Congratulations!!!! It was such a surprise when it happened to us. It had actually never entered my mind that it could possibly happen.

It's a little after 11:00 and EVERYTHING is packed. It's all in my car to take back to storage while Preston is at school tomorrow. Wednesday night after the kids are in bed we will go pick it up and hit the hay so we can get up bright and early Thursday morning and leave by 6:00!! I'm sooo excited!

Looks like the pixie dust is flying around everywhere with all these upgrades. We're still in our room on level 2 but calling tomorrow to see if we can get a bump up to a room with a window, or at least put on deck 7.

How much pirate gear has everyone gotten for pirate night? I'm taking the son to the Magic Kingdom on Friday just to get hi some Pirate gear right from the source (and to have some fun before the trip). Hope everyone is excited. It's really starting to hit us now. Not quite sure how productive I will be at work this week.

I know when you get to the Port you can ask for an upgrade, but it is for a $$$. When we were upgraded YEARS ago - they notified us. I don't know if calling helps, if you don't want to pay. At the port, the upgrades are cheaper if they are available. If you don't want to pay, but want DCL to give it to you, I don't know if I would call and ask. I think they would be

You guys are super creative. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for the FE, that color is awesome! I kinda have a goofball looking one and I'm not even sure it'll stay up. I know some DISsers change their FE [almost] daily, if mine holds up I'll alternate between the 2 and if not, I'll just be boring and stick with the 1. Thanks again!!

We're still in the room we booked as well. I can't imagine that calling will help for a free upgrade but keep us posted.

WOW! All this talk of upgrades made me decide to log on to the DCL site to check and see if we had received any pixie dust...And low and behold, our stateroom number has changed. Originally we were on deck 6, in a category 6, but now we're on deck 8, same category! I'm assuming the rooms are the same though since it's the same category??

ETA: I just went and looked and realized that we're actually in a category 4! WOW! So instead of a Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah, we now have a Deluxe Family Sateroom with Verandah!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my DSIL and DN got upgraded as well. And I'm sending lots of pixie dust to the rest of you so that maybe everyone who's wishing for an upgrade will get one. (And just to clarify, we were totally happy with what we booked...I never even thought of wanting an upgrade, but we are definitely happy with what we got!) It still doesn't make sense as to why our reservation shows a category 4 room number, but still reads as "Category 6".

Missy - What's the room number? I called yesterday because my room is a cat 4, but the website still said cat 6. They told me that they always keep the cat the same as when you booked even when you change categories. What is the number and I'll look it up on my chart.

Thank you!! I'm excited! This is the 1st upgrade we've ever gotten! Now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my DSIL and DN get upgraded as well, especially since we wanted to be on the same deck!

My goodness...the Upgrade Fairy must be hard at work for this cruise. I just talked to my DN and they got upgraded to a Cat. 4 as well...In fact now they'll be right next door to us! I am so relieved...I really wanted them to get an upgrade.

I'm still sending Pixie Dust to the rest of you who are hoping for some magic!!

Wow, I was not on computer all weekend... had alot of catching up to do on this thread today! Congrats to everyone who got upgrades-- let the Pixie Dust fly! We booked GTY verandah and got a secret verandah stateroom, so we're thrilled.

I packed a little this weekend, not as much as I should've--pretty much everything but the clothes is packed. Still a long way to go before we leave on Friday. Took DS shoe shopping today, he wears XW shoes-- no where has XW dress shoes! I am searching for an online place that can get me toddler XW shoes by Friday morning. On a good note, found a suit for him (had outgrown last one) for $9.50 at the kid's resale shop! Woohoo! Great deal, and planning to get a necktie, but he may be wearing his crocs with it if I don't find some shoes ASAP. Planning to shop for me tomorrow while he's at preschool, so should be much faster than today's "I walk" "I do it" trip.

So much to do still, so little time! Ah well, I've packed my swimsuit and flip flops, so I'll survive, I just may enver see the inside of a dining room if I don't get motivated to pack this week.

I am glad you like it. And it was our pleasure. We have 5 for our state room (well 4 and one is double sided). Every time I made one I found a new and better way to make the next one.

Maybe if we wish a little harder, the MAGICal Pixie Dust will fall in our favor as well. I'm not giving up yet. More packing to do tonight and NO MORE trips to Wal-mart, they are taking too much money for this trip.

Kids are beginning not to go right to sleep at bedtime...asking a bunch of questions. FUN Times.
