09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

Hello!

My husband and I are going on the Sept. 8th Western Cruise! This will be our first time ever on a cruise and we are thrilled! :cloud9: If you have any tips for us feel free to share!

Thx!

Amber

I have added you to the roster. Check out the links in my siggie. Ask any questions. See you on the 8th. Lois

Anyone besides Janet and I doing WDW before this cruise?

I will be in O-Town as of Wednesday the 5th. We are hitting that parks one day and Typhoon Lagoon another day, as well as visiting friends, stopping by my old work locations and my husband's old work locations, having dinner at Ohana and about a billion other things! We will NEED that cruise!

Hey everyone!

We will also be at WDW before the cruise. We are arriving on the 4th and staying at Pop (free dining!!!). Then after the cruise we are spending one night at Coronado Springs. I needed to go back to WDW after the cruise to help with the "I'm not longer on the Mickey boat meltdown" that I typically experience!

Welcome, welcome! You will love cruisin! Especially with DCL! They do an exceptional job. Everyone on board is helpful, fun, and just take care of your every need and wish! I Love those guys and gals!

Make sure to check out the meetings they will have for going onshore and information for the cruise itself. They can be a little boring, but are definitely informative. Especially the lectures on what to do for debarkation and such.

You can also catch all that information on the disney onboard channel in your cabin. There will be listings in your navigator (which is the daily "paper" onboard). You will want to pay attention to events and such so read the navigator. It contains a wealth of information.

Get ready for an absolutely magical time! You're gonna love it!

Tinkerbelltris how are we coming with the plans for Lunch and breakfast? Do we need to give DCL a final count or are we good to go? Since you had the contact with DCL can you post the details once again for our newcomer?

I got to go Twin Princesses will be here tomorrow and I have got to find the house or I may be disowned. Til then, Lois

Hey Lois:
Plans are great, I will call DCL again 2 weeks prior to the cruise then again at one week prior, for a reminder. Everything is a go. The plans are as is:
Dis Lunch:
9-10-2007 At 12 noon at Parrot Cay
Total count: 32
Jammie Breakfast:
9-14-2007 At 7:30a.m. at Topsiders
Total count: 45
Anyone else who would like to attend is welcome, just let me or Lois know so we may add you to the list.
I will need the actual final count of people for both one week prior to sail so that I may call in the final count to DCL.
Thanks everyone.

Wow...lots of people from the New England area going on this cruise. I love the New England states....especially those steamers with beer! Seafood...it is my passion! YUMMY!

thirty two days to go!!:dance3: :yay: :yay: :yay: :dance3:

of course we're not packed, scheduled with excursions, etc, but    it's 32 days to go! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm sure there MUST be an appropriate Disney quote, but Sponge Bob chanting "I'm Ready. I'M Ready..." seems appropriate here!!!

Do you really pack this early? I thought I was an early tasker! We still need to go through our clothes to see if we need anything! I'm just as excited though! 32 days.......mmmmmmmmm!

Hahaha, I have now reached the OH MY GOD we only have 29 days left till our trip begins. Hmmmm, I guess I better make a list for what all I still need. Only 2 paychecks left before the trip. I can't believe it's almost here. And of course on the other hand.....WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG!!!!!!!

Michelle, where in Mass are you? My hubby is from Quincy and I am from Watertown, origianally.

wifey hasn't even BOUGHT all of her clothes yet!!!

Welcome Amber! Like everyone else on this thread has said...you're gonna have a great time! :thumbsup2

Jenn, I'm sure we will be seeing you at WDW before the cruise! Let us know what days you are dining at Ohana (yum!) or going to Typhoon Lagoon, we'd love to meet you there! We probably won't stay overnight (I cancelled our res. at Port Orleans) but at least we can drive over and do some fun WDW stuff. Christine and I both still have days on our MYW tickets from 2006! :cool1:

Ok I have to admit... I bought another skirt and a top to go with it.
DH has posted my pic in all the stores and told the sales people not to sell me ANYTHING!!!:lmao:

fltink - I'm in Lowell.

I can't wait to be back on the Mickey Boat!

My DS will be turning 3 on the cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to "celebrate"? I already bought a pirate birthday banner to hang in the room. He is a major Captain Jack fan!

HAHAHA! Everytime I walk into a store now, I find something that would look really cute for the cruise! The girls and I are going crazy with shopping! I have to cool it though...back to school time and new shoes and such are expensive!
Also, what I do when I buy something new, I don't show DH. I take it upstairs when he's not looking and hang it in the closet or put it in a drawer right away so he thinks I've had it for a while! I know, sneaky...but hey, I like new clothes!

Well, here's my solution - a week before leaving, just through everything in a suitcase and forget-about-it! :)

I myself like to buy new clothes for special trips too. I have two teenage daughters as well who like to buy new clothes. That's why we have to lay everything out soon to see what we DIDN'T buy!

Celebrate his B-day on priate night. Everyone will be dressed up and ready to party.
I have a grandson who's b-day is new years eve... Everyone celebrates with him and he's now 6. He really doesn't care if its new years eve.
