small and narrow.

wow, i was off for a few days and look so much stuff to get caught up on.

Haircolor, swimsuite issues, storage lockers, and Marsha's great tips, people who haven't been on in a very very long time. so much so little time...

Oh didn't forget the rum

77 bottles of rum on the wall, take one down pass it around, 77 bottles of
rum on the wall :rotfl:

Ok I too have gotten the packing bug, I am making my list and gonna check it twice ,,, then start putting some stuff in the suitecases, but i must make sure it is check off the list, less worry..

hmmm can miss a bottle, 75 bottles of rum on the wall, take one down, pass
it around, 75 bottles of rum on the wall:rolleyes:

Wow I missed a lot in the last couple days! Hehe I just ordered some new bathing suit supplies as well but have to see how they fit. My mom actually found a pair of bottoms at Walmart last week for $16. They are super cute too bad she hasn't found a top yet though :).

I know we won't be packing for some time. We have a trip to San Francisco and then about 48 hrs in DL next month so I have to use the suit cases for that first. :cool1: Yes it's official I have managed to get Erik to DL every time I step foot in CA. My theory being if I'm flying across country no matter how big the state of CA is it's still way closer then our house.:lmao:

But once we get back I'll probably start thinking of things we'll need. I love the tips so far Marsha - I like the pack a full suitcase in an empty one - not only do you get an extra case that way but more protection for your suitcase on the way down. I'm always worried that one of our case will arrived busted - to much experience with that at the Philly airport.

Congrats Terrie and Marsha on the :bride: and pirate:!

74 bottles of rum on the wall, 74 bottles of rum, take one down pass it around...

Where was Debbie during all this fast typing?

I think Ian will be back Thursday or Friday.

The next milestone will be 2:bride:s or 2pirate:s. Will we be able to get to them before Ian returns? Will we be able to close down this thread before his return? We shall see...

I was at home treating DD for LICE! Two summers in a row she's gone to the YMCA and both summers she's gotten infested with LICE! I'm done with the YMCA, but sadly the other daycares cost THREE TIMES as much! That's why I switched from the other daycare. My kids have been in daycare since they were each six weeks old, never any problems until the YMCA!

Mornin' :hippie:

You guys went crazy last night drinking the rum!!!! :rotfl: Hope you all don't have a headache this morning. :rotfl2:

Congrats Marsha and Terrie on getting the pirate: and :bride:

Nikki - how is the deck coming?

Terrie - I hear ya about swimming suits. They are a pain in the hiney to try to find one. Earlier this year I got a new top and the strap has broke already. I really liked it so I don't know what I'm gonna do. Right now it has a saftey pin holding the strap up. Ughhhhhh at the thought of looking for another.

84 bottles of rum on the wall! :flower3:

Do you have a seamstress anywhere nearby? We have one in our mall. I bet that would be an easy fix for a seamstress. Maybe?!

Umbrella strollers are handy on the ship and I never had any problems with them. You don't really need it ON the ship, but it's nice to take onto CC.

Yay, tomorrow is Wednesday! The week is almost halfway over!!

Sorry to hear about DD getting head lice. I would be  too if it kept happening. That is a shame. Is the Y aware of the problem? I guess you can keep a little more oil in her hair but I am sure she would not like that. I feel your pain about the cost of daycare. OUCH!

Thank you! Disney Land sounds great! I agree if your in California anyhow then might as well go :thumbsup2 We won't be going until the D23 event next year. I don't have many issues with finding bottoms of swimsuits it's the tops that are a PIA. The first store I went to the sales lady was trying to help and saw that I was only getting tops to try on. I had about 10 or so. She suggested that I bring in the matching bottoms  I told her we'd be lucky if ONE of those tops fit and I worry about a matching bottom once I found a top that fit. She didn't seem to believe me. Not one fit as we already know  I'll wind up packig the night before :rolleyes1

Oh so sorry to hear about the lice  how frustrating. YAY for Wednesday!

70 bottles of rum on the wall...

Oh, Debbie. That is too bad about the lice. I totally sympathize. My girls have both had it a couple of times. And let me tell you it sucks big time!!! Especially since my oldest has hair down to her waist. Good luck with getting rid of it.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but Olive Oil in the hair and a plastic shower cap over the hair over night will pretty much kill them. My daughters had them a couple of school years in a row contracted from a not so clean fellow student on the school bus. It was a mess but the Olive Oil works. :sad2:

Are you serious????? Man, all that money I spent on Rid, or whatever it was called, all those years ago. Especially when it took like a month to get rid of it. :scared1: I hope it never happens again here, but if it does I'm gonna have to remember that and give it a try. I would try just about anything to get rid of lice. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks! I am open to any and all suggestions!! I DON'T want to deal with this again!!! Yes, the Y is aware, they're the ones that called me. After they found out two siblings had it they checked the rest of the kids and called the parents. That's a whole other bone I have to pick with them, too! They pulled my OLD records and called my OLD work number!!!! I'm about ready to call the director of the YMCA I've had soooo many issues with them this year!

OMG! I couldn't imagine trying to get it out of hair down the the waist! Her hair was almost that long last year and we had my sister in law come over and cut it when we had to treat it. It's easier to treat on boys...just give them a buzz cut! LOL

COOL! Thanks for the info...DH is going to see if he can get one.

Thank you for the suggestion. I guess this case originated from a couple of kids at the YMCA. (siblings) The parents took them out for a few days and when they came back a camp counselor asked where they had been. The parents neglected to inform the YMCA that the kids had lice! DUH!!!! That was the first call I made last year when DD had it...I wanted to make sure they knew it was going around. (They DIDN'T know and several kids had it) It was probably the same kids that spread it last year!! I KNOW my DD wasn't the one spreading it because the rest of us in our house would have had it too since she falls asleep in our bed several nights a week. This time she ONLY had the eggs, no live bugs, so it was much easier to treat. Last year it took hundreds of dollars and two weeks. I was up till midnight for a week straight washing all of the bedding, shampooing our furniture (because she sleeps on the couch sometimes too), washing ALL blankets (we like to hang out in the living room and watch movies and we all have our personalized Disney blankets, so those had to be washed). It was such a major headache!! I don't understand how people can live that unsanitary that bugs start to grow in their hair! EEEEWWWW!!!

Ok...enough of that subject!!!!! I'm grossing myself out!

Hello All! Are we going to try to make a run for the double :bride: & pirate: tonight? :)

I'm too tired to stay up, I hope you guys wait till tomorrow night!! (Please?! I want in on the fun this time, I missed the last two)

I second that!! We spent hundreds of dollars last year. And that was two weeks before vacation!!!

Hope everyone had a great night! We went to the water park and then came home and I made DH comb through DD's hair tonight. She should be ok to return to the YMCA tomorrow. Then I'll probably start putting oil in her hair the rest of the summer just to avoid the stupid bugs!!

66 bottles of rum on the wall....66 bottles of rum. Take one down and pass it around......
