09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

Did any of you guys watch the string of cruise shows that were on the Travel Channel yesterday? One of them "Best Cruises" gave a nod to DCL as "Best Family Cruise" and there was some nice footage of a deck party in action! That's what I'm talking about!

I noticed on one of the cruises, Royal Caribbean I think, one of the excursions was a bar hop! They had this funny red party tour bus that actually transported the cruisers to each bar. And they were wild! They had songs and noisemakers on the bus. Now THAT'S what we need for the pub crawl! :thumbsup2

Also I was working on my cruise budget yesterday and found out that if you book the Dolphin Swim direct with Chankanaab that it also includes park admission. The one I am interested in is the Dolphin Adventure and snorkel. ($104 per adult) The dolphins actual pull you through the water and then you get to snorkel WITH them in a reef! How cool is THAT? Plus they have a refund policy in case your cruise ship is diverted from port in the event of bad weather. Pretty cool. http://www.cometocozumel.com/

I wanna cruise NOOOOOOW! I'm so sick of New England weather.

I had no idea that other companies would refund money if the ship was devirted. That's cool!:thumbsup2

I've seen that whole cruse line show several times... and I still have to sit and watch every minute of it... as if it was going to be different:lmao:

About the Pub Crawl... I'll go back and find it, but there is a tour called a PC Tour! I'll have to go back and post the link for all of you.:goodvibes

BTW... today was 75, and Im working on my first tan of the summer:rotfl:

Alright, I'm back. I saw it, we slipped to page 3. I've been working out of town and now I'm back. So since I don't work tomorrow, I'll make sure to post so we stay on page #1. The weeks are going quickly, but not quick enough. I don't know about everyone else. The sad part is we have a surprise trip for my DS 8th Birthday for 5 days planned for Disneyland and we leave in 9 days, and I'll I can think about is our cruise! Well, I guess thats not sad, it's exciting, but I need to get into the Disneyland trip right now. Well everyone have a great night. It's good to be home and planning for Disney trips!

75 degrees where you are? :goodvibes: ok, i am SO jealous now. it's freezing here, wet and rainy. generally blah. can't wait until daylight savings starts. i HATE february.

Hello,

I am currently booked on the DVC Member cruise however I am thinking about changing to a 7nt. It will be me and DS who will be 6 at the time. It will be our first cruise. I am planning to go sometime in September so I am checking out all the meet threads for those groups to see where I might "fit in" and this seems like a good group. So I just wanted to say hi and I should know in the next few days where and when I am going.

Tonya

Hope everyone is well. It got into the 40's today and sunny and I'm excited to see the sun. But they are calling for a wintry mix again tomorrow night. I can't wait till September. Even 75 degree temps would make me happy.

Sunny Arizona! By the week end we should be hitting the 80's they say!

Thanks!! For those of you who have been on the East and West which is your favorite and why?

Hi Tonya,:welcome:

We've done Eastern and Western and love them both. Each one has their own personality of locations.
We happen to be doing both this time (WEW), and it looks like our DD and DSIL will be joining us. Her 2nd cruise and his first.
So if there are any of the guys out there that wants a Basketball companion... let me know.:thumbsup2

Hi Becky... Long time no see!
Glad it's only cold for you. Spring is around the corner!
Add to that a short summer.... then Vacation time!:cheer2:

Hi Tonya! Welcome, this will be our first cruise as well, my DS will be 8 when we cruise. We are super excited as well, everyone here has been very helpful in answering lots of my questions. It's a great group!

Thanks! I do have some questions..
1.Can you adopt me? :rotfl2: I think that would be my dream Disney vacation with a few days at the parks before it all starts!

2.I am now trying to figure out when it would be best for DS to miss school. In the first few weeks or later into the semester? Anyone have any experience with this? He will be in the 1st grade. The only bad thing about this date is I really wanted to do MNSSHP but it doesn't look like they will be having one close enough for our dates to be able to attend.

3.Do you think I will get bored by myself since I am sure DS will be in the clubs a lot?

4. Are there any shore excursions you can recommend for us on this cruise? Neither of us are swimmers :sad2: . I like to sight see but nothing that would make him too bored.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
