09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

Just a short note to say HI and hoping all is well. I only have 14 full days before we leave. Now the time is going too fast. Can't wait to meet each of you.
Wow...two weeks away. You must be beside yourself with giddyness! Don't worry about the little things. You'll be fine and when travel time comes, you'll definitely be ready for vacation! Looking forward to meeting you on the cruise! Mickey Pool at 3:00 p.m., here we come! Hugs and Kisses from the Kossman Clan!

Yup... the guy can be full of surprises! And yes it's 37 years! And Yes the ring will be on display!:rotfl2:
A girlfriend of mine "earned" her crown ring the hard way, Miss Las Vegas and Miss Nevada about 7 years back. All the girls were given a beautiful crown ring too. Way different then mine.

I have to mention the H word too.... well if DCL has to re route us, it's gonna be a new adventure.
The horn music is now on my ipod :thumbsup2

I can wait to meet all of you too.:goodvibes

I got a little nervous and finally broke down and bought travel insurance. Thanks to everyone who suggested insuremytrip.com It was a huge help. I also went with travelex, the travelite policy. Thanks again!

For those who wanted to buy leis Ladyemmaann will have them at the airport and the port. She will be there before me. I will have the rest and will be both at the port and at the Mickey pool meet at three. Remember they are one dollar each. We should have plenty. See everyone on the 8th. Lois

I trust this is a typo but the truth be told you will have to wait to meet us. so maybe it is a good thing that you can wait. that is just tooooo funny. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Lois

Okay...you are bringing up the H word again! I bought the trip insurance and I don't live in the Gulf Coast. I live by Lake Erie! No chance of a hurricane hitting here! Thank God. But, just like the "horn music", when you wish upon a star, your dreams come true! My dream is to have a wonderful relaxing cruise to the western carribbean and I'm not letting anybody or anything named Dean ruin it! Let's all pray for good weather and for all those people in the hurricane's path that no deaths or destruction will occur. Amen.

THAT"S RIGHT!!! We don't have to worruy about hurricaness!! We only have ot worry about torrential downpour of rain for NO reason, and 3 feet of snow when it was just sunny!!!

When i was in California, near San Diego, their weather was EVEN weirder!.

Not sure when i will be back down here in the basement, but i am up this morning and will shortly be on my way to the Cleveland clinic for my surgery. Been having some bad dreams about it and i am pretty sure it's because i am so excited about this cruise. I will check back in when i can make it down the stairs or have my brother (CINGULARONE) send a quick post. WISH ME LUCK!

Goooooooooood morning fellow cruisers!!!!

I can't believe how close our trip is creeping! My sister in-laws and I were talking aabout how it really hasn't sunk in that we're going yet. Then again, we have had TONS going on the past couple of weeks so we really haven't had time to notice the days passing by.

By the way, I spoke to a DCL rep last night and she did tell me that at this point for our cruise, if you have a cabin number attatched to your ressie, there's about a 95% chance that you will be in that cabin at check in as well. If you happen to still be in GTY status, you could still be upgraded. Though she can't give any details, she did say that our sailing is pretty close to being sold out, but the reason for the upgrades is just a whole bunch of holes, and more people having booked the lowest categories than the middle ones (which is typical). Sorry if this disappoints anyone, but I figured I'd pass word along.

Just think......3 weeks from today we will all be having our last day on land for the next week!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

DnJLaw777,
Good luck on the surgery and get well soon!:)

I am right there with you. We leave in only 14 days. OMG I am running out of time. So much to do at home and work. Will I ever be ready for this vacation. Now I want to clarify I will not be ready in time, not enought time, but I will for sure need this vacation. Can't wait to visit the mouse. Lois

Hahahaha! I know, you leave before me! Lucky! I do not know where the time went, that's for sure. But we can all definatly use this vacation. I have been so busy with lots of out of town stuff at work I feel like I have not really seen my family in like a good 2 weeks. We need to get away so bad. I can't wait! I know I won't be ready either, but I'm trying.

Ok so it can't be the actual hurricane Dean that you all are worried about. I mean the hurricane will be long gone three weeks from now. So is it damage to the island that you are worried about that the ship wouldn't go there?

I'm just worried about the fact that I took the plunge and spent $417 on the Dolphin Royal Swim in Cozumel, and now we may not be stopping there. I can get a refund now....but then what if we stop there? I hate being in the "what if" situation.

I just watched several different forecasts for Hurricane Dean's path. It looks like they are predicting a direct hit to Cozumel (Yucatan Penninsula). Grand Cayman looks like it is more on the outskirts of the Hurricane. By the time it hits Grand Cayman/Cozumel area beginning of next week, it will be a Category 4 Hurricane. Extremely strong one. :sad2: Donnica is right; by the time we go it will be long gone. I'm hoping Cozumel isn't destroyed! :scared1:
TinkerbellTris, I would be seriously investigating what happens if you cancel the dolphin thing. :confused3 I would imagine that if there is massive destruction to the island, they would refund the money anyway if they are unable to fulfill the excursion. Check with DCL on that one.

Let's all pray very hard for Mother Nature to be kind to the islanders, vacationers, and structures on all the islands in the carribbean who are getting slammed by Dean. :flower3:

It looks like Key West is free and clear of any storms or worse. So is Castaway Cay. :cheer2:

I have found that if a vendor is a good one, they know these things can happen and is beyond your control. The last thing they want is a bad name out there by keeping peoples money when ships can't get to port.

That would be my guess as well. Well put Donnica. I don't think DCL would do business with any shady vendors. They are all DCL backed as far as their reps go.

I just hope none of the islands get hit to hard. These people have a hard enough time to start with, without throwing a hurricane there to destroy things. I'm sure the islands that were hit last time and rebuilt, they built thinking about those hard hitting hurricanes and built stronger and better.

Hey, if worse comes to worse...I'd be willing to stay at sea an extra day! :thumbsup2
If we have to just stay on the ship rather than go to port due to destruction, I'd be happy to spend that day on the ship relaxing! pirate: Maybe they could give all the adults an hour or two where all the drinks were on the house!!! :yay: I'd LOVE that!!!!

Don't worry...DCL won't short change us. I'm not worried about it. You have to be able to take the good with the bad when vacationing. We all dream of the perfect vacation, but hey, stuff happens! :wave2:

I should probably get back to work. I've been on here for like over an hour. :rolleyes1

I don't want to work! I'm too excited about the cruise getting closer! Only...21 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!
