Hehe, well I was at work early today so I knew I'd miss out on the and between last night and this morning.

Sierra is so pretty - I have a soft spot for labs. I've grown up around them though I currently don't have one. Erik's dog, who is now our dog, won't share his house with other puppies. But I pretend my dad's lab is mine on a regular basis. Since she gets most excited when I walk in the door then anyone else and I'm the only person she barks for - in an excited way not mean the dog doesn't have a mean bone in her body - I think it's fair to claim her now and then.

Terrie your Goldens are sooo pretty and I know with all that fur it's got to be a job and a half to keep them looking so nice!

Way to go Ian and Michael. I knew they would be had while I was at work. And Ian I don't know why my light was still green because I was off when you all did that. Busily working so I can go to Disney all the time.

Thought I'd share something that made me laugh just now. I have always been an avid reader, DH not so much, until more recently that is. I got him to read the Harry Potter series, the Twilight saga and some Stepehn King. Not to long ago DH actually suggested he might be interested in checking out The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series since the main character is a hacker and he is into computers. I thought cool for once I am not suggesting he read something and I was planning on reading those books anyhow. So we both started reading it and Wally actually blew right through the first book before me. That is a first. He is halfway into the second book. I thought he'd be delighted over how much I am enjoying the story so I told him I am almost at the end of the first book. He responded with the utmost despair, "NOOOOOOOOOOO, put it down, stop reading it, go watch tv or get on the DISboards or something!" Despite the sheer misery in his voice I found this very funny so I started cracking up and asked him what the heck that was all about He said he knew if I finished the book I'd steal the second one from him and not let him finish it I've created a monster

On that note, is anyone reading anything really good this summer? I know I will finish these three books before the cruise and the other series I am reading as well. I've usually got two or three books I am reading going on. I'd like to bring some good books to read while on board. The other series I am reading is Laurell K. Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series. Really great author especially if you like fanatsy novels. Fair warning, it is a very, ahem, adult oriented series

Terrie your Goldens are sooo pretty and I know with all that fur it's got to be a job and a half to keep them looking so nice!

Thank you! Yes, it is a lot of work even with just a couple to keep in show coat. Ophelia is shaved down as is Kitty Kat since both are retired from showing. Disney the old man comes out to big specialty shows in the veteran's class a couple of times a year so I haven't shaved him down. I have a ten month old, Drama, that I need to keep in good coat as hopefully she will be making her debut in another 5-6 months.

It is still horribly hot here. The tv says the heat index is 109 degrees. And it is 7:45pm. Now strong thunderstorms are breaking out across the state. Some of them severe. Hope they stay away from us.

Thanks Terrie. I hug her all the time. I think she is beautiful. And when she runs she just looks, ahhhhhhh, wonderful. But she is kind of disproportioned. I mean her head is real small compared to her neck. She wears a collar but if we put her on a leash she will slip her head right out of the collar and off the leash she goes. So we have a kennel for her outside during the day and she comes inside with us during the evening. However, today since it was, and still is, so blessed hot she goes in the garage where it is cooler for her.

WOW that is HOT! YIKES!!! Hope you don't get the thunderstorms. Maybe a bit of rain will cool things off though.

It is wonderful to watch them run. So, she has learned some Houdini tricks with her collar
