Add us to the list, we booked while on the 11 day cruise....It will be Keith, Tina (DW) and Josh (DS - age 6). This will be our 8th cruise w/Disney. We tried to book a double dip cruise to Castaway Cay, but they are not offering it as of this time, if they do, we will change our res. to that cruise.

Welcome. I'm still looking for information on what I can expect on a western Cruise. What can I expect in the ports of call? What shore excursion are enjoyable? I'm not all that into shopping but do like to visit historical sites. I have completed 3 Eastern but this will be my first western. As such I know what to expect while on board but not when were in port. Mouser

This is a fun cruise, in Key West, we rented these electric cars and rode around the town. Went to the fartherest most part of the US, about ten blocks from where the ship docks. Saw Hemmiways house, and a lot of bars.

In Grand Cayman, there are several beaches, 7 mile beach is incredible. We did a little shopping, but Grand Cayman seems to be more expense than say St. Thomas. We try to go to the beach on our own, the only shore excursion we do is scuba diving. Which we may do on Cayman, they have some great reefs. So, if you do not scuba dive, there are several snorkel tours.

In Cozumel, We all ways Scuba Dive...my wife got her first experince diving there about 10 years ago and everytime we go back we dive. The last cruise we took, Cozumel was closed due to a hurricane and we ended up in costa maya. Every thing should be repaired, unless they get another hurricane before we go...

And you know about Castaway Cay...we always get a couples massage on Serenty bay. It has to be the best place on God's great earth to get a massage.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about finding a way to see the city in Key West. The beach sounds like a great idea in Grand Caymen. We are planning to buy our own snorkle equipment. Neither of us know how to dive and snorkling will work. I think I want to see the Tulum ruins in Cozumel. I am excited about seeing some new and differnt areas. Til later, Mouser

Just checking in to see if there is any newbies...guess not. As everyone will soon learn, I check the boards all most every night. No, I'm not a nut case, I check it while my son is getting ready for bed. My wife and I take turns helping him with his bath and reading him a bed time story. He is not spoiled, he just plays one in real life :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: This will be his 6th Disney cruise....He's only five. I got addicted to this board before our last cruise, as a group, we had over 17000 post. I know it's early, as more people join, our numbers will grow.

If new people have any questions, ask away, We love the Disney cruise line and we have now sailed on both ships. The magic will always be our favorite, but the Wonder was just as nice. We like the Magic because they only do 7 day cruises, I know, they are offering 10 and 11 day cruises in the Med. But with airfare and cabin prices, that is a little more than we like to spend. OK, I like to ramble....

with that, I bid everyone a good night.

Would love to do the med cruise but I can't afford the air fare to get on the ship. Then If I could get there I wouldn't have any money with which to play. Bummer I wanted Disney to do the Southern Carribean cruises again. I guess we can't have it all. We are planning to do a B2B beginning with the Western on 9/8. Since we have not taken the western before I expect to be busier on this one then the eastern.

We ave also been on both ships and found them to be pretty much the same. The main difference is where they come into port and the number of days they sail. The three and four day cruises just aren't long enough. That's why we are doing the B2B in 9/07 Till later Mouser

It's another great day here in B'ham, AL....all 3 state teams, :cheer2: Auburn, :cheer2: ALA and :cheer2: UAB, have home games. Plus the big NASCAR race is right down the road, that makes for a very busy day here at work. Just checking in to keep the thread alive....

Hope to chat soon...

I spent my day getting CPR and First aid certified. I am glad that someone is keeping this thread alive. Hopefully as the time draws near we will gather addition people who might enjoy getting together. Well got to go. Till later Mouser.

I signed in earlier but always check for new news! I'm getting lots of great tips off the boards! :cool1: Seems like a long time to wait to cruise for us first time cruisers but by all reports that I have read I won't be disappointed. We are cruising to celebrate our 20th anniversary which will be in July 2007. I think we are going to like cruising! :cheer2: Hopefully we hear from some more that are signing up for the Sept 8 2007 cruise.
Cheers :flower1:

Congrats on the anniversary :woohoo: . That is quite a long time. I have two grand children age 12 (11/6) :artist: and age 10 (7/10) princess: Pretty close to the same age as your kids. They are not coming with this trip, however. I'm glad to hear from you and look forward to having you part of the planning. :thumbsup2 Mouser

It may seem like a long time, but the time will fly by....the cruise will be here before we know it :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats on the 20 years, we will celebrate our 10 year next Oct...This will be our early anniversary cruise, I think my wife wants to go to California to visit the wine country next Oct. as well. I would rather spend our Anniversary some where in the Caribbean, where its WARM! :smooth: Plus, I do not drink wine.... :lmao:

Hey, a page three topper :thumbsup2

Ok, fellow cruisers, we have been bumped to page 3....we need to post!

Well, well, well- We couldn't let our buddies cruise alone! The whole Famdamly Cruise has officially been changed to this one. Yep. You can't escape us. And If you think we're crazy wait till you meet the whole famdamly. :lmao: Ok, now you can't change to a stinkin' double dip! You HAVE to go on this one. Call us! Or are ya'll too cool....... :smooth:

Hello everyone else! Add a bunch more to this one. Me-Cyndi, DH-Kevin, DD20 Amber, DS17Alex, DMIL Patsy(she'll shoot me if I post her age :teeth: ),
My Grandparents- Jack and Mary, and dd's Boyfriend Billy Jo 22 (Yes that is unfortunately his name) :confused3 :teeth: :rotfl: And possibly my mom, brother, and nephew- but no promises just yet on them. So that's 8 more total. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Guess it's time to change my tickers- we will also be doing a week at SSR before (Sept 1-8) Anyone else doing WDW before hand? Keith? Anyone?

Warning to everyone, I post WAY too much. You see, I have WAY too much time on my hands because my DH and I drive truck cross country, about 6300 miles per week with a load that goes from Newark, NJ to San Fransisco, CA. I drive days, he drives nights. After my driving shift I jump on the laptop and scan these boards popcorn:: :surfweb: So expect my endless chatter for the next 11 months or so :teeth: :teeth:

Hi again! All we did on our first Western was wing it. We took Horse and buggy rides in both Cozumel and Grand Cayman. In Key West we went to the Tortuga Rum Cake Company and ate SO MANY sample I thought I'd burst! Then we went to Irish Kevins for some beer and live entertainment and then off to Margaritaville because I was not leaving Key West without a cheeseburger in paradise! We LOVE Key West! We plan to do some excursions this time on the other islands though! :Pinkbounc

Not because of ya'll, but if Kevin and I went to Orient Beach! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: She said both of us on THAT BEACH would not be right, something about having to put the kids in therepy or something. :lmao: :lmao:
