Terrie hope you have a good safe trip. Yay for getting to snuggle puppies, though I'm sorry it will be bittersweet for you.

Chris, oh that's a good idea - the mouse on the thigh plan. I bet that helps a lot. I love my wireless mouse it fits my hand so much better and it's so nice not to deal with cords. Yep - you definately need to keep those batteries on hand!

Nikki that's a lot of work yesterday. Heck just keeping up with snacks every hour quite a schedule! Good luck on the last minute prep today. Then come join us for some fun if you can keep your eyes open tonight. ;)

Terrie just curious where in GA are you going? My DD lives in Canton-she just left here [LI] Wednesday after visiting with my DGD. We broke heat records the last couple of days but she said GA is awful with the humidity that they don't even go out. ICK! Stay cool-just thinking of you.

Congratulations about the litters of puppies.
Sorry to hear about the loss of Hoochie.
Have a safe trip and wonderful weekend.
Enjoy the puppies.

Thank you! I will.

Thanks, I am sure I will. I love puppy breath!

I am going to Dahlonega. I imagine it can't be much worse then Florida with the heat and humidity. I will be indoors most of the time. Although at dusk I like to go help feed the deer :)

Terrie :)

Terrie you get to play with puppies and deer now that sounds like fun! We used to go to the mountains and go deer "hunting" with flashlights at dusk when I was little. I used to love seeing them. Now I live in a place where when I'm driving around at night I hope not to see them too close.;) Your comment about puppy breath cracked me up because I have a best friend who every time she is around kittens says the same thing about kitten breath!

It should be. My friend lives on 34 acres up there. There are deer and wild turkey which are pretty cool too. At dusk we will take the golf cart to a clearing where the deer wait amongst the trees for their evening snack.

I can't say that I have ever smelled kitten breath  I don't remember if my cat, Meeko, had it when he was a kitten. Puppies do have a very distinct scent to their breath when they are still nursing. It always makes me smile :)

The playing part and evaluating personalities and temperament is always fun. Teaching them to stand like show dogs to be evaluated for show potential takes patience

Well it's Friday Night, I assume that everyone has better things to do rather than hang out on here? :rotfl2:

I will be here off and on tonight if anyone wants to chat. :wizard:

I too will be around on and off.

Terrie - I never could smell the kitten breath but my sense of smell isn't the best. But her whole family insisted they could. As for the patience of training them to stand and behave like show dogs I guess it's the same working will all little ones no matter what species. Me trying to instill good manners on the kids I watch is one of the hardest parts of my job too. :goodvibes But I know you agree it's so worth it when they grasp what's being taught! And of course then there is the benefit of play time. Who doesn't want a job that feels more like play than work sometimes.

Wow I would love to have that much space - it's a bit hard to come by here in the Northeast. But we live rural enough that down there road we often see some wild turkey hanging around. They are pretty cool.

Wow! You guys did stay up  Congrats Ian on your :bride: and Congrats Debbie on your pirate:

Tomorrow morning I am flying up to GA to see two litters of puppies from a couple of my girls that are up that way with friends this year since I am not having any litters for 2010. The trip will be bittersweet as one of the litters is an orphaned litter. Their mom, Hoochie, wound up having an emergency c-section and we lost her :sad1: Her best friend, Dazzle, (daughter of Disney in my siggie pic) had her puppies within 12 hours after Hoochie and adopted and raised Hoochie's litter with her own :cloud9: I know my weekend will be filled with smiles because puppies always make me smile and with tears since I am still mourning Hoochie's loss. I can't really seem to grasp the reality that she won't be there when I arrive :guilty: Sigh. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Terrie

Let me just say that today I was paying for that late night last night! I was sooooo tired today!! Sorry about Hoochie....so sad!! At least there is some good with the bad and you get to play with her new puppies!

Thanks for the mouse tips. I have been trying to run the mouse down on my leg so my arm is not up on the counter and out to the side, if that makes any sense. But our cordless mouse died and we need to get new batteries for it this weekend.

I hope your shoulder is feeling better soon. Hopefully the mouse on the leg helps.

11 pages in less than a day!!!! You guys are insane!!! I briefly entertained the thought of logging on last night but....

My day yesterday included making 100 stuffed shells, making buffalo chicken dip, shoveling the last of the 3 ton of river rock we had delivered, going to Lowes to pick up MORE stuff for the yard, spreading mulch, all this with two children in between who NEED snacks every hour...finished my night at 9:15p after pressure washing the side walks...showered and collapsed in bed....until 8:30am - DH felt bad for me:love:!!!

Congrats to you all who earned pirate: &:bride:!!!

Marsha I am loving the tips - things I didn't not think of....of course how would I never cruising before!! I am sensing that maybe we will have a FEW dismeets - we also will be at BLT and the MNSSHP!!!!! We are still undecided about transportation the rental car is SOOOO much cheaper and may be better for us because we have to meet the OL guys...to rent a car from Dollar is only $20 to drive down...and it wounds like it is not complicated to get from Dollar to the Port?? I can't remember if is was Chris or Debbie who did this?? Now back to BLT does it work the same to rent a car and drive to the resort - they pick you up at the port go get the rental and off we go. We did consider doing Disney transfer this way???

More work on the horizon for today....SLOW DOWN people!!!

Have a great day!!!

HOLY COW you worked hard yesterday! Are you still able to move today? I don't think I'd be able to move one muscle in my body if I did all that work in one day.

The car rental thing...we're renting a car at the airport and driving it to the Radisson at the port and leaving it there during the cruise. I know it sounds silly, but we'll need it for Thursday, Friday and Saturday after the cruise and it's just about the same price to rent it for the whole week as it is for just the weekend and the day before the cruise. We've never done a one way rental to the port before.

We are going to do the one way rental down to the port (very easy and close to port with Dollar), then take the Disney transfer back to BLT. That way we don't have to worry about returning a car or anything. Then we will take DME back to airport Sunday. We always use the Disney Transportation while at WDW and never drive to the parks so we really don't need a car. And we just want it as simple as possible for, me, and I don't have to worry. Last year the transfer worked great going from port to the Polynesian, so we thought we would do that again this year. And we are on no time schedule or anything, so we will just go with the flow and lay low. :hippie:

Wow, you had a busy day. But the food sounds delicious. Have a nice party!

Hello! I'm around. But also watching the movie "While You Were Sleeping" with Sandra Bullock. I've seen it before but it is a good movie.

:wave2: Hi I'm here!! I was catching up since this afternoon!!

It poured down rain here...luckily I had everything done outside...we were doing the grocery shopping and mostly were inside:scared:!!!

I think we will rent and drive to the port - we fly in Sunday AM I think arriving around 11:30am and since we are at BLT we may use the transfer and take advantage of the monorail. Since we will only be there 3 days and MNSSHP is one day, we will do another MK and and EPCOT....no need for rental although it has been a while since we have been without one!!!

RAINED HERE MOST OF THE DAY. First rain in a couple weeks. I went out and did trimming while it rained didnt care i got wet, then dipped my head in the pool[/COLOR. It gets really humid here, what makes it worse here than it is in Florida we get SMOG. There are smog alerts. When you cross the Garden City Skyway bridge over Welland CANAL you can see the orange haze over TORONTO 40 miles away as the crow flies. I have ASTHMA. But it doesnt bother me in Florida.]
