Hello fellow cruisers.
We will not be doing the jammie breakfast, even if it is on Friday....DH says I am dragging him on this cruise and he is not getting up early for NOBODY.
Yikes....
I got my Oriental Trading Company magazine this week.
On page 36 they have Pirate Bracelets. (Give this silicone bracelets as party gifts!" item CD-24/1771 for $4.95 for a dozen.) They are cute.
We will go with the rubber bracelets that the majority pick, along with any color leis. I can send a donation check to any coordinator that is buying the bracelets. We will be staying at BCV, and driving or car service to the port on Saturday AM.

I know on the 11 day southern last September DCL had specified tables for us for the Jammie breakfast and it was all arranged. Of course we had a very large group. But I was told by DCL that this was something they like you to arrange ahead of time. Maybe the girl was just trying to discourage me from planning this. At any rate, count us in-depending on the day.

Tinkerbelltris has had contact with DCL. I don't know what the time line is. I just suspect we will need a head count and know what time and day will work best for all attending. So far it is seems that everyone is OK with Friday as it will not interfer with anyones character breakfast. I would prefer we do it early to allow those who want to get out early to Castaway cay to do so. I also suggested that maybe we do a lunch on Monday our first day at sea. A little later and earlier in the cruise to allow us to visit. Were you wanting to arrange the Jammie Breakfast? If you have done it in the past please step in and let myself and TinkerbellTris help you were we can. Any suggestions will be welcomed. Right now I am attemptiong to get a head count. I believe we are up to about 15 people.

So tell me when do you think it would be best to hold the Jammie breakfast. And how many of your group will be attending? Lois

I hear that. 7:30am is an ungodly hour to be awake and ready for breakfast.
I'm a night worker and don't usually go to bed until about 4am.

My body clock will not allow my eyes to open that early.

Oh, by all means Lois go ahead! I feel a little bad because I thought I was going to have a lot of time to plan things for this trip but I'm tapped out for time! You and TinkerbellTris go right ahead. I'll let you know if we are coming and how many of us are coming.
We have jsut been so busy! Life needs to slow down a bit. DD20 leaves in less than a week for Costa Rica for study abroad for almost a month so we have been trying to get her ready to go. DS16 leaves at the end of May for NYC with his Advanced Drama class for a week and a half to see shows on Broadway! Busy around these parts, I tell ya!

But we are one day closer to cruise time

A Monday lunch seems fine with me! Seems like a good idea to have both the DIS lunch and DIS breakfast that way those who can't make it to one can attend the other. Even if we're split up we'll still get to socialize with a percentage of DISers.

ReAnSt...those pirate bracelets are great! Too funny. I'd be into 4 of those for our crew, be great for the pirate party. I am still hoping we can get the lime green commemorative ones too though.

Im hoping to do Palo's brunch that day at sea... DD doesnt want to miss any dining rotation and activity. It's their frist cruise together and needless to say she's the Disney fan. You never know at kind of ressies you are able to get.

I guess we will do early Friday for breakfast as I have not had any other options suggested outside of not eating early. I have only had a few takers on the lunch idea but we don't need a large group to eat lunch together. I also don't know when DCL will need the final count. I will get with Tinkerbelltris and find out that infomation. Keep those comments and suggestions comming so we can make it the best we can for as many as possible.

We are well on our way. Looking forward to getting with each of you and really needing this vacation. Lois

I am collecting data on the group for the group roster. What I am looking for is first names, Stateroon Number or catagory, which dining rotation early or late, and if you are celebrating anything. We are planning a Jammie Breakfast on Friday early, Lunch on Monday and trying to get a meet schedule for the very first day. We have plans to order leis to help ID ourselves for 1$ each and braclets or key rings for about 2$ You can PM me that information. If you provide me with an e-mail address in August I will e-mail the file. I will not post the addresses nor do I recomend that you post it to give it to me. Looking forward to cruising with you.

Airfare question...

Last year I went to WDW and got these fantastic Southwest airfare rates for September. (Flying from Hartford, CT to Orlando) They were only $137 round trip! I seem to recall buying them in May but I'm not sure. Anyone know when Southwest will release lower rates for Sept? I just checked their site and they're currently at $220 round trip, a little high for my budget.

Or if you have any other airfare suggestions I am all EARS...
