09/05/09 LABORless MAGICal Meanderers

So last night I was going over my darling daughter's costumes and I have a dress for her that's red and black striped so I told her she'll wear that for Pirate Night because it's kinda pirate-y like. Anyway, she goes and asks why she doesn't have a pirate costume. Then she starts saying "arrr" :lmao: I had no idea she even knew what a pirate was! Oh well, I told her she can wear a pirate bandana and will be the cutest pirate ever. Too bad (or is it a good thing :rotfl:) that I don't have time to go find a pirate costume for her now!

No upgrades for us either but we figured it's probably because our ressies are linked with the in-laws and we booked a 6 and they booked the GTY 12 so they got an 11 a few doors down from us and that's that. Did you guys see the post on the main forum how there's a cat 1 available for the 9/12 sailing? Hmm, I wonder how much that would cost to upgrade to at port . . . :upsidedow

Ok Roll Call!!! How many adults are planning to dress up for the Pirate Party?pirate:pirate:pirate: :banana::banana::banana:

Not a real pirate costume but I have a top that's kinda pirate like, does that count?:confused3

We'll wear the bandanas they give out, assuming they still give them out and they are not all child size like some have said!

No upgrade for us either. We are linked with our friends' reservation. We figured that may be why. We are completely fine with it, to be honest. We picked our room. We have stayed in it before, and we love the location.

We are still searching for some pirate-like clothing for the pirate party....so we are a "maybe" on the pirate dressing.

However, the women in the group (there are 4) are dressing up a lot for the formal dinner (we have main seating-but are going to move it to late seating when we get there..) is anyone getting really dressy for formal night? Somebody PLEEEEASE say they are!

We picked our room too and are happy with the location. In-laws booked a GTY 12 so I told them to be happy they're not under RBD! :scared1: Plus they got a sideways cat 11 which I haven't been in but they seem to like it in the main forum. And can't beat that they're 5 doors downs from us.

That doesn't stop Erik from thinking about upgrading to a Cat 3 at the port if the price is right though. I'm a little nervous though, what if we absolutely love it and can't go back to a regular stateroom? :headache:

I think we will be getting really dressed up too. He might be bringing his tux on, he'll be sporting a suit at a minimum. Trying to get dfil to bring his tux but he says no.

Yep, we'll be dressing up as well. The DH will have his suit and tie, and I'm wearing a long dress! I can't wait! I hope we get some good photos for Formal night!

Not us pirate:
But I will be enjoying all those who do!!
(I may sport an eyepatch but that is it!)

We will be dressing up. Geoffrey and Preston are wearing a tux, I'm wearing a long navy dress, and. Wilson is wearing a long cream colored dress.

This is how we all dress for Formal night.

Only DS dresses up in a full pirate costume. I'm too cheap to buy us pirate wear.

We won't be dressing up for Pirate Night - we have three pirate Mickey hats we will be wearing. Formal night we don't even dress really. My husband has to get "dressed up" for work and hates the thought of being on vacation in "work attire." I am not a big one for formal either but our daughter loves it. We love looking at everyone else and we will be loving the cruise!;) We do dress for Palo, but that is it!

We are dressing up for formal night. For pirate night, we are wearing black shirts and pirate mickey hats, but not full-out costumes.

Found a pair of brown XW dress shoes on ebay and wonderful seller agreed to priority ship so I'd get them in time. Now just have to hunt down black ones...

Wow, its getting so close now! I'm already having trouble sleeping because I'm too excited/keep thinking of things I need to get done before we leave on Friday... 3 more sleepless nights til we're off!

DW, and I made makeshift pirate costumes and DD will be dressed as Elizabeth Swan

DD will be wearing a sailor dress DW will be wearing a nice dark blue dress and I will be wearing my Navy Dress Blues with medals (you will hear me walking down the halls) very noisy when the medals start clanging together.

and you should wear them with proud - clanging and all!!

We'll probably have a few articles of pirate gear on but we wont be going full out Jack Sparrow costumes.

We're also doing the formal night with simple suit and tie and evening gown for DW.

We get pretty into pirate night, we have it all from Halloween one year and left from prior cruises!
We are actually doing formal night. I am dressing in whatever fits as I just had a baby 3 months ago and that really limits what is available, but it will be the dressy thing I have worn in a very long time!

DD, 5 year old, has major anxiety and has not slept since we told her about the cruise, guh, off and on going on week 2. Can't wait to get ont he boat to remedy the situation.

Still getting through old posts since we are new to join. I see some fellow Homeschoolers:yay: I should add that to my signature...

We are homeschoolers.

Look for my post to you. (page 97, post #1443) I gave you a link with MANY patriotic/Mickey and flag pictures for your stateroom door. I knew that you were looking for some.

My two DDs will be wearing formal dresses for formal night. That is the night that DH and I will be in Palo so we will not be in formal clothes, but we will be dressed up. DH will wear dress pants, dress shirt, and jacket. I will have on a nice dress.
My two DDs will also be in full blown pirate costumes that we bought at our local costume store. I will be wearing black and white that night but not in pirate gear. DH doesn't even try. :rolleyes1

Our flight leaves in 10 hours trying to get through a half day at work. Can't believe I'll be at Port Orleans tonight and onboard Saturday. I brought my video camera to work today. I'm gonna watch video from last years cruise to get pumped up for this one. I can't wait to meet some of you Saturday.

Just popping in to say "Howdy, Y'all!" Work has been too busy for the past 12 days, so I haven't been around the Dis at all. SO looking forward to vacation! Two wake-ups and we're gone. And, I'm looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday!!! :goodvibes
