09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

Hi Lois,
Im keping a semi-list on paper. Im not that computer savvy. About 60 Diser's on the 8th , and 5(families) are doing a back to back:yay:
About 93 Disers on the 15th and 3 families are doing a back to back.pirate:
About 58 Disers on the 22nd and I dont know if any of them are doing a back to back.:confused3 Oh lordy... thats a total of 121 people Im getting a small gift for at the party?? :scared1: Let's see... I can sell my art! Good idea!:rotfl:

Don't worry about the non drinking crew.. add me and Dh to your list. Party YES...sober too!
And yes... Im counting down the dayspirate:

Ann

I have created a data base for the 15th. I can go back, if I can find the time, and create a data base for the 8th as well. I also do not do well with the computer so I really don't think I could post the list. However, I could e-mail it to someone who could post it. Any takers on a team effort out there? I would be interested in person's name, ages especially of the kids, birthday, anniveraries, or anything that will be being celebrated, room or deck of room, as well as how many past cruises one has taken. This could be helpful in getting to know each other once we are on board. If anyone wants feel free to PM me the infomation. I know some of it is included in past post but not all of it. If there are anything else of interest you want others to know that info could be included as well.

For example: I am a parent of two adult children and a grandmother of two grandchildren. They are the two in the picture. We are in RM 2060. We are also doing a B2B with a stay at WDW 6 days before the 8TH. My names is Lois and my partners names is Janet. We are both social workers who work with persons who are developmentally delayed. We have taken 4 other DCL cruises (1/3day and 1/7 day eastern). On 8/29 we are celebrating 20 years. That the reason for the month long vacation.

Of course one only need to do what you are comfortable with. I know safety is first and foremost on everyone mind. Lois

Howdy,

I could probably be considered one of the drinking crew, in fact I probably seem downright NUTS if you are reading my posts! But to be honest I'm not always drinking when I'm onboard, I definitely don't NEED to drink to have fun! I just enjoy having the tropical specialities when I'm in port or at Rockin' Bar D!

Drinking is Cool. I just don't do it. I had a small problem with the liquid and decided some time ago it was not in my best interest to consume the gold. In April I will have 19 years clean and sober. I can be around alcohol without problems but I'm thinking that the pub crawl I had better leave to those with more experence. Can't wait for this cruise. It will be a blast. Lois

I completely understand Lois! I just didn't want you to think I was some kind of drunken fool! Or for you to think I was only interested in socializing with people willing to go on a pub crawl. :goodvibes

Besides a Disney cruise is fun all on its own - how could anyone NOT have fun on the Magic...it rocks!!!! I'm already thinking about all the delicious meals I am going to have. :woohoo: I have to confess I went and looked up some of the menus the other day just to imagine what it would be like being onboard again and being waited on hand and foot. Oh that is the life! :cloud9:

That reminds me... what dining schedule is everyone on?
We are early dinner - 6/6:30 I think - and I am thinking of requesting APLAPLA. That's the order we had last time and I quite liked it. Although last time we were in the 8:30 dining slot and while I prefer a late dinner I found that dinner didn't end until around 10 and it really cut into my evening plans, so we're gonna try the early dinner this time.

Janet and I are on the early but haven't considered what Rotation. I can't wait to get back on board to spend just a little time having everything I could want brought to be even before I can ask for it. My sister is also coming with us with her two daughters age 9. This is their 1st cruise and I am looking forwad to seeing the girls have the time of their life. They have been to DL many times but never to WDW or on a cruise. Are there any 8 to 10 year olds who are joining us on this cruises. It would be neat to get the kids together. However I know from past DCL cruises that there will be plenty of kids to entertain my nieces. Lois

Good morning cruisers! Trying to bump our thread, boy you really have to post non-stop to stay on page one of the cruise forum!

So... what's everyone's favorite restaurant on the Magic (excluding Palo because it's in a league of its own): Lumiere's, Parrot Cay, Animator's?

I'm gonna go with Parrot Cay for best food. It's the most informal of the 3 but I like the international flavors of the food they serve there.

