Things have been kind of tough lately and I feel like that 70s lady in the Calgon bath....Disney Cruise Line take me away!!!!

Looks like the latest track has it going right over Grand Cayman and just to the north of Cozumel. Not a good track for either....

oh, that makes me sad to hear it. last time a hurricane hit grand cayman really hard it wiped out half of the stingrays. poor stingrays.

by the way drclaws, your kitties are soooo cute. i have a black & white tuxedo kitty myself so i am quite partial to them!

Things have been kind of tough lately and I feel like that 70s lady in the Calgon bath....Disney Cruise Line take me away!!!!

I feel the same way...but I have to make sure everything is in order before I go. I'm the only one who works in the office for a Neuropsychologist and he's kind of like the absent minded professor!! He's a brilliant psychologist, but just forgetful about the administrative and insurance/billing part of the practice. That's where I come in. I need to make sure all billing is done, all files are in order, new patient files, and old patient filing. Plus, I need to make sure the appointments are all in order. Lots and lots to do. But, as I go in everyday, I sit and daydream about the cruise and check out disboards! Oh well, I'll just make him pay for internet time for me while I'm cruising and I can check in everyday with him. That should pacify. hehe

Why, thank you! Pepper is our "special needs" kitty and get to charm the vet's office while we're away. They absolutely LOVE him and last vacation made him a party hat to wear (which he did briefly, we're told). Pretty much has the roam of the area when there are techs around. We always get asked when our next vacation is so they can take care of him.

Smokey is the younger "sister" who gets to have a sitter come in to visit...and she MIGHT deem her worthy enough to make an appearance while here. Sweet kitty who gives us absolute hell when we get back for leaving here alone and relatively unspoiled.

..and addressing the "H"....right now I'd think our itinerary has to up in the air pending on how badly GC and Cozumel get hit. Always the fun of sailing in September.

I belong to that club too. Thank God for spell Check. I flunked out of high school because of my bad spelling. I just love it when it is others who miss letters or words. This cruise is going to be a blast no matter where we go. Lois

She HATES it when we go on vacation and in fact can usually be found IN the suitcase or puking on the floor to express her dissatisfaction. I think her general attitude is: "You would choose a MOUSE over me?" But when we move to Florida she should be happy since she'll finally get her retirement home! You're lucky you can leave your kitty with people who adore him. When my kitty goes to the vet she sounds like Chewbaca! (She's part siamese)

I agree, no matter where we end up we will have a great time because we bring the Disney magic with us!

So why the edit on the Funk!!! I found that to be a very funny error on my part. It was in the post that was e-mailed. I told ya I was in that same "can't spell to save my life club" I am glad others can see the humor in it as well. How many day does everyone have? I have only 12 left I believe. Lois

I got 17 days left. It seems like forever but I've now begun my prepacking lists for each of us. And my list of things left to be purchased before we go. SO I guess I'm doing o.k.

Good morning one and all!

In three weeks we will be waking up in Key West! I do love Key West!
I have not started packing but have also started a list of things that I need to bring that I wouldn't necessarily take on most vacations.
I did not purchase trip insurance and may be sorry. I will look at the link today to see if I still can. The excursion that may not happen due to the H word hopefully won't get charged if we can't go. That is drinking $$$$ that would go to waste.
Keeping an eye on that H. We may be going Eastern, but who cares?

Watching the path of H.... It looks pretty scary for the folks in it's path. Saying it will be cat 4 not 5 that may be a good thing but Cat 4 is still very strong. We may go East for this cruise as long as there isn't yet another major strorm waiting in the wings to wipe out the east ports as well.

I have begun my packing but do not know when I will have time to finish. We leave on the first so I have decided to take the 31st off to make sure I have time to get ready. It is going to be a very bust two weeks.

I can't wait for this vacation. Need to stay healthy so I can enjoy it.

First time cruiser here and very concerned about Dean... alot of people are talking about a cruise to nowhere.. is that possible?

I figure that it will be an Eastern cruise because of Dean.. if it hits where they say... (hopefully it wont and everyone in the path will be fine..)

I canceled my excursion on Grand Cayman... I figure I can rebook once we know the extent of the damage...

Anyone ever been on a cruise after a hurricane?

P.S.... I am not packing yet... I can't even decide the excursions.. how do you all do it?

Lois... I was being smarmee with my funk comment and thought after I posted it that it might sound offensive. Glad you weren't offended since my edit didn't seem to really edit it!

I have not started packing yet but I did do up a list of things to bring. I also made an excel spreadsheet with a rough schedule for each day showing dining times, show times and ashore/aboard times. Yes, I am that nerdy!

I also indulged this weekend in a few new pieces of clothing for the cruise.

I am getting more and more nervous. Should I cancel my Dolphin Royal Swim now or wait a little longer? The excurssion is on Cozumel. I'm so torn what I should do..... what do you all think? The park already charged me since I booked directly through them, and it was $417, so it's to much for me to be playing with, what should I do?

Im not cancelling anything. I talked to DCL yesterday, and they will make the changes before we even get there. And yes it could be changed to another route,that's up to Tom and DCL. And if we do change ports, all the excurtions(DCL's) are refunded and we just make new ones. According to DCL.

Not packing as of today. Just getting a box out and collecting my small goodies. Shhhhhh still buying clothes.

TinkerbellTris...you booked through Chankanaab Park for the dolphin swim right? They say that they will refund your money if your ship is diverted from the port, so I'd just let it sit when and if that happens. You can call or email them and ask just in case. Please let me know what you find out because I am doing the dolphin swim too.
