I'm looking forward to....ALL OF IT!! Being back on the most beautiful ship that exists, being in a warm climate, celebrating my 40th b-day ON the cruise, getting the DVC/DCL free gifts, meeting new friends, giving up the responsibilities of parenthood for a few days, not having a care in the world, watching POTC under the starry sky in the middle of the ocean, eating at Palo, walking through the Mickey ears. I could go on and on and on...because there isn't really "one" thing I'm looking forward to, it's the WHOLE experience I'm looking forward to! ;)

Love it! As you are so right. The WHOLE experience is worth looking forward too! :goodvibes

Hi marsha!!!
I liked your photos, im assuming they were from last years member cruise. I was looking at the clouds in the background. Looked very familiar to last years nember cruise. We had those downpour bursts from those clouds in your tram photo, they hit serenity bay first but it was very hot. Some of my photos have same cloud formations. Funny depending on where you were on island it was either sunny or raining. But rain past over. The first day at cc was rough over at serenity bay we couldnt see the bottom of the water for the rough water. Second day thats when we saw the barracuda hahaha!!!!

ALL THE DISNEY CRUISES WE HAVE BEEN ON WE HAVE NEVER DONE PALO. WHEN IS THE PALO BRUNCH? DO YOU SIGN UP FOR IT AHEAD OF TIME? IT THE BRUNCH CASUAL OR DRESS UP? WE ARE LOOKING AT PRICING THE DISNEY 15 DAY REPO CRUISE JAN 6th 2011 HAS ANYONE LOOKED INTO THAT AND THE PRICES. A FRIEND OF MINE LOOKED UP PRICES. BUT I WAS WONDERING ABOUT THE DREAMS UNLIMITED TRAVEL IF THEY ARE CHEAPER. I TRIED REGISTERING BUT HAD PROBLEM. IS IT BECAUSE IM CANADIAN. THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER TO ASK HOW I GET A QUOTE.

I see people talking about signing up for activities. Where can I find out about what activities to sign up for such as jet ski, snorkeling.......

Thanks

Scott

WE SAW MORE FISH AT SERENITY BAY AT OUR SPOT WE GO TOO THAN SOME PEOPLE WERE TELLING US THEY SAW SNORKLING AROUND THE OTHER BEACH AREA. SERENITY BAY IS WIDE OPEN DOESNT HAVE THE BREAKWALL SO MANY FISH SWIM IN. WE TAKE OUR OWN MASKS. JET SKIING IS GREAT. YOU GO WAY OUT AND THEY TAKE YOU TO A SPOT WAY OUT IN THE WATER. YOU GET OFF YOUR JET SKIs AND STAND ON SHALLOW SAND BAR. IT WAS MY FIRST TIME ON ONE. I WENT AIRBORN AND CAME DOWN HARD.:rotfl2: BUT I SURVIVED.

This is our first cruise also so we have no idea what to do!!! A friend of mine said they would have LOVED two days at CC, they did the land and sea thing.

I am leaning toward not doing any excursions since this is our first cruise and we all LOVE the beach. The pictures dvc deernut and Marsha posted sitting in the chairs at the water are my happy place!!!!! Do you think we will regret not doing any of the excursions??

Those who have banished snow talk DO NOT READ BELOW THIS LINE!!!!!

We got another 12" last night :scared1::scared1: School was cancelled again yesterday and I can't get my car out of the driveway!!! DH has to work so he will be taking the 4WD and I am stuck here again!!!! I am MOVING to FL!!!!

Good Saturday Morning!

Going to be a nice day here for a change. Our high is to be around 31! :woohoo::woohoo: That is a shame that we are excited about that. But maybe some of this snow will start to go away.

We have to go pick up a half of beef that we bought. Yay, meat in the freezer again! We are happy about that. Then we have to go to the grocery store for other food. So pretty boring around here today.

Hope everyone else has an enjoyable day!

You can also look on the DCL website:

For shore excursions:
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/shore-excursions/search/

Select Castaway Cay, Bahamas as the port.

Also, you can select the ship & activitiws tab to see what spa & fitness services are offered.

Marsha - that's a MUCH better link than the one I provided!! Thanks! I'll be using that link, too! :goodvibes

If you want to see a lot of the island, you might want to rent the bikes and ride around. The excursions are fun, but if you're a beach person, I don't think you'll regret not doing any of them. AND....if you change your mind, you'll have a chance on the second day to try something. We did the banana boat (which isn't there anymore), we did parasailing, and we did a boat rental. I think they are only about 30 minutes each. So it doesn't take a whole lot of time away from your beach time.

I can't believe you got another 12" of snow!!!! I hope that's the last of it!!!

Hope everyone has a great SATURDAY!!! I'm off to go walking for my dad, the politician!! At least I'll get some exercise!

Yes, the downpours were really weird last year at CC. We had just gotten our food at Cookies and were sitting down when it started to just down pour. The DJ was being funny too by playing rainy day songs. For the life of me I can't remember what it was but something like Singing in the Rain. We just started laughing.

But, the rain didn't last long. Which was a good thing.

Yes, the photos are from last year's members cruise. It did rain when we were eating at Cookies but it was so quick. And, due to the rain, they offered a 2 for 1 drink special.

The Palo brunch is served from 10:30 to noon during the day at sea. You can make advance reservations. It was $15 per person last year. The food was DELISH! A variety of food is offered. Yesterday I posted a picture of the desserts which I have a weakness for. Here are some other pictures.

Last year we did not do any excursions. We spent out time on the beach playing in the water and sand and relaxing. This year I might rent a float for DS. The first day at Castaway Cay, most of the excursions were cancelled due to the weather. It was windy and there were a few showers. Though the weather was not suitable for excursions we still had fun on the beach and, of course, it was not snowing. :rotfl:

I remember the rain at Cookies. By the time we were finished eating, the rain was over.

Marsha - the photos of Palo bring back the memories. We were there dining at the same time as you last year. I remember seeing you come in. I had the chicken parmesan and it was yummy.

But, I don't think we will be doing Palo this time around. We had never been there before and last year we went three times. :scared1: I know. We had booked a dinner, and brunch. Then when we bought more points we were invited to a special dinner with the guy that does Goofy's voice. I can't think of his name right now, but it was fun.

Plus, since the girls are going to be with, I like to dine with them. But I highly recommend to anyone to try Palo. My favorite was one of the pizza's! It had shrimp and asparagus on it. To Die For!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Hi Chris! I remember seeing you at the brunch. I really want to do dinner at Palo. But, I too enjoy eating with all of my family. Plus, I like to experience all of the restaurants. Maybe when we go on a longer cruise.
BTW, Bill Farmer is the voice of Goofy.

That's right, Bill Farmer. He was really funny. Then we saw him at Animal Kingdom after the cruise. Wouldn't that be fun knowing you're the voice of Goofy and hearing yourself at the opening show? :rolleyes1

Yes, try dinner at Palo. It is really good. Love that souffle. :goodvibes

On last year's cruise we didn't do any excursions. We were going to do the jet ski one on the first day we were at CC but it got cancelled due to winds. We would like to try to reschedule some day. Just not sure when. And we haven't made up our minds about anything this time.

I would like to maybe rent some bikes and go to the look out tower. We have never been to it before. Hard to believe since we have been to CC several times. But we usually find ourselves a nice place on the family beach and just chill out for the day. Sounds delightful right now.

You know it is getting close to the pirate: and :bride: and I have yet to get one. Maybe today will be my lucky day!