I can't say which one I like best. They are all good and awesome for different reasons. I like the color and the feel of Parrots Cay, the pictures in Animator's, and the more formal feeling in Lumiere's. I enjoy the food in all three. So I guess I really don't have a favorite. I guess I will need to try to post more often to do my part to keep us on page one. Lois

Hey! Sorry I haven't been an active participant lately, I am having computer issues and am debating on buying a new on. This one's a dinosaur! On the drinking topic, I am in no way a drunk, but I like to do the pub crawl in Key West because it's so much fun. But because I drive truck and can't drink often, when I do it's 3 beers and I'm done!:rotfl2: But we can all have a great time dinks or no drinks. I have gone on a cruise and not had a drop of alcohol. Then again I have gone and had a drop too many!
I was attempting to keep record of everyone on this board but honestly I am having a problem keeping up because of my computer problems. If anyone wants to take the reigns, be my guest. I just can't do it, I'm afraid.
Also, I had planned a Pre-meet at SSR the day before the cruise. If anyone is interested in coming, let me know. If not, it may fall by the wayside-or we can just get a group together for dinner. Whatever works! Back to the steering wheel:scared:

Janet, Myself, My sister and her two daughters age 9 would love to get together on the 7th. We will be staying at Pop Century. We will not have access to a computer after 8/28 so I am not sure how to locate you. Maybe you can PM me your full names so I can at least give you a call once we are all in Orlando. If you have any other ideas that might work please pass them on.

I will try to complete a data base by going back through the posts. Maybe you can help me by posting the complete list. I don't have a clue how to do any of that stuff.

We really are looking forward to getting together in September. Till then, Lois

Since my house looks like PC... I'll take Lumiere's as my fav!!! I love playing dress up any time I can. We have a couple kinds of dress here. Winter:long pants (jeans) and a long sleeve t-shirt...Summer: swim top and board shorts.
That means anytime I can dress up princess: and have wonderful food is a Big BONUS to me!
PS...

Im soooooo looking foward to this trip... Just found out that our ADCMD(Adopted Disney Cast Member Daughter ) just became a office on the Magic!!!!! We are so proud of her!:cool1: :cool1:

we are considering coming in and staying at WDW the day before the cruise, so if that happens we would LOVE to come to your SSR soiree! i'll let you know the closer we get.

happy friday!

Thank you! We are very excited! 2x on the Wonder by the time we sail, but no Magic yet.... had to prep sufficiently for the 7 day one! :rotfl:

Too many people worry "what to do with all those sea days!"
One answer.... Relax !popcorn::
Do you have your cabin # yet? and your dinner rotation/ seating?
Mouser aka Lois is keeping a list of all this stuff. We are planning several activities on the ship for everyone... hope you'll join in. Some thing are still in the planning stages.

It was fun, but my dog bowl-sized margarita wasn't nearly as good as the one I got at Sloppy Joe's in Key West which is hands down the best margarita anywhere. I'm trying to convince my partner we should do a Key West pub crawl: Turtle Crawl, Margaritaville, Irish Kevin's and Sloppy Joe's!stina :wave2:

What?? No Hog's Breath on the crawl? My personal favorite :woohoo: :)

:welcome: To the new people:wave2: Do any of you have princesses princess: going with you mine will be 9 & 3/4 in Sep. They want to know who they can play with besides twin sis:love:

Mine will be 4 in Sept! :goodvibes She doesn't know she is going for an entire week on the "Mickey Mouse Boat" yet, however.... :rotfl2:

I am Becky 24 and will be celebrating my 25th birthday, and my brother Stephen (Nacho1337) 22, will be 23 on the cruise, he's the one who started this thread will be on the cruise and the one one the 15th. We talked about going on the returning repo from Europe but wasn't sure if I could get off the whole time. Still not sure about these two, hopefully we can go on both, I handed in my vacation request this past week and am waiting to see if I can actually do both, he already has the time off.

If not we will definitely do the one, but I could use some pixie dust that I can do both. My manager was like, why so early? I then proceeded to tell her I was booked since last April.;) She didn't have a problem with the two weeks+ but I must wait to see if headquarters approves it.

It will be our first time on the Magic, but we did a 4 day Wonder cruise in September 2005 with our parents and sailed with Hurricane Rita, I sure hope we do not have any hurricanes or tropical storms in the ocean.:thumbsup2 Despite the weather and altered cruise itinerary, we both had an incredible time. We have early dinner for one cruise and late for the other, but I can't recall which is which right now.

Hi Becky,
Yup I have read the thread several times. And Thnak your brother for starting it!:goodvibes
Hope you can get the time off for both the cruises. We did the repo of the Magic back to Fl., and got hit by Hillary! One missed one port... could have been worst:scared1:

Well, Im glad you are still with us!:dance3:

Ann
